My Publisher assets panel seems to be empty, on my Mac Designer it has iOS 12 assets. - Does Publisher have assets included? - With Persona, Does it not make sense that these assets are a shared resource across all Affinity applications? Seems strange that clicking on the Designer persona, still shows no assets and I need to open up the Designer application instead. - If publisher just isn't seeing them, does anyone know where I should look in my system to find them? -Is there any location in the forum for sharing assets? Thanks

Hi guys Designer and Photo create a special folder on iCould Drive, Publisher don't. For consistency reasons it would be nice if this could be added, also I am hardly utilising this feature with Designer and Photo. Cheers, Roland

Hi! I'm using Designer on a Mac and I'm not sure what I did, but the little descriptions that appear when you hover over tool icons are missing. Does anyone know what I need to do to get those descriptions back? Any help would be much appreciated ... thanks in advance! -
I've just been trying to export 5 PDF artboards using the Export Persona and I can't find the 'include bleed' option. It was a tick box in AD 1.6 but now it is not an option in the Export Persona unless I use the File > Export option -
Hi, I have an issue regarding opening photos from the apple photos app on my computer. When I go to "Open" and select the "photos" section not all the photos show up that are in my folders in that app. 've attached a photo for reference. There should be other photos included in this view but they don't show up. Why is that? Alternatively, why can't I drag and drop them into the "place images" boxes? HI, I have downloaded the test (mac) version of A D with the intention of buying the full version after playing around with it for 10 days. However, when using the test version on OSX Sierra I cant find the picture frame tool anywhere. I need to position photos within frames but am not able to do so at present. Is this function missing from the test version? If so it renders it pretty much useless.... -
I have a document sent to me by a customer in both PDF and AI format. The document uses a font that I don't have. Even though I uncheck replace fonts, Designer doesn't outline it. It just give me a standard system font. Am I missing something? I swore Designer would do this. I'm running 1.6.5 -
I know you can do that in photoshop : CMD + Click on the master "RGB" channel will select highlights. Click again will select more hightlights. is that possible with affinity ? When I go on the channels there is no master RGB channel so I don 't know how to replicate. an idea ? I want the software to detect and select the zone withe most light. -
Is there a list of the features that didn't make the Public Beta but are intended to be added through the beta period and potentially before the first gold master release candidate? Obviously, not all of those items may/will make it into the Gold Master, but it might cut down on the request list in the Forum if we could see what's being worked on that is being considered for the final release candidate. -
I've recently started using the batch feature to speed up my workflow. I had a few recordings saved in the library but the other day I went to use one and poof...they were gone. I couldn't even see the default presets. Thinking that maybe it was a glitch I tried replicating one I'd made (I needed to edit a group of photos). Once I'd completed it I tried to save it to my library....nothing. No popup window no nothing, like the link had been cut. I tried resetting the program but it didn't resolve the issue. I dont know if I deleted the batch folder or something by accident, but regardless it's not working and I need this feature for my business. Can someone please help me?????? -
I'm not sure if this question has been asked before but I think the answer will be interesting. Basically what I'm asking is: What functionality does Designer have that Publisher will not have? Or, to put it another way: Once I have Publisher, what will I need Designer for? There has been a lot of discussion about what functionality Publisher should have but I've not read anything about what Publisher will not - or should not - have. I only ask as Designer already does most of what a DTP application should do except for things like text flow, linked frames, and some other stuff, so I'm wondering how Designer and Publisher will be different from each other. For instance, will Publisher have the Pixel persona and pixel tools that Designer has, or will those be dropped? Or will Publisher have fewer effects or adjustments? Or will Publisher have fewer export options? Etc. Etc. If, to put it simply, "Publisher = Designer + Other Tools" then there would be no need for Designer, so I think it's a reasonable assumption to make that something will be "missing" and I was just wondering what that will be. Does anyone have any actual details? (I realise that Publisher isn't in Beta yet but I would guess that someone must have a reasonable idea about what it will/won't do so near to a release date.) -
Hi, I'm using Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo at my MacBook. I want to print a detail section of my paper in Affinity Designer. I noticed, that my origin print menu ist missing! As I open: "Menu" - "Print", then open up my Mac only grey simple print options of Mac to choose printer, paper size, paper orientation and so on. There is no longer the black menu for detailed print options of Affinity Designer with adjustments of "Full Paper" or "Section of paper" or "print without backgound" or "resolution" and so on. (sorry to my bad translation, I don't no the english words. hope you know what I mean.) Recently, I updated to High Sierra. Is there any correlation? Can you help me how to get the black detailed print options of Affinity Desiger back? RegardsAnit -

So when i used to start AFFINITY PHOTO and DESIGNER ( PC ), it would tell me there is an update available upon startup. Now nothing. Found out about it on facebook. How do i fix this so I get these update alerts again? Gary -
Hi, new user here. Would greatly appreciate an assist. Affinity Photo 1.6.0.89 I'm having some difficulty getting layers to show in exported pdfs. I've searched around. Is it just me? Exporting 3.5x2" 400dpi image with 10 layers into a pdf. Nothing is shown in the layers panel of several pdf viewers and editors. Did I overlook something simple? -
I'm running Affinity Designer 1.5.5 on a Macbook OSX 10.12.6. My character and paragraph popup menus no longer work. Not sure when this started, but it is probably within the last month. I have a document with a text frame full of text. I select the frame text tool and go into the text box, and select all the text in it. Then I click on "Character" tab at upper right on bottom edge of ribbon at top of screen. Nothing happens. Same with the Paragraph tab. My paragraph is indented and I want to remove the indent, but I can't see how to do it with the character pop-up missing. I restarted my computer to see if that would make a difference, but it did not. -
When I open the image for developing using open with Affinity Photo i can see all of the adjustments on the panel but no ability to commit the changes and move to the main programme. I have tried Toggle views Reset Studio Hide Studio Restarting Mac If i simply open affinity and then drag the NEF file in it will skip the develop window and won't let me go back to it. Macbook Pro on Sierra 10.12.6 (16G29) Affinity Photo 1.4.3 Any ideas greatly welcomed. Ben

