Hi! I tried to create a numbered list in Publisher and wanted the numbers to be aligned to the right, while the following text is still aligned to the left, because it would look more aesthetic. But it seems not to work. I think the option "Tab Stopp right alignment" (screenshot) should do this, but it doesn't have any effect. By the way, "align right" was predefined. But none of the three options shows any effect. There are already two threads about this issue, as far as I can see: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/92543-does-anyone-have-a-good-way-to-do-‘fly-out-numbering’-in-publisher/&tab=comments#comment-492183 and https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/139881-align-numbers-in-numbered-lists/ My version of Publisher is 1.9.2.1035 on Windows 10.

Hello guys, I am an university student having my final year. During this final year students have to write their work. After writing my bachelor work using Microsoft Word I have decided to purchase Affinity Publisher. And now I am lost right on the begining. A need to create TOC (table of content) like that one on the attached file - please forgive my czech language, just needed this picture for ilustration. The main issue is that I am not able to create TOC sorted by number and "subnumber". 1 Main topic 2 Research 2.1 History 2.1.1 Europe 2.1.2 Asia 2.1.1. China 2.1.2. Thailand etc........ Would you please give me some advice how to make those number, I found that very uncluttered and good looking, especially with this type of large volume works. Please, need help desperately! Thank you very much. Viktor!

AP Color sliders can be changed to see the reference RGB Hex #. My question: Is there a way in Swatches Panel to type the known Hex values to add the color to the Swatches Palette? This is a very simple process in Procreate Swatches to add colors to the Swatches Palette. Type Hex number, click color and it's added, maximum 30 per Swatches Palette.

It's been a while since i haven't posted here. (Doesn't mean i haven't read some threads from time to time). I've dived into Publisher ocean, and i'm trying to push it's limits. And i've come to an end concerning TOC. I'm trying to create a "design" TOC. With a multitude of styles and graphics (see image from my "design") : And now i'm looking forward to achieve what i have'nt found myself (so here i am). See where i've managed to get to, by tweaking TOC styles : I'm still looking for a way to add "0" before my numbers (as in my design screenshot); As well as points after (as in my design screenshot). *Found* (not optimal though as 3 digits numbers won't work and 1 digits need 0 before so the space between full stop ans numbers is always the same ); I'm also looking for a way to add my stroke between the page number and the name of the heading. (This one not sure i'll find a way other than adding the by manually) *Found* thx to @GarryP NOTA : I could keep my "design" TOC, but i'm not that kind of man! I need to understand how far i can go (for further projects ^^). So does any "vieux de la vieille" as we say in my country (could be translated as old folks knowing their job), who has informations i didn't find by myself. Thx in advance gentlemans ! Cheers

Hey guys, I really need your help. I don't know if I can tag the support staff from Publisher, or most experienced users. I would like to know if there's a way to make sequencing numbers automatically. I need to make a weekly planner, and put the days numbers in specific places on the facing spread. So it's the same spread, repeated 4 or 5 times (depending on the month), and the numbers go from 1-31 and then restart next on 1 for next month. I made a sketch (attached). So the litle circles are the fixed places on the spread that the numbers should go in to. The week starts on mondays and as an example I put this particular month starting on tuesday, so monday is 31 then the next number is 1. An so goes on. And that's it, I just really need to do this the fastest way possible. I already notice that I can copy-paste excel cells into a publisher table. But then I would have to copy paste on every spread, so it's easier to just type myself. Unless there's a way to make like a table that covers multiple spreads, and I don't think that's possible. Please, any suggestion is valid. I don't know all the possibilities of publisher, so I'm really hoping for your help. Also, if anyone has some sort of model or template that think I can adapt to my purpose, it would be more than welcome! Thanks guys <3

Hi, when entering any measurements using the numeric keypad, the "comma" key in the numbers block is not accepted as decimal separator for the numbers I enter -- it would be a great timesaver, if I didn't have to hover my hand over to type a "period" from the normal keyboard. Given that I am used to using the numeric keypad, this tiny change could save me HOURS every week (I usually type it in on the numeric keyboard, the decimal point doesn't get recognised, the shapes size is wrong and I have to start over again, using the period key ...).

We Windows users normally have to jump over hoops to produce symbols in our text, using the Alt key and the numbers keypad. However, this does not work in the AF beta. Holding down Alt and then typing 0169 should produce the copyright symbol -- © -- but both the Artistic Text tool and Frame Text tool produce a generic hollow rectangle shape instead.

I needed some bar graphs. I can easily do them in Apple Keynote or Numbers. But if I copy and paste from those apps, I get a raster image. I have to export them to PDF and open the PDF. Oddly enough, Microsoft Excel pasting works better. I wouldn't bother with creating charts in Designer if the copy and past from iWork apps worked well.

Would be really nice to be able to copy/past Apple Numbers spreadsheet tables into Affinity Designer. Right now it is pretty rubbish, and If I want to get a table pasted into Affinity Designer I need to Copy from Apple Numbers, Paste into Adobe Photoshop, export as PSD, import PSD into Affinity designer. I say Apple Numbers because the table design tools are the best there is, fast easy and very good quality. This would negate Affinity Designer having to get too involved in creating its own table designer, In Design tables are trash also, but I can copy/paste from Apple Numbers. Thanks,

I'm trying to use AD together with FontForge to create a font. Didn't find any free ones that suited the app I'm creating so might as well create one myself - added benefit of infinite font weights with font interpolation. Inspired by FF DIN and the like. I've only created the numbers in weights 400, 350...100 so far. All the numbers have equal widths since I'm using it for a timing interface so I haven't done any kerning. Suggestions etc. are more than welcome. Black weight sketch
