  1. Hi guys, I've bought the new Canon M50 mirrorless but Canon's new .CR3 RAW file format isn't yet supported by your raw engine. Do you have any plans to add it soon or will I have to do a tedious workaround for the foreseeable future? It's the first time in the eight months since I've joined the Affinity revolution that I've missed Photoshop - Adobe RAW added it somewhere in April already.
  2. I have been using Affinity Photo since mid 2017 and overall love the program but do have some issues with the UI, especially the RAW engine develop mode. Exposure has this nice slider with an edit box containing 2 digit precision which is extremely helpful. My complaint is that things like Blackpoint go black very fast in full 1% increments, so why don't we have the same 2 digit precision control for the other sliders too? Having retired from the programming profession after over 30 years, I know for a fact that although 0 to 100% may be the range, creating a double precision floating point variable to control it is not rocket science. I like very precise control in RAW development. At the moment (for 18 months now), I've been forced to export into TIFF and bring back in for any semblance of control over such rudimentary features. Please consider putting in those boxes and give your users the ability to precisely control these aspects of the RAW development process. It would surely shorten my workflow. Thanks for listening.
  3. Currently the list of cameras supported by Serif Labs RAW is pretty outdated, and some not even recent cameras aren't supported at all, so maybe faster updates to the RAW engine would be called for. It is almost sad that many cameras aren't supported, because the engine isn't updated between the 1.6.x updates. Or other 1.x.x updates for that matter.
  4. Just reporting this here, as I didn´t see mention of it yet, nor found any thread about it in this forum. I half expect the issue to be well known already though, so this is just in case it´s not. I just noticed: when I set the RAW Engine to Apple (Core Image RAW), then open a RAW file, almost nothing shows up, but something either like an all black or a transparent canvas. It usually does not look like the correct size either, more like 4/3, but that aside. When I set RAW Engine back to Serif Labs, then reopen the same file, the image displays as usual. I checked only with files from two of my favourite cameras at this moment, a Sony A900 and a Fujifilm X-Pro1. Both show the same mishap but I didn´t check any other.
