Is it possible to merge nodes without losing their bézier setting? The task I'm trying to do is to create a design that has some symmetrical elements. I draw one half and mirror it over. The problem I find is when I come to join pieces. There doesn't seem to be a way to get nodes to merge properly. I can snap overlap them, but that is not ideal and may cause problems later. An example would be a heart shape outline. Imagine you draw the left side then mirror it right. Joining the top right and bottom right nodes to their left counterpart loses the bézier on the right of the node. The nodes on the left side retain their bézier, on the right they become sharp. Thanks for any help, this is driving me mad.

So when I used to use Illustrator, and I have a complex group of layered objects (on top of each other), I could 'Expand', 'Flatten Transparency', then 'Merge', and I would effectively have an object that was flattened only to its visible parts. I could then go in and delete the coloured areas and be left with a clean line art style image. As of yet, I have not been able to find any way of flattening my objects in Designer to only its visible parts. Does anyone have any suggestions on this? Thanks

Here is my attempt to merge a couple of shots of the Allianz Arena in Munich going from day into night. The Arena was being lit in rainbow colours to celebrate Christopher Street Day 2016.

Hello, I was working on a file for a client in the Trial Version of Affinity Designer. I saved the document and closed Affinity. When I reopened, I was alerted that my trial had ended, so I purchased the full version. However, I am unable to open the document I was working on in the Trial version. Is there a way to open up files in the full version that were created in the trial version??? PLEASE HELP! I need to edit this graphic for a client ASAP.

Hello, I´m new here and I would like to know if there is a possibility to merge a path (line)? And if on the other hand it is possible to divide a path (line) into 2 or more pathes? I think in Illustrator there is a scissors, but I can´t find anything similar in Affinity desgn. It would be really great if somenone can help me...! Thanks in advance und my best regards, sandfraeulein

If this is already a feature, then if someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it, if not I would like to request a way to merge paths. I don't know if this would be considered a boolean operation or not but in Affinity as it is, I have to have two shapes selected to use the boolean operations. I would like to be able to merge shapes that I draw using the winding fill mode so that the overlaps are combined into one shape (does that make sense). In Illustrator, there are Pathfinders and you have the option to "merge" paths and it will clean up and combine any overlapped areas even if it is only one shape.
