  1. The opactity changes when I click hold the Paintbucket tool in Affinity Photo 2.2.1, Windows 10.0.19045. If this is intentional, the changes are erratic, because the preview shows a change in fill opacity. Video 2023-10-27 13-37-12.mp4 Steps to reproduce 1. Create a new document 2. Add a pixel layer and make it white 3. Make a selection with a selection tool 4. Activate the Paintbucket tool, select another fill colour, click hold and drag the mouse sideways. 5. Notice the fill tolerance changing erratically and/ or the opacity in the Paintbucket tool changing.
  2. Hello - new to affinity designer on the Ipad. I have my sketch drawn out using vector paint brush, and i would like to color in my portrait without having to paint each stroke. Is there a fast way to fill in the lines i drew with the color of my choosing? Fill Tool does not seem to be doing the job. I seem to be able to use flood fill for shapes made with a single stroke, but i cant seem to fill closed objects that I make with multiple strokes. For example when drawing a person, I would love to be able to fill their shirt, pants, beard, ect with my desired color. Thanks!
  3. There is this tool in illustrator that is very helpful called live paint bucket tool. i use it oftenly to help me color my lineart. I know that i can just create shapes underneath the lineart but it takes a long time. IF this tool existed i will gladly transition fully to Affinity Designer
  4. Coming from a Photoshop user of about 20 years and at the risk of sounding dumb I have to ask ... Is there a paint bucket somewhere and I am missing it or do I have to use the fill tool? I WILL NOT pay a monthly fee to use Photoshop and have just been lost trying to learn a new program when I'm SO at home using Photoshop. :( I'm hoping to LOVE all Affinity programs if I can just get the hang of something new! Thanks for any help! :D
  5. Do this: 1. Launch AP. 2. New document. 3. Choose the Paint Brush and a color. 4. >> Note it says: "The assistant has added a new raster layer" 5. Close without saving. 6. New document. 7. Choose the Flood Fill tool (paint bucket) and a color. 8. Click on the page. 9. >> NOTHING HAPPENS. It does not make logical sense to me why the Assistant would assist me in auto creating a pixel layer for the Paint Brush tool but refuse to create a pixel layer when I click the Flood Fill tool on the canvas. Can someone explain the logic to me? If there is no sound logic behind it, I am inclined to submit a new feature request. (Keep in mind I am comparing my experience to Photoshop, where I don't need an assistant to create a paintable layer because a paintable layer appears automatically in Photoshop.) Thanks.
  6. I do most of my drawing in Adobe Ideas on my iPad, which creates compound vector shapes, which I then use the Live Paint feature in Illustrator to fill in. It makes colouring extremely quick and easy. Is there already, or is there a planned equivalent for Affinity? It's basically the only thing stopping me from making the switch from Illustrator to this, as it's a really nice app otherwise. Many thanks!
