  1. I have a macOS updated to current Ventura software, I downloaded all of my V1 and V2 affinity apps from the developers site. First I installed V2 Migrated V1 into V2 when prompted Then I erased all V1 apps as best I could from Mac OS I have yet to see what this did or any effects this will have if any at all. Im interested in creating as much space on my computer as possible by getting rid of all V1 package contents, cache, etc. Can anyone tell me if there is a efficient way to do this manually and with out a cleaner. in my experience the cleaners still tend to leave a lot behind and id like to trash all of the old V1 contents. I just can’t remember which folders I should check in macOS , any help would be great ! Im also interested to know about the best way to install/uninstall 1) Install/uninstall A. Did you Uninstalled V1 affinity apps to include photo, designer, publisher, before you installed the V2 version? OR B. Did you Install V2 and then uninstall V1 apps after ? Did you encounter Any problems? did you find a solution? 2) Migrate V1 into V2 A.Did you migrate V1 into V2 when prompted ? OR B.Did you decide not to migrate V1 to V2 and install plug-ins add-ons etc. afterwards ? Did you encounter Any problems? did you find a solution? *ANY INFOR YOU ARE ABLE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE QUESTIONS ABOVE ARE APPRECIATED Thanks !
  2. I contacted Silverfast asking if they would consider also making sure their plug-in SRDx works with Affinity Photo for Mac. Got the answer that SRDx requires OpenCL support, which Affinity Photo (according to them) does not provide to plug-ins. Reading some Photoshop forum threads it seems that Photoshop on MacOS supports Metal as well as OpenCL, which at least in part could be a factor to why some plugins does not work with Affinity. I would like to propose a feature request: Support OpenCL GPU acceleration on Mac and allow plug-ins to utilize this.
  3. I am wanting to move over to Affinity from Illustrator and need to know if it will support a third party plugin for Roland Cut Studio. Instead of having to export as an eps and then open in the Cut Studio program. Thank you,
  4. I am using the excellent Nobe Color Remap plugin in Affinity Photo, which is a supported platform by the developer. As it stands now I have to enable "Allow "Unknown" plugins to be used" -- I would like the plugin to reclassified as "Working".
  5. Are there any plans to add scripting support? I notice there is no Applescript library at all but am interested to know if there are plans to add Applescript or perhaps Javascript support. Virtually everything we do as far as creating PDFs, packaging, placing images and text, formatting, proofing, sending pages to print etc is done via script. Tagged text goes hand-in-hand with scripting so I think this needs to also be supported.
  6. I would love to see Affinity supporting Alien Skin plug-ins like Exposure 7, please consider!
  7. So, I know this might be a long shot, but Blurb is my to go to place for making books. Until now I've always used InDesign with the Blurb bookmaker plug-in to create the books. The software and plug-in is made by blurb, but I hope your team can connect with them and persuade them to facilitate a means to make it work in Publisher as well. That would mean I'd be 100% Adobe free in the future. So crossing my fingers here for news. Thanks
  8. Hi Guys, sorry in advance for my bad english I'm trying the trial version about Affinity Photo and that is what I found that doesn't work well: - Editing size and hardness of brush is really annoying: in PS I just need to right-click and fix how I want or Alt+right-click to edit in the fastest way the settings. Can you implement this in the next version? - Studio editing is pretty good but I can't group the tools, for example: if I want that all the tools selection are in a single group I can't do it, in PS I just need to drag them in a tool's icon tool to make them stay together. - The Blemish Removal tool works only with circles and I can't drag that... Under, in the info, there also written DRAG: bug or drag is just to select where Photo have to take the pixels to correct? IMHO Should be a brush... - During the selection work on PS if I press Shift I can add the next drag to my selection, if I use Alt I will delete. Can you implement also that please? - Develop Persona: There's somethings that doens't work good: I can't work simultaneously on more raws image (if I have a sequence I want to edit in the same way all the shots in syncro...) The raw edited can't be closed and worked later: I'll lose all my corrections. Can you fix that? Just like the .xmp files of ACR or in the metadata like LR I can't find the HSL panel that I use really much on PS or LR, can you implement please? Last thing: can you encourage people to create panels also for you? TK Panels and Beauty Retouch is a must for my workflow in landscape and portrait..! However Affinity Photo is a really, really, REALLY good: Smooth, fast, unexpensive, etc. If I think that you are just at 1.5 version... Wow. Keep up to good work! When you'll fix this problems I'll surely buy and incentivate my friends to buy the program. Thanks to have made a good competitor of Photoshop! =D
  9. Hey Guys! Im just getting into Affinity Photo and editing in general and have a couple of questions: 1- is there a quick way to rotate a brush head in Affinity photo? - I know you can dbl click the brush type and drag the rotation slider but wondered if there is a short cut? 2- Does anyone know if the Social Kit Pro plug-in works with Affinity photo? Many thanks!
  10. Hey guys: We are VERY interested in this product. We do use Photoshop CC and have a lot of money invested in plug-ins with Photoshop. (alien-skin, Portrait Pro, etc). Will this product work with Plug-Ins? If not do you have any development plans to add that capability? Thanks! John Studio 316
  11. Windows 7 Professional Dell 8900 16GB 64 bit I have been checking the plug-ins which I added. (I copied the contents of the Adobe plug-in folder to the Affinity plug-in folder). Program crashed twice - I'm assuming crash reports are being sent automatically, if not, let me know what you need. Alien Skin Exposure X Message "This filter requires editable transparency. Please turn off Lock Transparent Pixels in the Layers Palette." Before I could do that - a crash message appeared. POSITIVE - there is a great feature when the program is restarted to recover the file you were working on. This is fantastic. In Photoshop, the file is gone. Will be back with more details on the plug-ins I am checking. Luv luv luv this program!
  12. Hi, I'm a happy owner of a Canon ImageProGraf PRO-1000 printer which comes with a nice Photoshop plugin for printing called "Print Studio Pro". In CS6 I access it from the FILE / AUTOMATE menu. In another post a link was given to the plug-ins you support and don't yet support (http://www.miguelboto.com/affinity/photo/plugins-support/) I would like to get Print Studio Pro added to the list as I've found it to be a great printing tool. Or, if someone can give me instructions how to get it working that would be great, but if not getting it "on the list" might be a good idea. I've attached a screen shot of the folder it creates in Applications on the Mac by default. Regards, PG
  13. Hi it is my second post here like I said in my first post about 3D import for texture like a Maya or Maya LT or 3DS Max project, I just found out about that software/tool. So here's my question is there any chance for Flinto and other interactive prototyping tools support or plug-in with Affinity Designer? It could be so awesome. I am currently looking for a new set of tools for my workflow, and I'll be so happy if I could reduce the amount of tools I am working with as an interactive and immersive designer. So if Affinity can be really good for UX/UI design, concept art and 3D texture and color...and prototyping support than I'll say goodbye to Adobe. Thank You Oh by the way guys I forgot in my first post to say GREAT JOB and keep going, even if I buy it or not I think you still did a good job and this is good to put more tools in the market so that designers and creators have more choice for their creativity.
