Hi all, Since Affinity Photo doesn't show tooltips with dimensions on the Marquee Tool (feature request), we have to depend on the Info panel for dimensions. However, when selecting with Marquee Tool, once the mouse key is released, the width of the current selection disappears! It becomes impossible to know the dimensions of the selection! This is very annoying and I wish developers kept the width and height of the selection shown in the Info panel persistently.

I've noticed this in previous betas too. When I first load Affinity and click on the Paragraph Tab (docked with the Character Panel), the whole panel is stretched very long. The only way to shorten it is to contract then expand the 3 sections (Spacing, Tab Stops, Justification). Please see screenshot for a 'before' shot.

I dont know if this was discussed before, i haven't found it... I want to talk about some kind of really simple panel for taking notes about your design project. Personally i work as a UI and Web designer, and i get most of the tasks to do in my email or within Red Mine service. So it feels distracting to switch from AD to email to read the task again and back to AD. It would be much better to keep majority of the info related to the project you are working on right in your design. I often copy and paste my task into AD as a layer, but this is not totally cool - it brings some disorder into layers and your design, and eats some time too so i thought some kind of panel for different notes would be really cool addition to AD's functionality. - So the one purpose of it is to keep your task copy there. - Also, if you want to remember something or to write down some stuff about your current project - you can do this simply and easily read the notes about the project right in the project file! Its especially handy if you have to leave the project for some time and then come back to it - you will not forget anything! - Sharing files becomes easier - you may leave some notes to the person who will work with your file later. - If you have to work a lot with text - you just paste all the text you need into this panel and store it there. When you design specific paragraph - you just copy needed text from the notes panel and place it in the design you are doing. Some super creative people will be using this panel to make old school ASCII art :-) As to functionality, it should be simple, work with plain text and have the ability to import or export plain text files, this should be enough. But any additional functionality is always welcome )

I recently purchased AD and am unable to precisely size an object. the Transform Panel under layers only shows Flip or Rotate. Where can I go to do this? I'm using IOs Mountain Lion.

Hi everyone! Help! I was wondering if someone could do a template for me for a jewel case panel? Ive attached a picture similar to what I am talking about. I found this online so I copied it just to show you guys what I mean. I also attached the CD Label that someone else had posted in affinity forum back in 2014. That worked perfectly for me because it allowed me to edit it. So I would like something similar done to the back panel template so I can edit it in the future. Thank you! Make a character panel that can be snapped to the side-bars (much like layers, effects, styles etc) This makes global & multiple character & paragraph style changes easier to implement.

Hi, I just upgraded to the latest version of AD, a lot of great new features - Thnx! Unfortunately, no longer work for me selection fonts (from Character windows/Panel) by pressing the up/down Arrow keys on the keyboard..? as it was before the upgrade. Now I have to click by the mouse each font to view them - with three hundred, it takes endlessly... :/ This is a bug, or I can fix it somehow from the program? Cheers! Marcin

I hope there will be a time that you will implement an easy access to the character and paragraph panels (always visible on side panels like the color swatch). This way it will be easier to work on type properties when working on web and mobile design projects.
