  1. Does anyone have advice on how to improve the quality of the copy I have made? The original is the smaller, cool and clear toned print and mine is the larger, muddy, not very nice copy. My dad took the lovely original of my grandparents and I want to make a copy he can see more clearly. I've got myself thoroughly confused by colour profiles anyway, never mind how greyscale fits into this. I understand that I need to convert to a greyscale format as it seems to scan through as a colour format. After doing this and exporting it shows as Grey/8 Greyscale D50 but the print is not very nice at all, as shown in my attachment. I have looked through existing topics but have only become more confused 😒
  2. Hello everybody! Recently I found an old album of my great-grandmother from the beginning of the last century, but the photos there faded and cracked. I want to scan them and fix them. Please tell me the software for these purposes.
  3. Would love to make contact with anyone or all that are using Affinity for the restoration of old and vintage photos. Am interested in the techniques you are using, work flow, etc. I am currently using Photoshop CC 2018 and would like to move away from. Have been a Serif user for many years and have always had excellent success with their software. Just trying to short-circuit the learning curve to get started with Affinity. Many thanks to those that respond and be assured I will return the courtesy. Jerry Snow - Pop's Custom Products
  4. AP is a great software for photo editing so I think it would be interesting to add automatic old photos restoration capabilities, at least the removal of dust and scratches (with adjustable levels, more or less invasive). Could be in "develop persona" as well in "details" where now there are add or reduce noise and details refinement. I don't found it in feature roadmap, maybe in "artistic filters"? ^_^ My most desired features: - sticky settings - saving with live preview - batch processing / macro persona
