Gracias.
  2. Hi, I currently work on a few project where I have to rotate the canvas a lot. It works fine with the 15° rotation in APh, using a custom keyboard shortcut. I use a wheel-mouse for my work and I'm someone who try to keep the right hand on the mouse for efficient workflow as long as possible. So my question now, is it possible to add a custom shortcut like Alt + Mouse Wheel for rotation? Or should I move this to the Feature Request section ? Thanks!
  3. Hi.. I would like to AP have feature to select overlapped layer like photoshop. but, not same with PS. here are my idea. 1. select with command + right cursor click calls layer name. just select wanted layer to select. this is traditional usage like PS / pic-1 2. each layer field have option. when check right arrow, these layers being temporary selected group. this selected layers can be isolated with "hide unselected layers" which need to add to Layer's sub menu /pic-2 how about this?
  4. Hi Affinity team, I would like to request the ability to toggle the direction of the mouse zoom. Currently, the system for AD/AF is inverted compared to the rest of Mac OS. That is, I hold Alt + drag-finger-toward-me on the magic mouse to zoom in, and the reverse for zooming out. I would like the option (perhaps a checkbox in settings) to be able to match the Mac OS system; thus, when toggled on, I would hold Alt + push-finger-away-from-me on the magic mouse to zoom in, and the reverse to zoom out. This would match things like the system zoom and other applications (such as Sketch). Keep up the great work. Cheers!
  5. when working with an image editing software I very often use tools with an adjustable tool size (brushes, pencils, eraser, clonig tool, ....). And I very often adjust their tool size while working with it. In affinity photo it is mostly very akward to adjust these tool sizes: You have to click on the pixel size field, you have to blindly adjust the size by ruler (you do not see the resulting actual tool size) and you have to click again to confirm this resizing. Only now you see the resulting new tool size. If it is not correct, you have to redo all over again. It would be much nicer if we could do all resizing for any tool by just right clicking the mouse button together with the ALt-key and dragging the mouse according the new size, which is cocurrently being shown while dragging.
  6. So I have a gamer mouse that has 2 side buttons (buttons 4 and 5) and i am wanting to bind one of those buttons to the Toggle Fix Context (default X) but when I try to click those buttons while in the shortcut menu, it doesn't record the mouse click. What would i need to do to get this to toggle with the side mouse buttons?
  7. Winter Snow Scene. Made in Affinity Photo. 7 image composite.
  8. When zoomed in on a photo and I click and drag the image the image moves with the mouse. That is, if I drag the mouse the the left the image moves to the left. Let's say there is an object in an image and I want that object to be in the center of my screen then I simply click on the object in the image and drag the object to the center of the screen. This is good. This is the expected behaviour. However, when editing in an Equirectangular Projection (Live Projection) when I drag the mouse to the left the image goes to the right. If I drag up the object goes down. So if there is a object I want to center on my screen if I drag the object to the center the object actually goes the opposite direction. So some people might like this opposite direction behaviour and that's their choice. I would like it that I can select which direction the image moves when I click and drag the image when editing an Equirectangular Projection. Basically I want the click and drag to work just like normal. Click and drag an object upwards moves object upwards. This could be a selection under preferences > User Interface > Equirectangular Projection Reverse Mouse Direction OR use a modifier key such as alt or option. Thanks millions if you can make this happen. AffinityPhotoEquirectangular.mp4
  9. Please add: - Copy FX - Paste FX - Merge selected layers
  10. I'm a brand new potential user who's currently trialling Affinity Photo. I like a lot of what I see, but have two key features I am looking for. I've done some online research, but cannot find clear answers. Is there any way to have a layer mask displayed as an overlay (e.g. semi-transparent red). I know I can use the quick mask feature, but would love to be able to just paint directly onto a blank layer mask and then check for missed patches using a red overlay. Can this be done? I have seen some references to brush size and hardness being adjustable using CTRL+ALT and then dragging the mouse, but I can't replicate this with either left click (goes to colour picker) or right click (does nothing). I know I can adjust the brush size with [ and ], but really like the size and hardness adjustment to be in the same motion. Is this possible? I'm really hoping to move from Photoshop to Affinity Photo, but would need to find a good workaround for the above to not have it significantly affect my efficiency.
