I have recently shifted from Adobe to Affinity. Most of my work is related to Designer, I use Photo occasionally. I’m very satisfied with it overall. I can do pretty much everything on Affinity which I could do on Adobe. But I have noticed that there are some very basic tools which are missing in Affinity apps. Here, I’m making a list of those tools. My request to Affinity decision makers & developer team is that, please include these tools in Affinity 2.0 as designers are desperately waiting see these in Affinity (Most of them are just related to Designer but some are missing in Photo too): Freeform Gradients Gradient Mesh Tool Vector/Pattern Fill Shape Builder Tool Live Tracing Perspective Distort/Free Transform RTL Languages Support Blend Shapes Inefficient Boolean Operations 3D Text Tool Simplify Curves Live Mesh Warp Filter

Hi, firstly really impressed so far with how easy the software is to work. Most of the features i use everyday are there and some just needed me to find where they were and I'm able to continue with work process as normal - previously used adobe illustrator cc and cs5. I would like to know where live trace feature is? If its not available when you you think it will? All my work starts on paper and is scanned and traced before working digitally. This is for the by hand aesthetic it gives. Also where can I find roadmap information? If i find a fault i do not want to be repeating information you already have Thanks Sarah

Yesterday I bought affinty designer for my Mac and wondered that one important tool is missing. When do You think will a sort of live trace tool be developed in order to transform bitmaps to vector based graphics/files?. For me this is one of the most important tools in Illustrator, a program I warnt to left behind me. Even of it does Not work very precicely there it helps making Workflows faster.

Hello, I just downloaded the free trial of Affinity Designer and I'm trying to figure out if I'm missing something or if it's unavailable. I'm looking for an image trace option to take hand lettered sayings into scaleable vectors. I normally use Adobe Illustrator for this option but I can't afford the $20/month. This looks like a beautiful program so please, please have this!

Hello I just stumbled upon this site to find an alternative to Illustrator and Photoshop and this program seems pretty close. But Ive read a few forums that live trace isn't available on this program. I need it primarily because I turn my drawings into clipart when I scan them. Does anyone know when a feature like this would become available? Thank you

In Illusrator I could live trace an image outline and remove the fill to create a tracing template. I cannot work out how to do that with this program. The images I use are all black silhouettes of animals mainly attached example of what I want to do. bassethound.ai

primarily thanks Your save me from the curse of adobe :) Is the future there will be live trace? artboard page layout and adding future? Future 3D work? When will 3x 4x blend? so much :)
