  1. Hi i got the apple motion app and im struggling to find out how to import vector files into the motion app vekpo isn't support affinity files and also svg/pdf files
  2. Animatior in Affinity Photo, and or Timeline?? I think that it would be super cool if Affinity Photo like Photoshop added frame by frame animation, this is a huge downside to using Affinity Photo for me, I don't think it should become a seperate product since, well, I already have Affinity Photo, I do not need a full fledged animator and they already have their hands busy. The idea would be you could makes frames and export them as .gifs and maybe .mp4's? that would be cool! all the features would pretty much be a copy of photoshop (maybe some cool feature aswell.), then cartoonists could animate, photo editors could do some sick things and designers could make sick banners and internet .gifs, If affinity added this, I would completely forget about photoshop and leave it in the dust, affinity is amazing and with animation it would be great! Thanks for reading this post! please consider this :D - Segovo
  3. hello, can you tell me how to get a partial motion blur effect on my pictures (like on the picture)? Does Affinity have something similar to the photoship „path blur“ tool? thanks alot greetings patrick
  4. • Сделайте приложение Affinity Motion (Affinity Effects), для Моушен дизайна, создайте конкуренцию Adobe в этом направлении, у вас получится сделать лучший продукт iPadOS, MacOS ——————————————- • Make the Affinity Motion (Affinity Effects) application for Motion design, create Adobe competition in this direction, you will be able to make the best product
  5. Hi - I can't find this listed as I'm describing it. I've drawn a diagram in Designer and want to drop it into Motion as a multi-layer file, so I can then add effects to each layer. If I go to Export Persona and select all the layers, then export as .psd file, I still end up with a flat file. What am I doing wrong? I know this can be done as I've done it before, but several months ago and i can't remember! :/ Cheers Neil
  6. Please, make it happen! A lot of us needs an animation alternative for Flash/Animate/After Effects, fully compatible with other Affinity programs. If not, maybe adding the animation inside affinity designer (a timeline) as Photoshop have to make animated GIF? Thank you, love you guys!
  7. Hi it is my second post here like I said in my first post about 3D import for texture like a Maya or Maya LT or 3DS Max project, I just found out about that software/tool. So here's my question is there any chance for Flinto and other interactive prototyping tools support or plug-in with Affinity Designer? It could be so awesome. I am currently looking for a new set of tools for my workflow, and I'll be so happy if I could reduce the amount of tools I am working with as an interactive and immersive designer. So if Affinity can be really good for UX/UI design, concept art and 3D texture and color...and prototyping support than I'll say goodbye to Adobe. Thank You Oh by the way guys I forgot in my first post to say GREAT JOB and keep going, even if I buy it or not I think you still did a good job and this is good to put more tools in the market so that designers and creators have more choice for their creativity. 8. Hi I didn't know where to put that request and I think there was some similar requests on the forum... But I wanted to be sure and make a little precision. Considering that there is a lot of people that want to use Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo as a professional tool, to me it is Affinity Designer, for Digital Drawing, Graphic Design, UX/UI... and certainly motion design & 2D animation. But considering that one of the most important tool is After Effects and that it is really hard to work with AD to AE, because it doesn't import SVG, you can't import EPS with transparency and gradient into AE, actually you can with PDF, but when you convert to layer to work with all your different layers everything disappear. What I am trying to say is AD and AE don't work really well together. So I was wondering, actually almost begging Serif/Affinity to develop some kind of a motion and animation... and why not parallax effects tool. Not one as complex as AE, we don't need everything. Like a light version of AE with only motion features, animation tools, maybe something like Spine (http://fr.esotericsoftware.com/), a light version as well; imagine an animation tool that got like 2-3 personas like motion; skeletal animation; parallax and that is able to export to tools like Unity, export PNGs animation, Sprite sheet; mp4 and mov. It could be amazing! Thanks for reading me even if it doesn't get done.
  9. Hello. I've done some searching on Affinity Photo trying to find a tutorial on Pan and Zoom for photos. I know it can be done with a bit of video as a resource, but I am looking for a still image to apply this technique when someone mouses over an image. Anyone know?
  10. I think it would be perfect if affinity photo/design would be intergrated in real time with FCPX & Motion without using the export menu. I'm really looking forward to real-time updates like Photoshop/Illustrator with Premiere Pro/AE I would like to have real-time update integration plugin is built in. I do not hesitate to purchase it if I sell it as a plug-in that needs to be installed separately. I want to integrate A/P & A/D with FCPX & Motion and update it in real time I look forward to working with you
  11. Can we have a video editor/composer by Affinity as we already have one by Serif(& It has closed it's development)...!? :^)
  12. I am not a developer, so I am seeking to understand some topics from the Affinity Designer team thinking that I am more likely to get a response from them than anyone at Apple. A few questions: Does Apple provide you, the developers, with the tools & documentation to be able to create .molo graphic files from your application? What is it that allows me to copy a vector element from Designer & paste it into a slide in Keynote, but prevents me from pasting onto the canvas in Motion? Is there any specific feedback that I, as a user of both Motion & Designer, can submit to Apple that would help the Affinity team get what they need to do more to support & integrate with Motion? Thanks for your time & explanations!
