  1. Is there a way in Affinity Photo to generate this effect: - you have a picture, e.g. of a leave, - you draw a shape, e.g. an ellipse, on top of the first picture, as a second layer (e.g. a magnifier glass) - you assign a live distortion effect to this ellipse, e.g. a wave, sphere, lense distortion etc. (the magnifier effect) - and this effect is then applied to the layers below the shape, but within the frame of the shape? You could design a magnifier glass on top of the leave picture, and while moving this glass around, you see the magnification effect constantly. - Useful to find a right position for this effect to magnify the right spot. - Useful to draw a rain drop on top of the leave which really looks like a drop, including distortion of the water. Ideas? Best regards BlauerClaus
  2. Would love to be able to adjust where to place the center of my vignette, using the Live Vignette filter. Often the area to emphasized is not in the center of the image.
In this Affinity Photo Tutorial, I show you how to create a vignette. And the previous photo corrections: I did a separate video „Belichtung & Tonwertkorrektur“ (aperture & curves). Ciao Jack www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPQVQ0UyfFA www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPQVQ0UyfFA
  4. I was playing with adding Perspective Live Filters to art text objects. I love how it retains text edibility and perspective edibility independently without having to rasterize the text! Pretty badass, guys! But I did encounter some redraw issues. Attached is my test file for your review. If you grab one of the words and drag it over the other, watch your screen redraw go kittywompus. It looks like it's redrawing one object through the perspective distort of the other object, and this is breaking the redraw on the screen. It's more apparent in Outline view... Thanks for all your hard work guys! Live perspective bug.zip
  5. Hey there! I’d like to request either a shortcut or a button in the menu to keep or reset the elliptic shape for the Depth of Field Blur filter in AP while or after scaling the affected area. For now it’s possible to hold down shift and constrain the transformation to the selected axis, though honestly I'm not sure when this will get useful for me right now. Not as intuitive but maybe a button in the menu would be nice, so after scaling the ellipse in width or height you would be able to convert it back into a circle-shape with the new dimension. Also the option to hold shift while moving the center of the effect so it’d snap onto the x- or y-axis would be cool. Let me hear what you guys think of this. ;) Greetings Dennis
  6. We don´t have the option for comparing before/ after in the live filter settings. Am I missing a different possibility? Otherwise it would be nice if this inconsistency could be addressed.