  11. If you hit the pulldown switch of the rubber size, you need to be quit left of the downarrow-sign. If you are more than the middle on the right, the pulldown size select closes immediately. If you reach the borders at the right and at the bottom of a picture by using the rubber, the rubbercircle disappears behind the border of the picture and become an arrow, but if you try to touch the scrollarea, the rubbercircle appears again. Best Regards
  12. Hey Affinity team, First and foremost, congrats on the great gig at the WWDC17!! Now, I have searched for this feature... ok only for like 20 min. however I couldn't find anything that would indicate that this already exists or is planed to be introduced. If it does, a hint would be great and I'll go back to my box ;-). I can also imagine that it will be all the way on the bottom of your list but here it goes, my first request or better wish :-). I would really like to be able to zoom to where the mouse is. This is available through ought the entire macOS workflow that you can, at least with the Magic Mouse, just double tap on an item and you zoom mouse centred. This is a fantastic feature when you zoom out to be going over your work and find something here and there you would like to adjust. So: Working close on a detail -> double tap -> zoomed out to some previous % -> go with the mouse on an item you identified to be edited further -> double tap -> zoomed in again. I understand that the zoom level might be to high or low but at least you are within the vicinity of where you want to go as of currently you just zoom in to the last selected spot or some random place of the canvas. This is at least my experience. Again if this exists in some way I am happy to learn :-). Cheers, JMS
  13. Hello, I'm a freelance concept artist, matte-painter and illustrator and have been living with an orphaned copy of Photoshop CS5 that I purchased many years ago. As my business depends heavily upon this software and I do not, under any circumstances wish to migrate to Adobe's Creative Cloud subscription service (a preference to purchase and own outright, the fact that a subscription model is costlier over time and Adobe's monopolistic price gouging practices) I've been seeking an alternative. Affinity Photo may just be that replacement which I can run concurrently with CS5 and over time, replace it altogether. Also, the market is in desperate need of comparable and competitive alternatives to Adobe's suite. I'm very impressed with what I've experienced thus far after downloading the trial and with a new computer system (Win 10 Pro) arriving next week I intend to purchase it and most likely Designer. There are a few things that I would like to see that would help with workflow tremendously. Bear with me as I'm still coming to grips with Affinity Photo. I would like to see it possible for the palettes to be collapsible into docked icons as is possible with Photoshop. I would like to see the right mouse button have contextual functionality depending on the tool selected - for example, the possibility to 'Deselect' or Invert Selection' et al when you right click on a selection. it feels constraining and retards workflow not be have a contextual right mouse button option I would like to see it possible to make the horizontal toolbar more customisable - adding a drop-down brush editing palette for example. That's about it for now. However, i will be purchasing and joining the Affinity family. Thanks for creating such a quality product that is getting very close to rivalling Photoshop, and for offering it at such as competitive price. .Grant
  14. Some editors has a nice feature that uses mouse cursor detection. It allows user to move mouse above the image while adjusting the effect (like curves, HSL etc) and mouse On or Off will flip between "Before" and "After". Having a this feature, it would be nice to be able to have a mouse cursor above the adjustment dialog (like HSL) for adjusting and the preview would be shown like now. But when you would move mouse away from dialog to top of the image then it would turn to "before". So you could quickly move mouse above dialog and image to see it switching between to help evaluate the adjustment change.
  15. Hi folks. I can use the pen tool now, after the bezier game! I thought I'd put my copy of AD to proper use, illustrating that is, not just page layout mode. All this despite 'losing' a borrowed drive for a Tevion tablet. Never mind being unable to find my Epson scanner power supply...any way this is for you the AD community, the AD Team at Serif labs (And the Drawplus team for getting me hooked on DrawPlus in the 1st place). A big thank you goes out to you CartoonMike and that awe inspiring tutorial earlier: for pushing me over the edge and well into the abyss of time, know as creativity mode. It's so good seeing images in my head finally landing on paper/screen. I can now concentrate now :P peter Ps A brief intro of the picture. Family Guy did 3 Star Wars films as you know and they are better than the original. So why not do Airwolf in the same vein? The main villain Dr Charles Henry Moffet was the creator and thief of Airwolf. He was a tortured evil genius who had an upper class English accent...sound familiar anybody. I would love this to go viral (Dream on. Ed) and maybe to Seth McFarlane et al  The cast would be Chris Griffin - Stringfellow Hawke Peter Griffin - Dominic Santini Stewie Griffin - Dr Charles Henry Moffet Carter Pewtersmidt - Archangel Joe - The Senator Joes's Wife - Marriella Glen Quagmire - Test pilot, Moffet's team there's more to follow :) Why "She's a lady", well in the program Dom , the hopeless romantic dotes on that machine...and the song by Tom Jones makes it funny too. Edit: see below MEB's post, for finished image. grab.tiff Stewie pilot.afdesign
  16. Hi Affinity Team, GREAT work on both Designer and Photo!! I use both programs at my 9 - 5 and now purchased for my new business venture too. Super productive, elegant software :) There is just one little gripe I have with both programs; I check 'use mouse wheel to zoom' as I find this much quicker to navigate the canvas. However, I spend a large chunk of my time in 3D CAD platforms where using the scroll wheel to 'pull' and 'push' objects nearer/farther feels much more intuitive. i.e. scrolling back 'pulls' the object closer, and vice-versa. This means everytime I switch between 3D and 2D platforms, my brain gets a jolt when I try to 'pull' the canvas closer and it gets pushed away. It's a small detail that tends to make my workflow feel much less seamless than it could be. ...long story short, can you pleeeeeeaaase add a 'reverse scroll wheel' feature?? I'd be forever grateful ^_^ ...and I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say there'd be a bunch of other users that would benefit from this too. Thanks! Hope to hear from you. Regan.
