I am currently editing a relatively large file with about 100 large (200MB / image) linked image files. Publisher actually saves the image previews. But when loading the project file, Publisher still loads all the files in the background, which takes a corresponding amount of time, consumes an enormous amount of RAM (with 7GB!) and slows down my computer. Publisher is hardly usable during this time, as it slows down a lot. Is there a way to deactivate this behaviour?

I like working with Publisher. The software is clear and intuitive in many areas. My wish 1): The possibility to take over full tone channels from PSD image files and to be able to assign them to a global colour as desired. My wish 2): A real design mode. Affinity seems to save previews in the project file. Nevertheless, all images are reloaded in the background every time, even if they are only linked. This costs an enormous amount of RAM and slows down the computer during this time. My wish 3) A separation-preview.

I realized when I installed Designer the first time that it was sonsuming so much memory, but now, after the lastest update, it is a little impossible to use. Its is happening when I select a image on Pixel Person e cut it. I only can stop it closing the file and some times killing the task of AD. Take a look.
