  1. I'd like to specify the exact size of some of the cog's parameters, but the context toolbar only allows me to work in percentages. It would be nice if I could enter the size of the object or, when editing, allow me to snap to existing objects so I can make sure they are the exact same size. 2024-03-30 13-16-21.mp4
  2. I saw many people have this problem too, even since 2016, creating simple pixel-based lines is a nightmare for who works on pixel art using any of Affinity products. A very very basic simple pixel-perfect line tool is needed. I am waiting for 5 years and what, maybe have to wait for another 5 years? Shift + click and rasterize every lines? C'mon, what is wrong with you guys? You should try Ms. Paint 's line tool.
  3. Hello, new user here. I'm very happy with the purchase, but there's a little thing I'd like to ask in order to be able to ditch exporting to Photoshop completely. I intend to use AD mostly to generate 2D artwork in multiple resolutions*, and it's really important to control the amount of antialiasing. Without that, there's always a lengthy "pixel cleanup" stage that follows the creation of any asset. While being able to fine tune the antialias intensity would be amazing, I'd be happy with a simple "turn off antialiasing" option for both the pixel preview and the "rasterise"option. I originally thought that's what the "View quality" option in the preferences would do, but it seems to have no effect in the image. Bug, maybe? Thanks! * These are intended to be used in "pixel perfect" graphics (no scaling and no fractional coordinates, thus no filtering and maximum sharpness).
  4. I find the Decimal place for unit types option very misleading as it doesn't changes the real values, it only displays rounded data without changing their real value. This means that if I open an existing file with a square starting at X: 0 Y: 0.04 and my preferences are set to show only 1 decimal, it will show me X: 0 Y: 0 but I will get a blurry edges on the top and bottom of the square. This means that, even if you have Forced pixel alignement and Move by whole pixel active, if you try to move your object to realign it, it won't work. Since you can only move the square by whole pixel, you won't be able to realign misaligned points unless you type in a zero in the transform panel. Now I understand that you don't wan't to change a design simply when opening a file, but here is what I would love to see : A warning in the transform panel that notify me that the displayed value has been rounded (changing the color of the rounded decimal to red or orange for exemple might be enough). This would have value even if you don't work with pixels. When I move a point or an object while Forced pixel alignement and Move by whole pixel are active, I want it to actually force the pixel alignement so that one moved the point or the selected point from an object (as defined in the transform panel) is actually pixel perfect. An button to realign a point to be pixel perfect and if an object is selected, realign all points to the nearest pixel. An option to actually apply the rounding in the transform panel and not only rounding the displayed value. Last one, artboard should always be positioned on whole pixels. You can go nuts trying to fix an object and finally realize that the artboard is itself misaligned. These changes would make life a lot easier for designer that need this kind of accuracy.
  5. Hey everyone, hope that you are well. I have a personal blog where I like to create pixel art. Still learning but yeah, I'm very comfortable with Affinity Designer for my normal vector work so I decided to give it a try for raster images. The thing is: the cursor is driving me nuts! Whenever I increase brush size (2px and up) the "preview" pixel that is going to be painted is displayed top left of the cursor. This video may help illustrate what I'm talking about https://screencast.com/t/k8yET7ijH Is this normal or the expected way for the tool to work? I'm using square brushes.
  6. I need option to set some kind of "Lock to pixel" mode for every new object im creating. Now every object is created in sub-pixel mode, but arrows and shift-arrow work in pixel mode and every time i need manually set object x/y positions to rounded pixels. Like 960,7 px to 960 px Sometimes i need sub-pixel mode, but just in 5% cases. I do not work in Retina mode.
