I'm brand new to all of this, I just started my graphic design major this semester. I know I want to get affinity, but is there a drawing tablet that works really well with it? Or in general? Or does a drawing tablet not work with the program (which I doubt, but I need to be informed)? Also, any tips, hints, fiy's, anything will be much appreciated. Teach me everything you know. I am a clean slate ready to soak in everything I need to know.

Dear all, I am a complete novice and would like to learn how to draw interior architecture plans with this Mac app. My aim is to make a 3D (interactive?) designs of a new interior I would like to create for a building. If I copy a selection to clipboard I often open a new document with the dimensions of this selection and paste the selection to the new document. I think you should add the following options in New Document > Dimensions: Copy clipboard dimensions [x] Paste clipboard into new document

Hi, I would like some options to split the current layer in it’s components whether those are groups or individual objects. Thanks, Vlad

A feature of Photoshop, I use a lot is to create new files from clipboard content. As I want to leave PS behind with Affinity Photo, it would be cool to have this functionality.

Hi all, I just been looking in the Adobe forum and this is what I found: https://forums.adobe.com/message/6813810#6813810 and the other posts... I snapped up Affinity Designer the other day after watching their promotional video. So far, it well lives up to its promises and is as well-behaved as any software out there, legacy or not. Serif is a company to watch. I'm sure their photo editing and page layout software will be equally good as Affinity Designer. A new paradigm is upon us all... I was also a big fan of FreeHand but I always hated Illustrator. Recently I have spent a lot of time on iDraw and really enjoy it. One advantage it has over Illustrator is that you can exchange files between iPad and Mac. Affinity Designer also looks interesting and I hope to give that a try as well. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Affinity Designer is very interesting and is an easy replacement for Illustrator to me.
