  1. Hello, this is what happens: - I create a local Publisher-File. - I drag/drop a .jpg and a .pdf file into it and put them on "linked" - I open the .jpg file in Preview and draw something on it and save it - Changes appear immediately in the publisher file - I do the same with the .pdf - No changes appear in the publisher file Further notes: If I export the publisher file as PDFs both changes appear in the exported pdf, however the Finder preview of said pdf looks a bit odd. If I open the changed PDF in Publisher it also does not show the changes I made in preview. It also does not work If I make changes in Adobe Reader. If I open the PDF in Publisher and change something and export it as pdf and overwrite the old one, changes are there, but the old ones are gone System: Mac OS Monterey 12.7.3, Macbook Pro M1 2021, Publisher Version 2.4 Thoughts: I think it seems to be a problem with the way these changes are made in Preview and Adobe Reader. Even worse, if I add some Text in Preview, the file becomes completely unreadable for Publisher, giving me an error. If I re-import it via drag and drop, it is there but without the Scribbles and Text.
  2. I recently decided to give Affinity some more support and bought Designer and Photo from their web store. I already owned Publisher from the web store but had Designer and Photo from the Mac App Store. When I installed Designer everything installed and ran fine. I was able to complete the registration and verification. Unfortunate the same did not happen with Photo. I copied the downloaded file to the Applications directory. When I launched it, I got the open downloaded Apple prompt and immediately upon clicking to confirm... crash and log is posted. I have attached three such log files that came from my different attempts to install it. Steps I took were to drag the downloaded copy over the fresh installed copy. Move the broken app to the trash and re-install. Then I tried re-downloading to a different folder on Macintosh HD, and installing from there. I suspect something went wrong with the conversion from Apple Store to Affinity Store versions, but I don't know how to read these logs. I did go and verify my fonts as suggested elsewhere in this forum, but they all check out OKAY. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 3. Files saved from Photo (.afphoto) are not showing thumbnails in Finder, just the default icon. I have that option turned on in preferences. Any ideas how to workaround while Affinity fixes it?
  4. The problem does not always appear, but very often at specific point: When I made couple slices and configure export formats on it etc... After click on "Export Slices" button program freezes, and I had to force to Quit. After run affinity designer again it works. It's so annoying especially when working frequently on slices. This has been happening for a long time, I already have a second computer so it is definitely not the fault of the hardware. Current setup: MacBook Pro 16Inch 2021, M1Pro 16GB macOS Monterey 12.2 Affinity Designer 1.10.4 Earlier computer when issue exists Mac Book Pro 2018 15inch i7 6core 16GB macOS BigSur
  5. Please Note: All of the issues mentioned below should be resolved by updating to macOS Monterey 12.1 or higher. Due to code-signing changes in macOS Monterey, Affinity Apps can experience performance related issues such as spinning pinwheel (beach ball), lag or delayed operations. Below are a few examples that are affecting users: Delayed app startup Panels such as Brushes, Macro, Styles etc... populating slowly and delays when scrolling Lag when using Channels Panel, especially with Pixel Selections Delay when selecting colours from the Fill Tool / Gradient Tool on the context toolbar Lag when browsing Presets in the Crop Tool This issue is logged with our developers and they're currently investigating. As a workaround, some users have found that disabling Automatically Adjust Brightness under Apple > System Preferences > Displays reduces these delays.
