  1. Here is another painting in acrylics produced using DAP Pro 7 and interfacing with Affinity Photo. I have included a video of the painting process along with the resulting multilayered Affinity Photo file so you can see how the painting comes to life with human-assisted AI. Play with the Affinity Photo file to your heart's content to see the layering involved and each painting stage. This is a very productive tool. 2. Hello! This was my first attempt at a completely digital 'painting', which I ended up using stop-motion animation to turn into a short video. The artwork was created in Affinity Photo using the NB Master Watercolor brush set. Fox is actually the name of our pet Cockeral and Isla is my daughter. It was originally part of a larger piece which included a full portrait of Isla, but in the end, I decided to spin it out into a standalone piece. The portrait is ongoing. A higher-resolution version of the work can be viewed on my website at www.msibley.com. Thanks for looking 😊 Foxy 720p.mp4
  3. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/VJYr95 Had some fun painting one of my favourite Spider-Man villains, Venom. Had a blast working with more painterly brushes for the skin.
  4. Painted this zebra finch bird on a branch based on a photo I saw using Affinity Photo.
  5. Recent paintings I've done. All with my personal brush set, link in signature.
  6. Painting with watercolor can be very difficult because I was fighting the urge to make it clean and trim. Mimicking the water spread and blots make it even more interesting.

  8. Hello there! I've been using Photo exclusively for painting. Here's a sample of my work. Give me a follow on IG if you feel like it. https://www.instagram.com/adriano_do_couto_art
  9. Good morning everyone! I'm new to the forum, my name is Judith Vidal and I'm a concept artist. I've been using affinity photo for a few months for everything that is concept and illustration and this is one of the results of the experience, I hope you like it. You can see more work on my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jvidaldraw/ Thanks J Vidal.

  11. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/WKdLQv Was practicing different mediums by mixing 3D sculpting and Greasepencil in Blender and then finally finishing it with a 2D paintover inside Affinity Photo. Was a lot fun! Here is the original Blender version before the paintover for those who are curious.
  12. At first the tool cycle option was frustrating until I found out how to turn it off with a setting. Overall Photo runs far lighter than PS, the brushes are nice when they work and image resolution is always nice and sharp on export. The cons are that I can't simply import my PS brush collection and sometimes lines have weird jaggies/anti alias artifacts.
  13. Hello! My name is Mikołaj but you can call me Mik. I've been using affinity software since first release in 2014 for graphic design(any kind of user interface design and visual identity assets). Lately some idea popped in my head – I am using the same tools in the same way all the time, so to prevent some kind of stagnation I want to challenge myself to create different kind of artwork that I usually do. Goal: Creating artwork from scratch in a poster format using every tool that is available in the software. I invite you to enjoy this journey with me. 001
  14. Liz Taylor portrait (2014) with water-diluted acrylic paints and polychromos by Faber Castell, on paper. Even when I was (still) very young and knew nothing about women, she was the most beautiful woman in the world for me. Nothing has changed much. The films with her have accompanied my life and so she remains in my memory. https://www.bodobe.de/zeichnen-liz-taylor/
  15. I've been using Procreate on the ipad and Clip Studio Paint on the PC for painting, this is my first attempt at painting with Affinity Photo. Brushes are mostly of my own design. Reference from unsplash.com. Sketch by Adriano do Couto on Instagram
  16. Hello everyone I just recently started using Affinity Photo for art and discovered the paint mixer brush. This is my first try with that tool and I honestly think it turned out pretty cool There's also a speedpaint video here:
  17. “Bernadette” is a semi-realistic drawing that I created with Affinity Designer. AD is a (truly) excellent tool for vector graphics, but it also offers the best conditions for creating drawings and digital painting in the pixel range. more about this work: https://www.bodobe.de/zeichnung-mit-affinity-designer/ Best regards, stay healthy 😌
  18. Just something fun I decided to make while Beta testing Affinity Photo 1.8. Tried creating thinner lineart than what I am used to, which I think came out all right for a first try of experimenting with the new features. Here's a link to my Artstation where I uploaded it as well. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/RYG24v
  19. Another dude, a new drawing https://www.bodobe.de/another-dude/
  20. Hey folks, I have painted an item card for a trading card game we are developing in class - entirely in Affinity Photo! Constructive criticism is always highly appreciated!
  21. this is my third painting... I want to know what changes I must have to draw well
  22. Hi all, here's something very different from my usual and a bit of a personal challenge on a recent illustration project. Denman Digital in Vancouver hired me to create a series of images for a project they were doing for their client the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) here in Canada. The Hunting in Canada Field Guide lays out the traditional methods, tools and prey Indigenous people used and continue to use to survive and thrive in Canada's northern frontiers. This project is a web companion piece to their Moosemeat and Marmalade adventure cooking show on APTN. https://aptn.ca/moosemeatandmarmalade/ Almost every aspect of these illustrations utilized the pixel persona in Designer. I could've use Photo exclusively for this but I am much more comfortable and familiar with Designer and the process is basically the same. I created a bunch of new custom brushes as well as used many of Designers default and user-contributed brushes for this. I was rather pleased with the final outcomes and have since started adding more of this pixel painting workflow to my usual work. Rather than upload a bunch of images here I'll point you to a few links on my Behance site below and leave just a few images here. The project was broken down into 3 areas: Prey, Hunting Tools and Hunting Strategies. https://www.behance.net/gallery/77640277/Hunting-in-Canada-Field-Guide-for-APTN-Prey https://www.behance.net/gallery/77647417/Hunting-in-Canada-Field-Guide-for-APTN-Tools https://www.behance.net/gallery/77647933/Hunting-in-Canada-Field-Guide-for-APTN-Strategies Much thanks to Denman Digital and APTN. :-)
  23. Here is my first foray into Affinity Designer. I must say I was impressed with the capabilities of the raster side of the program.
