I was directed here after posting a feature request on Affinity's Facebook Page. Here's the text: "I just discovered your OS X Photos Extensions today and they're awesome. I used Retouch Healing to fix a blemish in a photograph and it looks seamless. It's much better than Photos' own Retouch. I would love to see some sort of percentage system on your sliders. For instance, I was fooling around with the Strength slider on the Miniature tool and felt that it would've been much more useful if there was a 0% to 100% scale." I hope this request will be implemented. Thanks.

Hi, can anyone advise the most efficient workflow for opening images stored in Photos on the Mac in the full affinity Photo app (as opposed to the Photos extensions)? Many thanks

whats the best way to transfer pic's from photos to affinity?

I downloaded the latest Affinity Photo betas and I notice new extensions!!!! This is awesome!!! Can I make some requests? 1) Can we have a scroll bar on the Develop extension so I can see all the adjustments? I cannot set most of the noise adjustment when the window is too small. 2) Can we also add brush/gradiant overlay for local adjustments for Develop extension? 3)Also can we also add a level and curves adjustment to the Develop extension? Thank you very much!!!! This stuff is getting more awesome with each update!!!

I think it would be nice to have integration with Apple Photos. I believe that Apple offers an option for plugins , so perhaps by clicking a plugin icon we can open the image in Affinity. So, it would be nice to use Apple Photos for importing and navigation and do editing in Affinity. Right now I have to export the files ( not a big deal ) and then work on them. Initially, I disliked Apple Photos because it seemed to me rudimentary , however recently I have been testing it against other Raw editors including Lightroom ( horrible rendition of color at least for NEF ) and Capture One ( surprisingly Apple Photos handles color almost as good as Capture One, capture One has excellent Shadow and Highlight recover and Clarity filters , other than that I am happy with Apple Photos )

Is it possible to edit pictures in Affinity Photo from within the mac-app Photos?

Affinity Extensions are now available in the Mac App Store version of Affinity Photo (1.4). For more information please read the Extensions for Apple Photos + Video Tutorial thread. Please note: If you have any questions regarding Affinity Retouching, please post them in the Questions section :) How do I find the Affinity Retouching Photos extension: The Photos extension aka Affinity Retouching is currently only available in the latest Customer Beta build of Affinity Photo. The Customer Beta builds can only be used by users who have the paid Mac App Store version of Affinity Photo installed. You will also need the latest version of OS X, El Capitan. Download and install the latest Affinity Photo Customer Beta build from here. Once installed, go to System Preferences... from the Apple Menu Click Extensions > Photos Select Affinity Retouching When you next edit an image in Photos you will have access to the Affinity Retouching extension. I've followed the above steps but Affinity Retouching is not showing in extensions. Now what? Try launching the Affinity Photo Beta version first before following the above steps. Is Affinity Retouching available in the Affinity Photo Trial? Not at the moment. If this changes, I will update this post. When will Affinity Retouching be available in the Mac App Store version of Affinity Photo? Affinity Retouching will be integrated into the MAS version of Affinity Photo in a future Mac App Store update. When I have more information, I will update this post. Hope this helps! Leigh

Hallo to everyone, i'm trying to share my photos from AP to Apple Photos, but just can't make it... Any advice? Once finished my editing i go on share, photos.. but nothing happens.... :blink: :blink:

I am brand new to Affinity Photos and El Capitan... I have been using Lightroom and been thinking of switching to Photos.. just to simplify my life... I like what I have seen with AP...however I cannot seem to use it as an extension in Photos.... Is it possible? Apple support seems to think it is not possible...

OSX 10.11 Media browser won't open files in either iPhoto or photos both of which are stored on an external drive. (won't open on board files either) I am experiencing endless Affinity crashes. I would like some advice on how I can access my RAW photos for editing as at the moment I am disappointed with my purchase.

Here's a rusted truck photo that I took quite a few years ago and always wanted to mess around with. Having great fun finding out how to use Affinity Photo, incredibly powerful software. Thanks for making it so reasonably priced! Ive included the original photo too for comparison. Photo taken with Nikon D70 (ISO 200, f5.6, 1/125s) in Queensland, Australia in 2005.

I'm really enjoying affinity photo and designer software, and it will be great if affinity creates a program to manage the content and photos, like bridge, lightroom, aperture, iPhoto, Photos, etc...

Hello, I want to start off by thanking the Affinity team. I installed the first beta version of AffinityPhoto when it was released. I am a photographer who used Photoshop to edit all my photos. I was impressed enough will the beta version that I started editing my work photos with Affinity. I should've exported my edited photos when completed yet i didn't. Now the beta version is no longer there and i cannot get access to my edited work photos. They got lost with the first beta version. Is there any way to get them back? Thanks in advance: )

Hi all! I used to be an Aperture user and now I decided to get Affinity a go instead of Photoshop or Lightroom. I am not using any DAM so far but instead just importing files from Apple Photos and then edit in Affinity. This way though I do not feel confident on how to import RAW files. I have RAW and JPEG together in the same files in Photos, and when importing it seems to select the JPEG by random (see screenshot). When I then choose "develop" in Affinity, I get no hint as to wether the file the program is working with is actually a RAW or a JPEG, as it behaves the same as when I import a JPEG file only (see screenshot). Simple question: How do I import RAW files from Apple Photos in to Affinity, and how do I make sure I am actually working with the RAW file rather than the JPEG? Thanks in advance!
