  1. I opened 12 documents, numbered xxx_1 - xxx_12. They opened in a slightly arbitrary order (not 1-12) so I re-ordered the tabs. If I open any additional files after reordering, all the tabs revert to the original order they were in when they were first all opened as a group.
  2. Is it not possible to respect the naming of a style when copying between two documents? I currently am making an e-book format from a larger format document. It is a process of duplicating the original to a smaller format. It has to be done page by page. When copying a single text frame with text, the target document already has and uses the same Style (name). However, the process of copying creates a new, sequentially numbered version of the same Style. This seems to be more with the created Styles than with the built-in default Styles. An example is a "Box" style that has been created with blue text and a grey background: "Box Blue". The source document has a single "Box Blue" and the target document has a single, identical, "Box Blue." When I copy then paste another frame with that Style, a new Style is created: "Box Blue 1." This happens repeatedly and, as one example, I have 75 sequentially numbered new Styles all with the same settings and same name except for the sequential numbering. This plays havoc with the built-in concept of using a single Style to control many objects using that Style.
  3. messed a bit with the "add pages from file" and File->Place and choosing publisher document. Well its half-working for me. use-case: have many manuals, with same parts. i need to update part, then re-export all the manuals without re-touching each one. now i have two possibilities - add pages, where i loose connection, or place the document, multiple times. That could work, if there is possibility to: - place single pages even when in spread layout (double pages are nonsense, as i dont know if first page will be left or right when placing the document) - if it would be possible to place with bleeds And what would also help is possibility to add multiple pages at once.. Its very annoying to place lets say 40 pages killer feature would be insert into document "as is" just as another section with automatic removing/adding pages on change
  4. It would appear (from my limited experiments) that macros do not allow moving between documents when recording. I can start recording, copy from one document to paste into another but as soon as i move to the second document the recording appears to stop until i return to the original document at which time it continues. Can someone tell me if this is the case or is there something I am missing? As I'm using the trial version with a view to replacing other tools this appears to be a severe limitation.
  5. Hallo everyone, from the employees in my company there have com two feature requests for features that are very handy in Photoshop. Maybe you know a workaround for them in AP. Well in Photoshop you can multiple immages to your Program and with one click you can arrange the next to each other in the Workspace to compare them very fast. This is very handy and i didnt find any comparable funktion in AP. The secound feature that my colleques are missing is the abillity to drag and drop one layer from one opened document directly to another document.. I know you can copy it , switch to the other document and than past it.. but this is much slower but to do it just by drag and drop.. any workarounds or future implications to implement it maybe ? greetings from Hamburg, Tom
