  1. Hi, I have just bought publisher and am following the tuition on setting up a document. I have created 3 masters but they are all linked and I cannot detach them. Whatever I do to one appears on all 3. The instructions for detaching say that the Masters should appear on the Layers Tab but they don't. They only appear on the left hand side under Masters with the 6 pages I have created under Pages.
  2. If you change the displayed/active artboard of a multi artboard Designer file placed on a master page, this change won't be reflected on regular pages. It always shows the artboard that was first visible upon placing the file. It's possible this also happens with other types of multipage documents (Affinity Photo, PDFs) but I only tested with Designer files. Steps to reproduce: Open Affinity Designer Create a new document with 2 Artboards Draw a purple circle on the first artboard and a blue square in the second, just so they're instantly recognizable Save it somewhere, you can now close Designer, it won't be used anymore Create a new Publisher file, check Default Master so a master page is already applied to any pages added Add a few pages to the document, let's say 6, just so the issue is more evident Double click Master A in the Pages panel so you can add elements to it Place the Designer document you saved on step 4, by default it should show the first artboard, the purple circle Notice the purple circle is correctly displayed on all pages where the Master A is applied Back on the Master A, select the placed file and use the context toolbar to change to the second artboard You should now see the blue square on the master page as expected Notice that the blue square is not being shown on the pages where the master is applied, instead you continue to see the purple circle This is not just a visual bug, if you export a PDF all pages will indeed have the purple circle instead of the blue square Thanks!
  3. I have the new publisher for windows. I follow directions for applying a master to a page, but it doesn't work. I have three masters, two of which are based on Master A. Master A dominates and I can't apply one of the others to a new page. Any solutions?
  4. I am very interested in moving into Affinity permanently but so far I don't see any way to create symbols which can be edited as separate documents and then handled as self contained objects within a work document. This is critical to UI/UX work flow (a single change to a button can be instantly reflected in hundreds of documents) and can also be pretty useful for certain styles of illustration with repeating patterns. Dose Affinity handle this in its own way? If not is it on the roadmap to being implemented as a feature? In terms of this feature, it would be wonderful if these symbols can have many states - and each state can have property / behaviours added. In a best case situation this feature set I would be supporting the following: a symbol / object can have multiple states. each state is a separate page, each page has a properties panel to assign an action or variable. e.i. "click / swipe action trigger page [X]" or "if [variable x] is true / false trigger page [X]" symbols can be exported as SVG / PNG / GIF and each additional state is saved as a child file. e.i. button_X.png, button_X_focus.png, button_X_disable.png, button_X_hover.png symbols groups can be exported as an Axure RP library - this would be sooooo awesome but obviously difficult as the framework is very different in the Export Persona mode, symbols can be automatically spliced and placed into HTML for quick mockups
