Hello, I'm sure this must be possible but I cannot find it: How can I add a link (in particular a http(s):// url and a mailto: link) to a text? So that clicking on the text in the exported PDF opens the web browser / e-mail client (or does whatever else is configured for the PDF viewer for such links). Thanks

Hi Folks Absolutely loving Publisher. However ... ... I'm trying to insert a link to a phone number as a URL in a pdf. For the link to work the format should be something like "tel:+44123456789". The only available (and appropriate) option in Publisher to create this link is URL. However if you put "tel:+44123456789" as the URL then the exported pdf contains the link "https://tel:+44123456789", which is invalid. I believe either 1) the output URL should be formatted correctly or 2) a URL of the format "tel:+44123456789" should flag as invalid at the time of input (if the UR -

Suppose I have 2 documents: document1 and document2: I place document1 into document2. As I place it, may I choose to link document1 into document2 instead of embed it (which occurs by default)? Hello, I am working on a JavaScript Manuel reference. I created the table of content in Affinity Publisher and the headings get updated automatically. However, when I export it to PDF, I cannot click on the table of content headings to get me to the spesific area of the page. I also tried to add interactivity to it. But I don't know how ? Hi I use designer to create svg. Then I use this svg with sozi (https://sozi.baierouge.fr) in order to create a zooming presentation (prezi-like). Sozi was a plugin of inkscape but is now a standalone. I have to insert html link to improve my presentation. So I discover that it is not possible to insert html link in designer. I use Macsvg to manually insert a link (which is a mess) and I would love to make it directly in designer. Is it possible to have this feature in the next releases ? Thank you for your work Cyril

Hi, We have just installed Publisher on our Mac. But Studio Link is sadly not working. I tried all the "fixes" i found in this forum allready, but it still doesn't work. I tried to close and reopen all 3 programms in many different orders. I reinstalled all of them i updated to the latest 1.7.1 Versions off all of the Apps I Checked the firewall options … Is there like a config file on mac, where you can specify the path of Photo and Designer? Hello, I have a pretty annoying problem with StudioLink... So I have the three Affinity apps on Windows (no Beta version, I bought all of these), but when I go into Publisher then I click on the Designer Persona button in the top left corner, it displays that: I can't switch into the Designer Persona, just as if it wasn't on my PC... Note: My apps are up-to-date and I've already launched them at least once. They're in the default installation folder which is defined during their setup. Do you have any clue? Thank you! -
Hi guys! I hope everyone has a wonderful day) I needed to embed several external files into my Designer project. It should be attached to the project, but I should be able to edit the files independently of Designer. In other words, it is reflected in the Designer project. Abstract example: I have several * .afdesign files with logos And there are also several * .afdesign projects that use these logos. I need a mechanic in which I can embed logo in all projects, then edit or simply replace the file with the logo in Finder, and returning to Designer projects to find out that -
In many posts, I see frame comprising a link to another post in these forums. There is a link arrow in the top right corner. How do I create such a link? For example, if I wanted to link to this post: I seem to have answered my own question. I just inserted the url and it got automatically embedded. However I'm sure there are many users who would like to know this. John

Hello, shouldn't the master page apply any changes to the rest of the document that I have previously applied it? I have this document with 50 pages and applied the master on them on creation, but after I changed the master page I had to go and left click on a random page-> apply master to all Isn't linked the whole time? Sound like a pain if you have a multi masters document if you have to go find each one of the pages the master is applied to change it. -
Really impressed with Publisher Beta 1.7.0.227 handling of master pages though, never having used InDesign, I don't know if Publisher is now as functional or better than ID. I am looking for a way to "link" an object(s) rather than copying and pasting, or "placing" in such a way that a change to the original object is reflected wherever it has been used. For example, see the screenshot (I am using artboards here, but just for this example). I would like to a change to the objects in the "logo" artboard to be reflected in the "letterhead" and "envelope" artboards, for example changing the text from "A Logo" to "My Logo". Is there some approach that would allow this? Doesn't have to be between artboards... logo could be a separate document, etc. Thank -

Hi, You know you can link pictures to a picture frame, so that if the picture is updated then it's updated in the Publisher file too. It would be really cool if you could do something similar with text in word documents and Google Docs. That way a group of people could update the text and the changes would automatically appear in the Publisher file. Just a thought BillyB

My suggestion to (easier) embed or link resources: In Addition to the resource manager: Add a checkbox "embedded" to the context strip. if the checkbox is checked - the resource is embedded, otherwise the resource is linked. Optionally add a checkable menuitem to the contextmenu of the resource: -
I have a website smart text link in my exported pdf file and it displays properly on my computer but the end user only sees a blue underline and the link is active, but no display text.

I just went to replace an image on an AD document and noticed this new option for Embed/Link. I haven't seen this mentioned on any changelogs - have you accidentally pushed out the feature too early? I also noticed images I tried to rename on my computer were throwing up an error because the file was 'already open in Affinity Designer', so it seems to be working. -
I use a tool to have a visual feedback of our footage and have optimised it to be able to right click open it in affinity. also i use it to drag and drop footage to the canvas or to oopen it as a seperated object.. We could need the option to drag it over an existing layer to replace it ! would be handy.. maybe togethe with a shortcut to replace it and in the same time use the new one as a linked Object (when this feature will arrive for affinity ) When dragging en external file to the canvas i would like a shortcut option to first popup an option window , where to drop it .. -
Hi there is this allready possible ? Can i embedd an external Object, for example an pdf file plotted by a cad programm, combine several of them into my Affinity Photo document, and use these embedded Objects still linked to the original objects, so when i change my cad plan, i just have to plot out my new pdf´s, and the affinity document gets actualised instantly ? would be sooooooo sweeet... greetings Tom

In many programs, there is a link panel that lets you see what files are linked. Even more, there is a button to let you updated your linked files. I cannot find either of these in Designer. Am I missing them or is this a missing feature?

i'm trying to get the free months trial, I've registered and the download email is not coming through, checked email this is correct. I've tried another pc with a different email address this is not coming through either? they are not in junk folder.

In a document with artboards, it would be nice if I could create an object linked to an specific artboard (like a proxy object). This object would not be editable (only in size) and any edition to the linked artboard would be instantly update in the object. The only way to do this now is to create a document only containing the desired artboard and placing it in another document.
