Hello everyone! I'm slowly transitioning from Adobe and relearning a few things along the way. One area that I am having a hard time with is lens profiles. I photograph real estate with a Nikon D600 and Tokina 17-35mm f4 full frame lens. In Lightroom, there is a lens correction area and it automatically detects and corrects for the lens distortion. I have downloaded the latest lensfun profiles( GitHub - lensfun/lensfun: The Lensfun project Git repository for anyone else who finds this) but it is not listed. Is there any other way to obtain the lens profile? Can we request it? Is there a way to create one? Thanks, Adam

In Affinity Photo 1.8 a new feature was introduced enabeling the user to select lens profiles from a dropdown list in develop persona. Underlying dialog is split into four tabs "all", "recent", "favourite", "detected". From preferences dialog you can add custom lens profiles into a folder on the harddrive (Default C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Photo\1.0\LensProfiles). These custom profiles are not loaded into the "all" tab during the program start. So you won't be ablte to load custom lens profiles by manual selection. For these custom lens profiles the program behaviour is the same as in previous versions of Affinity Photo. All lens profiles (pre compiled and custom) shall be loaded into the all tab of lens correction dialog.

Buon giorno, scrivo questo post per riprendere due post precedenti che sono comunque interconnessi, chiedo agli amministratori di chiudere i miei due post precedenti. Uso un altro software con licenza GNU / GPL, o "darktable", e lo uso per una semplice ragione, sfruttando la libreria lensfun che è presente anche in affinità ma che è in grado di applicarla anche su file jpeg e usando un software gnu / gpl adattato allo scopo "ShitfN" per correggere le distorsioni prospettiche attraverso il rilevamento in gruppi di linee di fuga, sia che si tratti di linee verticali o verticali oblique, riesce a farmi guadagnare tempo prezioso nel correggere distorsioni e prospettiva, dato che Affinity ora applica il profilo dell'obiettivo solo ai file raw e non direttamente ma dopo il salvataggio, il che è scomodo, ma per me ancora poco pratico poiché utilizzo una fotocamera "Sigma".Inoltre Affinity per ora non ha una funzione di correzione della prospettiva automatizzata o almeno non di quella che funziona così bene, il risultato è che ogni volta che devi procedere a mano e in termini di tempo, diventa insostenibile ogni volta che devi cambiare un numero pieno di immagini. Chiedo quindi che, dal momento che questi due software, la libreria lensfun e ShitfN siano open source, fare uno sforzo e adattarli il prima possibile in quanto ciò fa la differenza tra un programma comodo e quindi utile e un programma bello ma non completo. Please allow the user to manually choose the manufacturer and lens model as Adobe does in Adobe Camera Raw. This lets the photographer select the correct lens in the lens correction database when the photographer uses a completely manual lens for which the RAW file will not have the data for manufacturer, lens model, f/stop etc. Similarly, when using electronic lens adapters such as the Metabones adapter for Canon EOS lenses on Sony alpha series mirrorless cameras bodies (e.g. a7r2), the Raw file EXIF data has the wrong manufacture and lens model because the electronic adapter must make the Canon lens appear to be a Sony lens model of the same focal length and f/stop. For example, if the widely used Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L II USM is attached via a Metabones adapter to a Sony a7r2 body, the EXIF data records the lens as a Sony "24-70mm F2.8 G SSM II". The other EXIF data for focal length the zoom was at and exposure f/stop are correct. In Adobe Camera Raw's lens corrections, I can simply select the Lens Profile Correction for the "Canon EOS 24-70mm f/2.8 L II USM" and have the proper lens corrections applied. Similarly, if I use a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 completely manual, no electronics, lens on a Sony a7r2 body, I can select that Lens Profile Correction in Adobe Camera Raw despite the lack of any EXIF lens data in the Raw file. At present, the only way to have Affinity Photo Develop apply the correct LensFun database corrections is to use ExifTool and change the data in the Raw file before Affinity opens the file. This is both time-consuming and I would rather not tamper with a proprietary Raw file format. Thank you.
