  1. Hi, I just noticed that when you add any percentage of tracking to text element it automatically adds tracking on the last letter of the text, this behaviour is not wrong but is a little annoying for centered text compositions because the text with more tracking will be offset to the left. Here is comparison example between Photoshop and Designer behaviours. The text background shows how the tracking works in affinity, I think that the photoshop behaviour is better in this case. Maybe this could be the default behaviour? Thanks ;) Note: When editing the text object, both photoshop and affinity behaves the same way, the difference (!important) is that affinity keeps the spacing on the last letter within the bounding box after editing.
  2. Writing in Arabic letters is in an unnatural distorted form on a program Affinity designer, Not like Photoshop for example. in affinity Letters are broken and inconsistent with each other
  3. Greetings, I encountered this: I wanted to 'boolean add' those two shapes but was not able to get the right result. The fill mode is set on winding as shown in the first image (add1.jpg) but when I 'add' those two shapes I get the result as shown in second image (add2.jpg) (also same result if I would set fill mode on alternate or if I would press 'boolean divide') So because the letter 'r' in the image is drawn this way, I think, is why I have this issue. I know how I could bypass this but it would be a weird way :p I would've expect from the 'boolean add' button to just merge everything into one shape. I'm starting to use AD more and more, Awesome software! Thank you!

  5. howdy folks, this is a feature which i think would help mirror certain things. so with a text object, you make into a curve. seperating the letters, great. but you can angle the letters, to make them look different or curved. but what would be really cool is if you say have a word like 'HELLO', you need to angle the 'H' 'E' 'L' & 'O'. you dont need to angle the middle L since its in the center. but say you select the H & O, you can angle them, but you can NOT angle them [see 001 picture] on the inside. it just allows on the outside and the boottom/top. i have to do the same for the E and for the second L. to make the word curve to then make this [see 002 picture] so really i have to angle each letter one at a time. when i think it could be done easier it just would be cool if you could:- A - with the entire word to curves, be able to select multiple letters 2 or 3 or 4 etc, to angle from the inside points, rather than always the outside OR B - have a curved text object but allow the curve object to curve in the same way without having to do it letter by letter anyhow. if this does exist already. please do share. but if not, it would be a nice feature. also if this doesnt make sense please do contact me back ;)
  6. Hi Folks, Just after a little help again if possible. I have created a line of text in a logo I am putting together for a client. I need to adjust a couple of letters and by that I mean I need to adjust certain parts of the letters shapes. Is there a way to convert the character to a shape and manipulate that way from within Affinity Designer? I know there are other programmes that can do this such as Pixelmator etc but I can seem to see a way in AD. Any suggestions? Thanks again Mark
  7. Hi On attached image You can see some text typed with Arial font. On the left everything is as I want to but on right side, where You can see image exported to PDF, the "L" letters and "." (dot) symbol seems to be bolded somehow. No matter if I converted text to curves, after export to PDF it looks the same. With other fonts everything is OK. greetings Bartek
