Hi, On the Print dialogue box we have FIT TYPE SCALE and FIT TO PRINTABLE, both terminologies self explanatory, that is until affinity invented something bizarre methinks.
I have been experimenting and printing A4 Landscape facing pages designed to be read as A5 page booklet. Now when I use 12 and 14 point fonts and print out on FIT TO PRINTABLE, everything fits, except that my fonts are so much smaller than 12 point, more like 9 and 10 point, but it fits and the preview panel shows a good resemblance to the print and the on screen page. When I print on FIT TYPE SCALE, we have a TRUE output that is what I designed in affinity, IE 12 and 14 point print out at 12 and 14 point, Except that now it simply does not fit on the page and the preview does indeed have a red overlay indicating an error. The question I have is this: The latter printout does in no way reflect what I see on my design on screen. Mmmm........? This then appears to constitute reversal of wysiwyg, or a rather wysiNwyg.
Thanks
Chris