  17. Hello, I've been using Affinity Designer since the first beta and I'm thrilled. I work with both mouse and graphics tablet. What I noticed is that the mouse, when I use it, the respective tools synonymous with the cursor is displayed. If I use the graphics tablet, however, the cursor, no matter which tool I use, always remains the simple arrow. Now my question: Will Affinity Designer also be adapted to the use of graphics tablets? I apologize for my bad English. Greetings from Vienna Alexandra
  18. Please add the ability to zoom in and out with the mouse scroll wheel to Affinity Photo for Windows. In Photoshop, that ability is available as a user interface option and it saves me an incredible amount of time when doing dust spotting or other fine detail work. Thanks!
  19. An exercise in vector illustration using AP instead of AD. A spoof children's book cover illustration. In this case, I drew out the sketch on screen as well, using the brush tool. Usually I'd start with a pencil and paper.
  20. Hi, I'm new here and with AD and AP, I'm quite enjoying it. Now I'm working on a card deck design as you can see here: https://www.behance.net/wip/1735405 and I love the snapping features of AD. There are some issues I'm experiencing that need to be solved. I use an Apple Magic Mouse 2 and every time I click+command I get a duplicated layer, I don't need this behavior when I'm trying to just get to a grouped layer. Also the canvas pans and objects moves. Objects with same global colors are inconsistent as you can see the attached image. The red blue and yellow in this affinity design file should be the same as they have the same global color. Note that some times when I copy and paste an object to a new artboard the color changes. Any way to duplicate an artboard with it's guidelines? Is there a live mirror feature? very useful to design the King, Queen and Jack. I really need to be able to trust AD as I can't send this to print with this problems. Thanks in advance! Ale
  21. Hi - I'm very new to photo editing. I've downloaded Affinity today and am slowly working my way through tutorials. SILLY QUESTION ..... will I need a mouse to use this package or can I use my mouse/trackpad?? If I need a mouse to go with my MacBook Air - does it need to be an apple mouse?? TIA for your help. Newbie!
  22. I have been using macs for too long and am not accustomed to right and left clicks just a simple mouse action. This program uses right click, and I know that this is causing me and this app some problems. The program has crashed often and I believe that it is me and the mouse causing it. As well when I am in the crop tool trying to straighten my photo, when I release the mouse it jumps and 9 times out of 10 I end up with a very badly skewed horizontal. I know someone asked about this before so if there is a solution to changing right click to control click I would really like to know. I really don't like having the mouse setting to right click. Help
  23. I wish there is a better and more precise cursor in the next update. (At least a crosshair option available) As in the attached gif file. It's hard to see the center point of the cursor and also the size of the brush related to my stylus pressure (I'm using Wacom tablet).
  24. I would like to know if you can make a brush created with a graphics follow the pressure curves, like you can with a mouse? As I really like the appeal of the thin tip and thick middle. When I draw the lines with a brush, it obviously creates it's own pressure curve based on the true pressure, is there a way to disable this, so that it follows the saved pressure curve under the stroke settings?. Stroke pressure curve settings Desired line quality (drawn with mouse) A Line drawn with a tablet under the same settings
  25. I would LOVE to have a preference that would allow me to change the size of the brush using the scrolling of the mouse (rather than have it change the pan). Scrolling up and down would change the radius of the brush, and the same with an option key would change the hardness/softness of the brush. The brush radius is similar to what Aperture has, but Aperture doesn't have an option-scroll for changing the hardness. This is so much faster and smoother than using the keyboard it's ridiculous! After getting used to it in Aperture I hate using Photoshop - changing brush size interrupts the flow of painting.
