I would like to see a radial array feature that is fully procedural, meaning, you create the object you want to array and have instances created along the a set midpoint. That way, you can modify the original shape that is being arrayed and have all instances update accordingly. If I had to do this now, it would require a lot of manual adjustments. That would make creating graphics like these a lot less time-consuming and more enjoyable:

I am a B&W photographer. My RAW files end up a bit too dark and, consequently, lose detail. I am trying to learn how to use the radial gradient tool to lighten up areas. I would appreciate being pointed to a few good tutorials for beginners on this topic. I am not talking about using the Gradient Map. Thanks,

Hi all, I am wondering if anyone here knows how to make a pattern like this in Designer. Using illustrator, all I have to do is make a dashed line stroke on a circle. Notice how the lines get wider the farther they are away from the circle. I have not been able to figure out how to do this effect with affinity. The dashed stroke seems to just make dots that surround the circle with Designer.

Please add a radial blur to FX list, or just expand the Guassian blur options to include different blurs. Thanks.

Is there a radial filter (lightroom equivalent)? This is what I do in "lightroom". Drag circle tool over dark face. increase brightness or shadows. Done! I don't subscribe to Adobe and don't want to, but i do own version 5 which is great for quick photo fixes. This is what I do in Affinity photo Desktop Mac. Use select tool with feather. Add adjustment layer. (brightness or whatever) Deselect Add radial or gaussian blur Adjust effect. It's way longer to do and to adjust than it is in Lightroom with the 1 develop tool. Or sometimes in AP-desktop I add an adjustment layer (curves) Bump up the middle of the curve Select flood tool and flood the whole layer back to "no effect" press X to change to opposite colour select brush with appropriate hardness and transparency and size then paint on the brightness (mid range curve) where I need it Am I missing something? An easier way perhaps.

Hello, everybody, I'm curious when the radial gradient direction & distance features will be coming to AD. This is a feature I use of Illustrator's gradient tool all the time. I've attached examples of the tool's results, for those reading this who are unfamiliar with the effect. In Adobe's UI, the feature is implemented via the software's Gradient Annotator, either by dragging the small dot just past a radial/elliptical gradient's origin, or by clicking with the gradient tool on a radial gradient, somewhere away from the Gradient Annotator. Anyway, especially for applying realistic lighting effects to rounded objects, this feature simply is a must-have. In the mean time, anybody who knows an AD-native technique for applying (a reasonable facsimile of) such an effect in AD, I'd be happy to hear your suggestions. Until then, I'm going to be ⌘-tabbing a lot, in order to make and mask raster fills when I'd really rather be using vector. Thanks in advance! —Russ Johnson Murfreesboro, TN
