  1. this is a rare issue but when it happens I have to reopen the program. I am not sure how this is happening this time but my guesses are; when switching to another window and coming back when going to any other panel inside affinity i.e. adjusting perspective tool when doing all above by panning with your pen. ( my pen's middle button is binded to middle click) quick specs: using windows 10, wacom one tablet, affinity photo 2.2.0.2005(beta)
  2. In Affinity I have always (with great delight) taken advantage of setting things up as follows so that I can quickly navigate. 1) Scroll in a doc with the mouse wheel with no modifier 2) Zoom with the mouse wheel plus the OPTION modifier 3) Pan with the mouse wheel plus the SHIFT modifier With the recent Affinity update my options are gone and my various combos above only zoom. I have used this quick way to navigate so long that it is now sorely missed. The last thing I want to do is to go the Navigator. Using the space bar to access the hand tool and then navigating by this tool is far less efficient for me than the mouse wheel Has there been a change with the recent update? If so, I am making a plea to return to what was. I am now working in Big Sur OS. Perhaps this has made the difference? Thanks PS: The two PNGs below from an earlier forum question are irrelevant to the above, but I cannot delete them.
  3. When I work on multiple PC programs at the same time, Designer stops functioning properly. For it to work again I have to close the document and reopen it. If I have multiple documents open it affects them all and for these functions to work again I have to close all documents and reopen. It is not necessary to restart Designer though. The following functions are missing when this problem occours: Panning, via the spacebar shortcut, the middle mouse button, or even the view tool (hand) Scrubby Zoom All other ways of zooming and panning are working. Thanks in advance Windows 10 Version 1909 Build 18363.77 Designer 8.1
  4. I like to set the top button on my stylus to pan for my Wacom. It will actually go up and down fine but it wont pan left or right. Any ideas about this? Also I'm using a Intos4 if you needed to know.
  5. Prior to 1.6, it was possible (at least on the Mac) to start dragging an element with the trackpad and then pan around the workspace. The AFDesigner 1.6 release notes included "Improved pan/zoom performance". Could that be the culprit? Please consider reinstating the ability to drag and pan. Thank you!
  6. I kind of like the flick panning in Photoshop. Any plans for this in AD or AP? It's nice and smooth.
  7. I frequently open these palettes to edit the stroke profile while working, and the palettes end up covering what I'm working on. Using spacebar to pan the canvas to a new position — without dismissing the palettes — would be super helpful. Side note bug report: with both of these palettes open (the stroke editor and the stroke profile editor), if you command-tab to another application, those palettes do not close, but remain visible on top of the new application.
  8. Is there a way to turn off panning with the magic mouse? Makes it a tad difficult when trying to make precise edits and can hold down the space bar when I need quick access to the hand tool. Thanks.
