  1. Hi, I would like to share with you a site where you can download lot of PSD Mockups (electronic, food, item) entirely for Free. All mockups have editable semi-transparent shadows and electronics mockups - iPhone, iPad, Surface also have fully editable screens. All resources available on Undesigns.net are royalty free for use in both personal and commercial projects. You don’t need to include any attribution or link to Undesigns.net. https://undesigns.net/
  2. Hi there, m name is Liam. I'm basically a total rookie. I have just started web design. I am trying to use PSD mock-ups I've downloaded from a free resource website. I can open them, but the smart image feature doesn't work. I just want my images to fit in automatically and scale. I have seen a video online, but that was from 2015. I'm not sure if I'm downloading them correctly, or opening them correctly. Any help please? thanks
  3. hi, I am making a mockup and I am trying to achieve the effect of skewing (not shearing) as shown in the image below the right edges of the picture is closer to the center than the left ones I am sure that this feature is right there in affinity designer waiting for us to use it because the image below is taken from the official trailer
  4. In this tutorial I will demonstrate how to create a DVD cover mockup in Affinity Designer 1.5.5. Tutorial on my YouTube channel Keep on drawin' Norbert
  5. Hi Folks, I'm after some help again. I created a very simple and basic logo design in affinity designer and I now want to use a PSD mockup of a van I have and put my design over top of that to show it on the van. I have opened up the Mock up van and my design both in Affinity Photo but the next bit is where it all goes wrong. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the overlay right. I know I will need to use a mask but I really am not very clued up with using them. Can anyone help? Thanks again Mark Oh yeah... Ive attached my two files BCL Colour .psd GemGfx_Vehicle_Branding_Mockup.psd
  6. Hey Affinity, I've been using both Designer & Photo since its beta and I really enjoy it. I have gained nothing but enjoyment and happiness using your software and the progress you make. My only concern about Photo is the lack of smart objects. I understand there's a few posts from last year that mention them, but I'm not sure where this feature sits on your list of things to do as I couldn't see it on either of the roadmaps. It's basically the only thing I need Photoshop for at this point. Ability to read .PSD with Smart Objects instead of flattening the file into a pixel layer. Smart Objects This would be amazing, and I know that I'm not the only person that use mockups with this feature. I tend to make my own, but sometimes it's more suitable to use an existing one, which is made using Photoshop. I understand you aren't Adobe, so I'm unsure what you can and can't do, so even if the feature works in it's own way, I would be overjoyed. Keep up the good work Affinity, Cheers, Lachlan

  8. How can I replace an image that has been transformed (given perspective)? Explanation: I have an iPhone mockup and I want to replace the screen with multiple images. The background will not be changing just the content. The images will be at a skewed angle. When the image has not been transformed, in Affinity, it shows the tab 'replace image,' however when I click on the transformed image that option is no longer in the context tab. I'm not sure if this matters but... when I click on the transformed image it is selected and says PIXEL (withOUT the option to replace image). When I click on the image that has not been altered in any way it says IMAGE (with the option to be replaced). I want to replace the image with another image of same size(skewed). How can I easily replace that? This step I need multiple times. I need to replace that single image, save and then replace the image again and again. ------------- If there is no way to do what I want or the replace image option isn't available after an image has been skewed, is there another way to do the same thing I'm looking for? Thank you.
  9. Hello! This feature was mentioned in another (a bit unrelated) topic so I'm creating a new one to highlight it. This is just for Affinity Photo. A Live Mesh Warp Filter Layer would allow for the creation of complex product mockup images with embedded documents. For example, bottle labels or round cans. Thanks!
