  1. Are there any updates on automatic font activation for font manager applications, both Mac and Windows? There were at least two threads in the past that I could find, now archived, but there was never a real answer from Serif/Affinity as to if and when this feature would finally be integrated. The latest news is that FontBase has tried to contact Serif on several occasions (according to a thread in their forum), but has not received any response. I would love to be able to use this super handy feature of Fontbase, or by now almost any other font manager out there, together with Affinity Suite, but nothing seems to have happened in this area for years.
  2. Hello! When working with the “Develop Persona” section, I was very surprised by the lack of elementary tools for working with mask layers! Namely, what is missing so far: There is no way to show, turn off, hide or fix a layer with a mask. I can't invert the layer mask. I can't copy the mask of one layer to another layer. There is no way to adjust the mask to select dark or light parts of the image for processing the RAW file. All data about layers and masks is deleted after I return back from the "Photo Persona" section to edit the raw file in the "Develop Persona" section. A huge request to developers is to implement in the next updates these elementary tools and functions that are available today in almost every raw editor and converter. Thanks! 😗👍
  3. Hi. Previously there are request about symbol management here https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/45462-assetsymbol-management/ Well, it might be harder/ takes longer to implement. But for next update, can you guys at least making a way to delete multiple symbols at once (from symbol library). Currently doing right-click -> delete -> confirm is very tedious for me as I can have like 100 - 150 symbols at once. Thanks.
  4. I have been trying to reclaim space on my iPad to keep it running smoothly but for some reason no matter how many files I remove from the iPad app Affinity Designer I can’t get the Documents and data below 50GB. I’m looking at the documents and data list and it has some fonts, a few files but nothing near the 50GB the settings app is telling me AD is using. Anyone else having this problem and is there a fix I’m not aware of?
  5. I have selected adobe 1998 as the colorspace in my SonyRX10M4 which is also set to give me raw data .ARW files. When I import them as a batch job to Affinity for processing into .tif files and then save them back to the original folder the colorspace changes to the, less desirable, sRGB 1996 colorspace. I can't find any way of making sure that the colorspace I chose in my camera remains the same the saved .tif file after Affinity has processed it. HELP
  6. I have recently started to clean-up my photo directories by using Photo Supreme DAM software. However, I have a lot of afphoto files that I'm not quite sure a smart way of categorizing/tagging. My initial thought was to store the afphoto files in the same collection as the RAW files. How do y'all categorize/tag .afphoto files in your DAM software?
  7. Would love to see better management options of the Assets and Symbols panel. It gets messy very quickly, and no way to reorder...that coupled with inadequate preview makes it pretty frustrating.
  8. Hello everyone, I currently own a monitor which is used for color management, but unfortunately I am still very confused on how everything works. I read so many articles, etc., and I still don't feel that things are clear to me, mainly because when I try to experiment with these things I get mixed results. My monitor is capable of 99% adobeRGB and I set it in windows to always use adobeRGB. My concern is that the colours I see in Affinity photo differ quite a lot to those I see in lightroom (I use a standalone version of lightroom to do cataloging and some pre-editing). I read that lightroom used ProPhoto RGB as its main icc profile for the develop module. Well, I set the "RGB color profile" in the AP's color profiles as the same (I downloaded it from the icc website). Nonetheless the colors are still different. Is this somehow a conversion from the higher gamut ProPhoto RGB to adobe RGB (screen's icc profile) that uses different engines and therefore the colours are different? What are the steps between the photo's RGB values->screen when in AP? I need guidance or someone to really dumb down the information and feed it to me, because I am very confused with this ordeal. Thanks for anyone's time, all the best, -JA
  9. I would find the ability to import and export swatch palettes incredibly valuable. Furthermore, the ability to re-arrange my swatches by drag and drop would be very useful when working with large palettes so I don't have to be mindful of the order I add them in. Finally, is it really necessary to ask the user Are You Sure you want to delete this? Especial;lily considering I've already had to tap and hold on a swatch, only to be presented with a menu which then asks me to pick between rename and delete. Is the modal pop-up Are You Sure needed? - Along those lines, when in swatch list mode, a double tap on a swatch to start renaming would be appreciated. Little details which I hope would help make the management easier, fun and swifter. But especially swatch import please.
  10. Hello, I would like to suggest a couple features for layer management. The first being able to click and drag down the column of checkboxes (layer visibility) and be able to toggle them on and off in the process. Targeting each individual layer can be tedious and time consuming. This would also be a great function to add to the locking of layers. Also, being able to alt+click one specific layers checkbox to turn the visibility off of all other layers, accept the one clicked. Thanks!
  11. Hello everybody, I've bought Affinity designer to set up Artboards for webdesign. Right now I am working on an administrator dashboard for a SAAS application. I have a few artboards. To name a few: - Favicon artboard - Logo artboard - Background image artboard - Dashboard homepage design artboard. It would be nice if we could use artboards in other artboards, like a portal. Right now I am editting my logo in the logo artboard and then copy the logo over to the dashboard artboard. It would be nice if I could put a reference to the logo artboard in the dashboard artboard, so that changes made to the logo artboard would instantly appear in the dashboard artboard. Best regards.
  12. I just switched from Aperture and Photos and am very impressed. With the Apple products, they take care of cataloging and filing the images. I have looked at tutorials for Affinity and unless I am missing something do not see how it works. Since I am starting new, would appreciate any suggestions. Right now, i am separating the exported files and the work files in different folders. Just trying to save myself from a mess in the future. Thanks,
