There is no way to save and then turn on and off different sets of slices for export. In my document, I have a set of slices which I want to export in high res, and another set I want in low res; but I don't want to export BOTH at the same time, sometimes I only want to export the high res, and another time the low res... It would be beneficial to be able to have an option to save multiple sets of checked slices and quickly switch between these sets, specially in documents like mine with 50+ slices. Thanks for your consideration.

Hi, I love the software, but miss some crutches I often use in other software. I think it would be convenient to have a few preset white balance settings in a drop down menu in develop persona. E.g. As shot - Sunny - cloudy - shade etc. that usually helps in finding a good starting point for wb. I guess it would be great if demanding individual users could tweak these to account for their specific cameras, but for me that doesn't seem necessary. At least, rawtherapee works for me perfectly this way. Thanks. Wouter- 2 replies

Is there any tutorial or article on how to decide which Preset to choose for Web Document in Affinity Designer? Especially if you are transferring from Affinity Designer designs to Bootstrap 4 Framework? And what if you are just creating a single graphics asset like logo, header, etc.? -
In document presets you have a WEB type that has VIDEO resolutions mixed in. It would be great to have a VIDEO preset that not only does video resolutions but also the correct colorspace for that resolution... SD 720x480 rec601 720 1280x720 rec709 1080 1920x1080 rec709 2K 2560x1440 rec709 2K HDR 2560x1440 rec2020 4K 3840x2160 rec709 4K HDR 3840x2160 rec2020 6K ... 8K ... -
Hi - I'd like to start with a standard brush, change the settings to my liking (size, flow, pressure dynamics etc) then save in my own group. Looks like I should be able to (I've created a group) but can't save a brush. Thanks

I made some channel mixer adjustments for AD and AP which I'd like to share with you. You can add them to your AP though opening the document, selecting each group, selecting the "channel mixer" adj, so that it's panel opens up, click "add preset". I am new to Affinity Photo and was just experimenting with some photo's. During some attempts at split toning I made a custom presets, and saved it. However now I cannot delete this custom preset anymore. How do I approach this? Anyone any ideas? Thank you :) -
I made some LUT adjustments for AD and AP which I'd like to share with you. the attached Affinity file features embedded documents so that you can easily preview the effect of all curves on a single photo and then choose a curve that fits best/ gives you a good starting point/ idea. You can add them to your AP though opening the document, selecting each group, selecting the "LUT" adj, so that it's panel opens up, click "add preset". Hello, We are currently evaluating AD to see if it could be a nice tool for our employees who need to do quick annotations on images. At this time we are facing a limitation which look very small but which is very limitative in the image annotation workflow. The use case is the following: many of our users just would like to take a screenshot of something on their screen, to paste the clipboard image in an image editor application, to draw or write on it and to save it on disk in a common image file format. This workflow is efficient only if the user has a low number of operations to do. Unfortunately when we create a new document with AD the New Document dialog window doesn't automatically get the image size from the clipboard, as Photoshop does. Hence our request for this feature. It will help us a lot (I mean it!). Thank you very much -
On the New Document dialogue can we have presets for common video sizes? One use of the programme is to create title layers for import into video NLEs. Thank you.

I have acquired quite a few really solid photoshop brush tool presets over the years but I haven't found a way to use them either Affinity product. Is there something I am missing or is this not currently supported? Any plans to add compatibility? Thanks! -
When exporting JPEG files, the default preset is always "JPEG(High quality)". Does anyone know how to change the default present for saving JPEG? It would be great if I could change the default one to the preset I created. Thank you very much. Regards, Sleepy

A mixed question and suggestion. For UI work, since we have 1x, 2x, 3x asset export (but no .5x export), why are UI presets, such as the iPhone 6 for example, offered by default set up at retina resolution? This switches from 72 ppi to 144ppi, meaning all assets are exported at @2x by default, correct? It seems the suggested workflow from the Export Persona (which is my standard workflow) is always to work at 1x and export up from there. So I typically switch to 72 dpi from one of these templates. However, the bundled UI assets are all set up @2x to fit the retina-sized presets. It takes quite a bit of grouping and fiddling to proportionally size down these constraint-setup UI elements to work at 1x. I would suggest having all vector UI assets set up at 1x by default based on the Export Persona, but for sake of resizing, I put together a quick video for how I set up an iOS status bar so that it's both using constraints and is resizable with a couple of clicks. https://www.dropbox.com/s/d0ua2oyt5t19c59/affinity-asset-constraints-suggestion.mp4?dl=0 -
Hi, Sorry if this has been asked before, searched but couldn't find a thread on this. I was wondering if it's possible to create custom page presets with Designer? Photoshop had this and it's a big time saver. Actually mostly it's that I can't always remember all the dimensions...hero banners, FB ads, blog featured images, etc. Would love to be able to have these saved. Thanks, Mike -
Affinity designer is brillant software for my. Please give me in version 1.5 this simple function. Save page preset as... in new document window. The absence of this function killing me every day many times :-) I painted everything in jpg. Thank You very very very much... ----- sorry for my Tartar english (translator)

I saved a preset in an adjustment layer, how do I apply that preset to other images? -
Using Affinity Photo on my Mac Pro and my Macbook I would love to transfer my custom Adjustment Presets from one to the other. Where are they stored? Any advice how to to that? -
Hi All, Trying to figure out how best to save the changes/settings after I've worked on a RAW file. I've looked in the Affinity Help and so far while looking in the Basic Develop Persona section I found mention of "Save Presets" and an icon associated with it. (see the screen shot attached). I've also found a mention in the forums of adding presets via the pull down menu above the Basic/Exposure settings (screen shot also attached) It's difficult finding specific topics in the built in help as some things are mentioned once but can not be used as search criteria to find out more info. Having used Photoshop previously I think some of the trouble is terminology and a bit of semantics, but it would be good to clear up what means what, and how you might be able to see changes after you save a Raw file as when I return to a changed and saved Raw/af.photo file the sliders are all back to zero, which is not what I'm used to using Photoshop. So, questions: 1. How does one see what changes have been made to a Raw file after adjustments have been made and the file saved and re-opened, as it seems on reopening all the sliders are zeroed and not showing the changes that had been made? 2. Where can the "Save Presets" icon shown in Affinity Help be found on screen or in which menu? 3. Is there an equivalent of an .xmp file created after adjusting a RAW file? 4. Do you have to "add preset" via the Basic pull down menu each time you want to save your adjusted settings to each and every file instead of it re-opening with the settings already done and showing on the sliders? 5. Is "adding" the same or equivalent of "saving" presets, or are they two separate things doing two different jobs? (tried to illustrate this with another screen shot) Think that covers it.

In Affinity + photo Is there any way you can bundle multiple adjustments to make a custom preset. I have a load in Aperture, some very particular and useful. A custom preset is great for ensuring a batch has the same look and feel.-

((-; So here are a few Questions, that are very important for me: Color: - can AD save and load individuel Color-Sets and save them with the Project-File? - is there support for HKS/Pantone Colors? - handle different Spot/CMYK colors in one Document? - any support of Preview ICC-Profiles? Export: - support for Adobe Acrobat Profiles or Distiller? - otherwise: can AD handle different Output-Profiles for EPS/PDF with export-Details like Cropmarks etc.? - export Selection only? Fonts: - Fonts on Paths or Objects over more than one Line? - Fonts convert to Paths? Paste: - Paste Vector-Objects inside another Object? Trace: - is a Trace-Tool included? (That was a very helpful Function at FreeHand, where you can do a selection on several Objects and they will be traced as a new Objects. You might remember? Know what i mean?) Ok, thats it.
