  1. I purchased Frankentoon Neptune Brushes from the Affinity website. I have been trying to duplicate a brush in the Neptune Ink category and move it to a favorites category. When I right click the brush, the only option that is not grayed out is move to new category. When I click on move to new category, all the options are grayed out. I contacted customer support at Frankentoon and the say it is an Affinity problem that is preventing me from duplicating and moving brushes in this category. It appears that other brushes I purchased or were given as free directly from the Affinity website may have the same problem. Brushes I purchased from the Frankentoon website allow me to duplicate and move them. Is it possible to duplicate and move a brush in the Neptune Ink to a new category?
  2. Hi! Drawing using symmetry and mirroring works fine, there's a tiny bit of slow down sometimes, but nothing too serious. But drawing using only symmetry is a lot slower, to the point is almost unusable. I find it odd since I'd presume both functions would work the same. See the attached video for a visual sample of the issue. Happens on an iPad Pro 9.7" (2016) with the latest iPadOS (13.3.1) and latest Affinity Designer (1.7.3). Thanks! RPReplay_Final1580374739.mp4
  3. It's what the topic title says, the further you zoom in, the slower the brushes becomes. If you're zoomed way out brushes perform between well to acceptable, depending on their complexity. As you keep zooming in, the performance drops further and further until they're unusable. This is true even for basic round brushes, but it's more noticeable in complex brushes, such as Frankentoon's. I've also noticed it's worse if you're drawing over vector shapes, which is the whole point of these brushes. See the video for a visual reference. iPad Pro 9.7" with latest version of iOS 12.4 and Affinity Designer 1.7.1. I've tested and this also happens on Windows, the more you zoom the worse the brushes perform. But on Windows, especially on a desktop machine, the sheer processor power masks the issue. Thanks! 4. Hello there! I want to share with all this nice community the latest Frankentoon's Franken-Pack: Pattern Painter. Pattern Painter is a cool collection of raster/pixel brushes that can be used either on Designer or Photo... and even cooler, you can use 'em on Photo for iPad :) I've always liked the idea of painting with patterns, even with software that allows to use pattern fills. I don't know, but I love the experimental and 'crafty' feel that is the joy of brushing in seamless shapes on your canvas. You can combine them, change colors on the fly, layer 'em up for some cool effects... If you want to know more, click HERE to get more info... (I've created a super fancy and colorful info page for you guys :D ) Hope you all like this pack!
  5. Hello everybody! Just wanted to let you know that yesterday Frankentoon released a new brush pack for Affinity Designer called Texturizer Pro. It's a collection of more than 50 texture brushes for being used in Pixel Persona. The brushes can be mixed together to reproduce a (super) wide range of real-life textures, from very subtle noisy ones to more extreme/destroyed surfaces. You can create super complex and organic looking results super fast and very easily. Here's an illustration I made using the pack (even works for text effects as you can see) I've been working on this pack for the last 6 months. I spent like 4 months collecting textures with my camera, then selected the more suitable for the pack, edited in Affinity Photo and after a month of work within Affinity Designer, they're finally here! Has been a blast to say the least. One of the most fun and exciting experiences in my life! So I hope you can have lots of fun messing around with your art too. You can have fun with this pack too for only: $5.99 Get more info, examples and buying options HERE
  6. Hi friends, I have been looking for an answer to my question in the thread of brushes questions but I think none of them are meetings my needs, I think that what I need is firstly to be sure that there is that possibility and then after to exactly know the procedings, I do not want toget fixed in how is it done with Ps or Procreate or any other. It is much more important to know this in Affinity from scratch. And so.....what are the methods for creating customized or ouw own brushes either in vector paths or in pixel painting brushes? For sure....admitting the difference between. both kind of brushes. I may be even more interested in the pixel brushes, Let's say, to have brushes with geometricao shapes, or flowers, animals, textures and so on. Anything. I thank you in advance for your kindi interest. You are a really great team and a great memberhood. Rosa
