It's for the Publisher Beta but I guess one fix covers all. 1.7 on OSX Please Help. -
Hi friends, My little sister lost a friend to cancer last year. He was 17 and an athlete up till diagnosis. Tough story. I've been tasked with designing a logo for a memorial golf tournament. I am having trouble identifying a Designer/Photo tutorial to achieve the look I am aiming for. I'd like to take his image and convert it simple illustration above text. Any assistance and/or direction to a tutorial would be very much appreciated. All the best, Jon See examples and provided photo attached.

Hello! I read the license but I still got a specific question that I'm not 100% sure. I have bought Designer for personal use. I also work at a company where I got tasks where I can use Designer. My question is: Can I use my own Designer license at work where basically I do not own the computer (Windows)? It is only me who uses the computer (and the software) but it belongs to the company. My guess is no, but I need confirmation. Thank you! Levi

I have a lot of question about Publisher. Question 1 insert page number can't work. insert page number.mov Question 2 Can't change the borders of table. q2.mov Question 3 Can't insert table of contents. I can use this features when I open a new doc but it's still weird why it can't work successfully? p.s.And the attachment is my AP file. Thanks for any suggestion. publisher.afpub

Hello there, I am currently on the 10-day trial of Affinity Photo testing the waters. I've been a long-time Photoshop and GIMP user, however I have recently become disgruntled with Photoshop and am looking for a powerful alternative. Affinity looks great in a lot of ways, however I came across something quite alarming. Affinity doesn't support ICO? Even the free open source Gimp can edit an ico file, why can't affinity? Will that support be coming soon? Is there a plugin that allows for ico's to be edited? Thanks! Jesse

Hey, I am sorry if this question is already asked, but I could not find a solution to my problem. I just started the trial version of Affinity Designer, and I have the following problem: Consider two circles that are partially overlapping: Is there any way to remove the region that is overlapping from one object? Sure I could realize almost the same when I just place the second circle on the top layer and give it the background colour, but this is very annoying when creating larger objects. I think this is basically an inversion of the mask function, where only the overlaying part is kept and everything else is hidden. Cheers, Snizl -
I recently purchased these two applications because I'm looking into university courses to do with graphic design etc. I'd like to pursue a career in this field. Sadly I'm rather new to all this. I've looked at the tutorials that Affinity give you for these two applications via their website and via their apps, both the written and video format. However I don't find them to be that helpful and because of that I was curious if there is anywhere online that can provide me with more in-depth tutorials? If there isn't, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop are the most popular applications that are similar to Affinity Designer & Photo but are they similar enough to where I could watch tutorials for Illustrator & Photoshop then use what I learnt from that and put it into practice in Affinity Designer & Photo? Also, I know Affinity provide coffee table style books for these applications (no PDF versions available) but they would cost around £80 for the set and right now I can't see the justification for it, at least for me, unless the books really are the best option for tutorials. Keep in mind though that I'm using a 12'7 iPad Pro, not a desktop. Yes I have the Apple Pencil, don't worry. If anyone can provide me with links, advice or just point me in the right direction it would be extremely helpful. -
hi recently I have tried to make my own vector brushes . and I have met a problem . here is my settings . I want to make a brushes like needle pen . and when I use it , most of time , it shows like a needle pen , but sometimes it suddenly becomes very wide , and it appears without regularity . just as it show in the lower right corner of the picture . can anyone help me ? thank you very much (*¯︶¯*)

Hello! I've purchased Affinity Designer and Photo when they came out for Windows, but it was with an email address that I no longer have (deleted it). Is it possible to change it to the new one, so I can use my current email address for installs? Will this cause any future problems? Extra questions: this one's my old account https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/profile/42426-tamascs/ . It's also tied to my old, no longer active email address, is there something I can do to recover it? Thanks in advance! -
Sometimes I'll do a quick test edit with low- or medium-res versions of images. If I'm happy with how the test edit is going, I've wanted to be able to pull in the high-res versions of the images and use them to replace the medium-res versions. I'd love for all masks, adjustments, etc. that I've done on the test edit to be correctly applied, or at least scaled accordingly to fit the new image size. Obviously, I'd need to make sure the height:length ratio and cropping placement of the high-res images is exactly the same as the lower res versions. I've looked around on the forums, tested this several ways on AP, but am not sure if this is even possible. Do you have suggestions of ways I can either a) scale up / down masks and adjustments to perfectly fit new image sizes, or b) swap out a smaller pic with a larger version of the pic and have all edits be properly applied? -

I'm trying to make some sporty text logo and was wondering how best to do the warp effect where the top is straight but the lower edge/baseline of the text is curved. In illustrator you go to Effects > Warp > Arc lower, but was wondering if Designer has something like this? -
Hello, new to the forum. I own Affinity Photo license. I had to have photoshop or something really close to photoshop for school. I went with Affinity Photo because it looked much better + it was cheaper right. Now when I don't study anymore. I find it more and more obvious that i need vector based program for my creations. Is it possible to somehow swap license from Photo to Designer (The price should be the same)? Sorry if this question was asked here once. I tried to find answer to my question but I wasn't successful. Thank you in advance, Enster

Hello I have two questions 1. latest Affinity photo for mac have problem with Neat Image photoshop plug in. it just shut down Affinity photo when apply. if not solve immediatly please let me know download pre-version please. 2. How can i select layer with right mouse click like photoshop? i have much of layers and without this feature it's too hard to work. Thanks -
Hi All, I recently got Affinity Photo to stitch some panoramas I've shot and I'm starting to get frustrated. I shoot 360 tours so I'm always on the lookout for new photo stitching software, but I'm not exactly ecstatic about the results. When I upload a folder of about 82 photos and hit stitch all I get is a light blue rectangle with just a little bit of one photo in the middle. All the photos have sufficient overlap, probably about 80%. The photos were shot in brackets, but I converted them to singular HDR photos. Is there a solution to this problem. I was thinking maybe some way to force all photos to be in one panorama, like Autopano. I was pretty excited to use AP, not going to lie. The features like roll correction and autofill are pretty amazing, I just hope I can connect the photos so I can use those features. Any help would be appreciated. -

Hey, This might sound so imature but there are actually digners that redesign textures in minecraft. I regular use photoshop to create these designs but now i found this tool for only 60 bucks permanent and thaught if this is a good replacedment. I need to know which program i should rather use when im only designing with my mouse on rasters in pixels (16x16, 32x32, 64x64 ....). Siaro~ -
When I make a LUT in affinity photo I will generally compare it to my original edit. But when I make a LUT in Affinity Photo the colors seem to switch. I made an edit to a photo giving it a teal tint and when I applied the LUT to that same image to compare it, it came out as an orange tint. Is there anything I am doing wrong? Thanks -
Hello, I've been floating on the forums for a few weeks. This is my virgin post. I am trying to make an ink stain similar to the one pictured below. I have both AP and AD, but I prefer the element to be vector. I am hoping for either a tutorial or your suggestions for how to make something similar in AD. I do not want to just trace this one. I'm so stumped. Any help will be so appreciated! -
Hello, A few weeks ago I got myself a new Surface Book and Affinity Photo. I wanted to test how good the touch screen works and I started drawing something. But I could not do that properly because everytime I put down my hand whilest drawing it started painting underneath my handpalm. In Windows I found the option to ignore touch input, whilest the pen is beeing used, but if I lift the pen too high the same problem occures. Now I wanted to ask the Affinity Team if they have a solution to this problem, maybe theres a option to ignore touch input and only accept the pen. Yours faithfully, Lukas.K -