  13. Affinity Is The Best of All...But it would be good if we could edit & compose motion image like GIF...Can we get this in future update...!? :^) or I'm just pushing You guys in trouble...!!! :^(
  14. Hi I'm a car photographer and I just discovered Affinity Photo and love it I just have a specific edit I'm trying to achieve that I haven't found the exact tutorial for. I do a lot of rolling shots for cars and aside from the partial motion blur the camera does I need a way to intensify the motion blur when editing like in the picture. I found the motion blur layer and it didn't work exactly like the pictures, maybe I'm doing it wrong, but some instructions would be greatly appreciated! I want to note that I like the motion with the lines on the road not just blurred background and the car needs to remain in focus exactly like the pictures.
  15. I am wondering can I do a motion blur just like in PS choose the motion blur center, make the effect like the motion blur in z axis. Cause seems I can only adjust the motion blur in x and y axis. Please check the attached file to see what I mean.
  16. This is a brief product presentation I did for a customer. I created the characters and all assets with Affinity Designer or Photo and animated them in Apple Motion. https://vimeo.com/201406316
  17. Hello First Please excuse my english i'm french Here's problem : I want to use shapes i designed with affinity Designer in apple motion 5 but it's only possible to import .pdf files in motion and those are note reconized as "Path" in motion There was a java scrip for adobe illustrator but it doesn't work anymore I really prefer Affinity designer as Adobe Illustrator so Please Find a way to use our Affinity Curves as Curves in Apple Motion 5 Thank's for reading and the great job you did for an awesome Price Have a nice day
  18. Is there a way to show, increase or simulate motion in an image. I have taken a photo following the subject and it does show movement but I want to exaggerate the motion a bit more. I tried with the brushes but it looks a bit too fake.
  19. I need help locating a tutorial. I watched a tutorial years ago by someone that I think once worked for Film4. The tutorial demonstrated making a vector mask in Affinity Designer, importing it into Apple Motion for some masked animation (videos in the background of text), then did scoring in Final Cut Pro. I can't find the tutorial, but it was supposed to demonstrate something like the Google Play Your Heart Out advertisements: https://youtu.be/lQIFVT80fbo?list=PLGc5GJ9a7RPXDjs8u1S5Vur_43ef4bwEj It might not have been Film4, but I remember the tutorial used scenes from Monster,Inc. and I think Spiderman. It was simple, yet clean and professional. The scoring went to I think Hudson Mohawks, Chimes; which Apple used for its Stickers commercial. The reason I'm bringing it up here is because I'm pretty sure I clicked on a link in this forum (again, years ago) when I discovered it, and I'm hoping someone also remembers it and can help me out. Here's to hoping...
  20. Hi, I'm doing my 100UI project, and I use framer to make it interactive. But sometime it's too much complicated and surplus, I want some feature can make my single pic to become a gif or other file that can interact. If Affinity doesn't hv this feature plan, thanks for any suggestion to make interactive design tool.(I use framer, sketch, javascript) Thanks again!!!
  21. Hello Everyone, I am new to graphics on computers and am looking at getting your program to create graphic artwork for use in my video work in FCPX. I will mostly be building titles in Motion, and publishing them to FCPX. I have a couple of beginner questions, if I may ask them: 1) If I want to be able to animate individual layers in Motion, which format should I export the final project in: PSD, SVG,...? 2) Are there any tips or suggestion for doing this kind of project? Any suggestions and/or guidance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  22. Hi there , First of all, Congratulations for this excellent soft (Affinity Designer)!! it's very useful, very easy & beautifull UI. i'm teaching many different softwares for students and i'm seriously considering teaching new software ( although some agencies are not all yet ready ...) i'm working for years in the industry of graphic design and was always looking for something like that (A.Deisgner) but Now ... when i see all the potential of these softs, i am wondering if you're going to do something for video editing/animation like After effects ? this would logically be a good issue for you. i know it's going to be hard but i know for sure that you can truly go further than After effects. Once more congrat , but wht next now ? Jacques Louradour
  23. Original logo sent to me by my client. My clients agency did the original logo design in illustrator. Logo look was reworked by me in Affinity AD, but Staying close to what the original design was intended to communicate. 10 second outro animation created in Apple Motion I will post the actually 10 second outro animation when I finally approved. I just wanted those of you who may wonder if you can create assets in AD to be exported and animated in other products. This was a question I received in a post on youtube. UPDATE: Here is the final 10s animation
  24. Hi all, I just joined the forum and this is my first post. I'm trying out the trial version of Affinity Designer, as I don't want to hassle with learning Illustrator when my work isn't that "intense," but I need a vector program more functional than what I was using before (Belight Software's Art Text 2). I own a small videography company, and we were using Art Text to design our graphics before we pulled them into Apple Motion to build and animate our templates. Part of what drew me to Affinity Designer is the option to export .psd, which would allow me to export one file and have it broken into layers within Motion, instead of having to deactivate all but one layer or "element" at a time, and export individual .pngs, as is my current workflow. So I tried that with this graphic I've put together in the trial version, but it exported a blank file. I open it in Photoshop, and get the message that it "Could not complete your request because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered." Affinity (Serif? Not sure how to address the team) asked me via Twitter to post the file here for support, so that's what I'm doing now. (Please note that the background image isn't part of the graphic itself, just a placeholder copied from the internet to visualize things and check the design against a background similar to what will be used in practice.) I do notice with another design that I've done that when I export, I see a progress bar, and that .psd came out right. However, within Motion, it doesn't give me the option to split the .psd into separate layers, and in Photoshop, the layers are getting flattened more than I need them to. (Perhaps I need to review the documentation on the latter topic.) If anyone here has experience with Motion, are there certain export settings needed to make this work? Thanks in advance.