Hi there - after the early July update, the "Import from Photos" section changed for the better in terms of UI, but the devs seemed to have taken away the ability to access photos synced from your computer - meaning, I can ONLY choose iPad-native photos - which are extremely limited because almost no one takes pictures with tablets. Including myself. Where did the options go? I had thousands of pics to edit but now have access to maybe 20, including screenshots and selfies and other things I don't want to edit in a professional capacity. Do i really have to go through and mark all my MacOS photos as 'favorites'? Something is off here, any help would be appreciated! Best, n8r -
I tried to finish a project and needed wanted to use some interesting fonts but when i tried i noticed I'm missing a lot of the fonts. i essentially just have the most basic fonts. Ive already tried to uninstall and reinstall and still i only have a handful of fonts. Im not sure what less i can do to get them back, hopefully someone can help Thanks -
Within Affinity Designer 1.5.4, I opened an Illustrator CC (.ai) file that was saved with PDF content. Within the "PDF Options" dialog, at the bottom it said I had a missing font (a Japanese font). I clicked on the Replacement Family popup but could not find the font so I just clicked the Open button. The document opened with all text that used that "missing" font converted to a generic font. I then choose the Text tool and selected some of that text, and I then clicked on the Font popup in the upper left. Low and behold, there was my "missing" font within that popup. Selecting the font made the selected text look normal again, albeit with messed up kerning. So wouldn't you say this be a bug? For truly, if the font is really there (and since I proved that after opening the file), the very fact Affinity Designer said the font was missing seems like a bug to me. I now have a related question. In Illustrator whenever this sort of thing happens, after I open a document I can then easily click on the Type menu and choose "Find font..." That opens the Font Font dialog which gives me an at-a-glance overview of all the fonts in the document, showing me which is missing (if any). I can then quickly and easily choose a font to substitute from the bottom half of that dialog, and with a mere click of the "Change All" button, I can substitute my replacement font throughout the document. How does one accomplish that using Affinity Designer? Surely there must be an easy way to tell Affinity Design how to substitute fonts throughout a document? Thank you. -
Before critsism ... i did now few smaller projects with AffinityDesigner - and i am still happy - thanks! I work more on „scientific/technical“ things, rather than painting projects. So, may be, i have a little different point of view. Most of the things i missed in the beginning i almost found. What is left? -shift duplicates please if i produce some dublicates, i don't see, that ther is on ore 2 ...ore12 - if the dublicates would be placed close beneath teh origin, it is easier to handle ... - no 4-key shortcuts, (I almost realized, it is easy to change.) just a suggestion from a usability freak - if possible: a great deal would be to import Corel Draw files. I dont know, where the users com from, but i know a lot of people, who work with CorelDraw. I have thousands of plans, diagrams, mindmaps and so on . If could open them .... from specially interest, because old CD versions (14 and younger) do not work with Win10! So there is a graet chance in winning these users, who are unlikely to pay the Corel fees ... I hope thei helps for proceeding in this great project! Sincerly, Kai Paul -
I'm experiencing some issues with exported PDFs and display of fonts in AD 1.5.0.19 When I export the document with the WEB setting, fonts are rasterised when in groups where layer FX is applied to ANY object within the group. (See attached Leaflet for WEB) If I select the PRINT profile, occasionally fonts disappear entirely, also (I think) related to being grouped with other layers. (See attached Leaflet for PRINT) I've also attached the original file for you to look at. I removed raster images from the file to make it quicker to upload, otherwise it was 35MB! Hi, Recently had the bleed go missing on export to PDF. Had to recreate the artboards, in once instance on a new file for them to be exported. Just to clarify; bleed was selected on the Document Startup and the PDF export. I've attached a stripped down version of the file and the PDF I was getting (with crop marks but no bleed). Hi, when i try to open a PDF in AD 1.5.0.10, Star Time JL, a font pretty hard to read, is in every row for replace Fontfamily in the open dialog box. That doesn't make much sense? What can i do to change this, I didn't find an option in preferences. Also, its not possible to work with AD here on my maschine, when imorting a 200 and more pages PDF file, the program is hanging. All the pages are displayed on the artboard in miniature, after 1 - 2 minutes or so. Scrolling in the layer tab is nearly impossible, AD is hanging again, it feels, the program is overstrained concerning large PDF files. Win 10, 8GB Ram, i5-3570K (3.4Ghz)

So I am exporting my magazine. I've got a couple pages that don't export layers. 2 pages is just a single image layer. Another page is background image, and then 2 small rectangle images with strokes. The two small images export, background is white.... Another page is just again a single image, and just exports White.. Need to get this done like ASAP. Any help would rock
