  1. I am working on pattern design and want to know if there is an offset filter in Affinity Designer. I know you can offset in Photo but I need to be working with vector images, not raster images. If theres no offset filter, is there another way to offset images? If not, is this something that could possibly be in a future update for Designer? The program is great and would love for it to replace Illustrator!
  2. I'm still using the trial version of Designer and it's going OK. For me one purpose for Designer is to create patterns for use in woodworking. In some cases the pattern needs to be smaller or larger than the final product by a set amount; I call this the offset. (This situation occurs when using a router with a bushing guide.) if I make pattern of a flower, for example there could be several petals around a circle. The edge is the final set shape. I'd like to be able to make patterns with different offsets from that final size, e.g. less by 5 mm. I need a unit like mm or inches. I could not find anything like an offset path tool. Some forum topics suggest using a stroke. I'm not sure how to make an inside stroke by a certain amount of millimeters. I'm also having some problems with printing large patterns across multiple pages; there are gaps even when using borderless settings for page size. Any thoughts on how to do this or just knowing that it can't really be done would be welcome. Thanks
  3. I would love if it was possible to offset the start point of the grid. In both directions, either negative or positive (top or down).
  4. 3d offset 3D transform (or offset it, then provide an option to vectorize) layers for a layered 3D effect (see attached) Opens up menu with the following options: Perspective/Isometric (radio buttons) Viewing angle (slider and box) Tilt angle (one slider and box per layer, in pop-out) Identical offset distance/Varied offset distance (radio buttons) Offset distance from below layer (one slider and box per layer, in pop-out) Distance blur (checkbox) Focal point (slider and box, with a center on layer option: pick a layer, and its center is the focal point) Blur distance (slider and box) Blur layers around selected layer (slider and box, pick a layer, automatically defaults to the layer picked in 'Focal Point' and vice versa it defaults to this)