  10. Hello everyone, I created a channel on youtube and I will put some tutorials on Affinity. Follows the first video. https://goo.gl/vKPmd5 tutorial_mockup.zip
  11. Hi everyone, i've created a mockup for iMessage Apps UI. The assets contains the icon app table, the compact UI mode, another compact + callout bubble ui and the Expanded UI mode. All it's created by vectors, hope will be useful. http://itemplates.altervista.org/iMessage%20App.afassets ;)
  12. Hey guys, I just recently found out about the live perspective filter – how could I miss this important filter?! :o This filter is awesome! It’s similar to my beloved Smart Objects from Photoshop, if not better considering in combination with other live filters like DOF! So I thought why not share my first »just-replace-and-you’re-ready-to-go« file. :D In case you want to try – here’s the download. A nice and simple DIN letterhead mockup to demonstrate how cool this filter works, maybe it saves you time somehow. ;) You may need to further adjust it to your liking. Have a nice day Dennis
  13. Hi, I'm trying desperately to ditch Photoshop but have a couple of issues I am having problems recreating in Affinity Photo. I am trying to create a mockup file that has a framed image in perspective in a hall - imagine an art gallary view looking down a corridor. I have all the frames in situ, but want to be able to add and change the content of those frames from embedded images that are then transformed with the perspective tool. This I can do manually, but I'd like to be able to get the embedded images in position then be able to easily change the embedded file for new images which automatically update the perspective in the main image. I create lots of digital art and like to frame it in a realistic looking setting so need to do this on a regular basis. In Photoshop I would have used a smart object to do this easily but am having trouble in AP - as soon as I apply the perspective tool the embedded photo seems to be frozen and no longer am I able to replace the embedded image and have it update in AP. I noticed a video tutorial in AD about placing a logo on a billboard and then changing the embedded file, but there doesnt appear to be a perspective tool in AD so again I'm stuck. Anybody out there solved this one? Regards Gareth
  14. Hello from the other side! :) I am just working on a project of designing the candy bar packaging and since I'm too lazy to google, I created my own lo-fi mockup myself in AFD. Then I thought it'd be pity if I leave it just to myself. So here's an exlusive Yell candy bar mockup for y'all! :D CandyBarMockup.afdesign It's not the best one, but I didn't find any other mockup made for Affinity (I was forced to google that so I didn't post anything which already exists :)), so if you want to improve this, I encourage you to do so :) Also, feel free to share your awesome designs using this to inspire other people in this amazing community :) (and to bump this post so others can actually find it) Document info: mm units A4 artboard Generic CMYK Profile Place your design inside CANDY BAR object below 3D SHADOWS layer.
  15. I tried finding this question posted but couldn't seem to find exactly what I was looking for. I'm trying to modify a Mobile UI Mockup that I did in another application, I want to place it on top of a screen on a phone at an angle which involves screwing the imported image in Affinity Designer. I know you can get this effect using 'convert to curves' with a vector shape but I can't seem to find anything equivalent for imported JPEG or PNG images. I included pictures in a couple of links, as an example of what I'm trying to accomplish, in case I'm not being very clear. Any help with this would be very much appreciated! I'm sure I saw this being done in Affinity Photo but can't figure it out in Designer unfortunately. http://designshack.net/wp-content/uploads/iphone-mockup-psds-24.jpg http://visionwidget.com/images/2016/0123/Isometric_Perspective_MockUp.jpg Thanks very much!
  16. Hello everyone, after a long time I am posting more material, this time a Imac and keyboard, I did, in Affinity designer I hope you enjoy

  18. Here's a quick mockup I did in Affinity Photo and Designer for a signage project. These guys build small, pre-fab homes using reclaimed materials. Really beautiful stuff. Anyway, I was commissioned to design a sign using their existing type mark which would be visible from the frontage road. I shot the wooden sign and metal frame with my iPhone 5S, processed in Photo to straighten the perspective and lens distortions, color correct, etc, then sent it to Designer to add type, decided to work with lighting effects in Photo (which I then realized could edit within Designer — I LOVE this functionality). Anyway, it was such a fluid process I loved it! I actually started doing the project in Illustrator out of habit; after I imported the photo and added the type with a drop shadow, Illustrator was just painfully slow. So I quit Illustrator, launched Affinity Designer and enjoyed the process 10X more with affinity's silky-smooth experience... those Adobe folks have been sitting on their laurels for too long. Now, when can we get all Affinity apps as ONE comprehensive design environment with multiple-personas which the user purchases and activates as needed? I like the Send to Photo… and Send to Designer… options, but I'd rather switch personas and not apps. Plus that functionality is still buggy, often times it tells me it can't find the other app I'm trying to send the file to... In any case, I'm falling more and more in love with Affinity apps each time I use them. Keep it coming guys!
  19. Hey guys, so after seeing the infamous "flat mac" freebie mockup available online, I was inspired to attempt to recreate it using only Affinity Designer. Thoughts?
  20. Hello I have used PS to edit mockups end replacing the needed artwork. You do this by editing the content from a layer in the PSD file. I am wondering how you do this in affinity photo?
  21. I would like to see how you use Affinity Designer and/or Photo for mockups from sites like Graphicburger, how you prepare your stuff with the Affinity apps for presenting it to clients, online battles or a portfolio. It would be very helpful for me and other newbies. thx.
  22. Hey Everyone, Just wanted to share this. I guess I'm getting better with the app. Awesome!
  23. EDIT: See updated screenshots in #3 It's already been requested a couple of times...we can always hope B)
