Hello everyone! I'm slowly transitioning from Adobe and relearning a few things along the way. One area that I am having a hard time with is lens profiles. I photograph real estate with a Nikon D600 and Tokina 17-35mm f4 full frame lens. In Lightroom, there is a lens correction area and it automatically detects and corrects for the lens distortion. I have downloaded the latest lensfun profiles( GitHub - lensfun/lensfun: The Lensfun project Git repository for anyone else who finds this) but it is not listed. Is there any other way to obtain the lens profile? Can we request it? Is there a way to create one? Thanks, Adam

Is there a way to include a filter that can generate lens flare/sun flare in iPad version? It would be very nice if yes, because when we want to use some we have to do them manually with images overlays and/or brushes and besides taking a lot of time to do them manually, they doesn't fit very well with the photography...

I opened a raw NEF photo taken with a Nikon Z7 with 24-70mm f4 lens in AF 1.8.3.641. The camera and lens was displayed accurately. The profile, however, was not implemented correctly. The image was distorted. I opened the same photo in Photoshop and the distortion was absent. Clearly AF does not correct the image properly. Hi All, I think I ran into a snag, I think it is a bug. In the RAW development persona the RAW info displayed in the upper left corner is not correct. The lens info shows the wrong lens info. In the exif info display menu option on the right, the correct info is displayed. After development the info is still ok in the other personas. I added a screenshot. I am running 1.7.2 on IOS 12.4 and IPad AIr 2 64GB.

Hello I have a panorama image created by Affinity Photo (v1.7.1) which has produced a panorama (see below). This panorama features a Fisheye effect that needs to be removed (or minimised at least). I have previous experience with Jasc Paint Shop Pro which did a VERY good automated effect of doing this, but I cant get the correct results using Affinity Photo. I have read similar topics on here and explored the Developer Persona and used the "lens" tab and tried to adjust the distortion, however, the distortion works on the whole image regardless of focus. points. This means that the centre of the image is reduced and set to appear further away (shrunk) whilst the same applies to the outside of the image, simply to a lesser extent. What I am looking for, is a system that sets a magnitude effect ring (usually 50% of the radius of the image) where by the image data within a range of this "ring" is not adjusted, data outside of this ring is pulled towards the viewpoint, whilst data inside this ring is pushed away (as fish eye reduction). An example image is below. smaller-Intention See The full image (16:5 ratio), see the red inner ring, all the image dta within that ring I want to be fish eye adjusted to be pushed away from the viewpoint. however, between the red ring and the yellow outer ring that image data shouldbe only minor ly adjusted as a zero point band, with the image data outside of the yellow ring being pulled up towards the viewpoint. In effect, I want to try and not just negate the fisheye effect but to actually invert the fish eye effect. Using the lens distortion effect only drags image data inwards and makes everything shrink without bending the relationship; please see the centre wall (within the yellow circle) is still bulging despite being heavily distorted (-50%). Please see the black arrows indicating that data on the periphery of the image is also being dragged inwards when that actually works against what I'm trying to achieve. Fish eye is at best only part of the solution. From all I've written, can anyone advise the name of the process that I can use in Affinity Photo OR Designer (I have both) to adjust this image in the way described. Image is created from a panorama of 5 images and is sized at ~11.8k x ~3.8k. Thanks, and apologies if the answer is a simple function I'm unaware of!

Hello Team ! Just wanted to know at some stage Affinity Photo will support Lens Profile for devices like iPhones, Samsung Galaxy, Huawei, Pixel and Mi by Xiaomi ? IN fact, today there a lot of people are shooting with their mobile phone because it is what they own and like but those devices doesn't produce RAW file the same way big brand does but some will produce HEIC, JPEG and TIFF files. I know you focus on Pro and Expert but will it be possible for small creators to also be taken in consideration ? Blessings

I watched the tutorial about adding lens profiles and added the compact Panasonic file, but still nothing. has anyone else had this problem and can it be solved? Thanks

I added the GitHub.com/lensfun/lensfun's xml files for Sony (mil-sony.xml) into the preferences directory of Affinity Photo. But when I import my Sony raw files, it seems to not recognise the lens profile under lens corrections. I verified raw files' EXIF info - Sony ILCE-7M3 and lens 70-200mm f/2.8. Then I checked the XML file and found that only 70-200mm f/4 was found and the f/2.8 one wasn't found in the contents. How can I generate the values for 70-200mm f/2.8 lens?

I read the following topic. I use the Mac version, but Affinity Photo uses the lens profile included with macOS. I'm using Panasonic DMC-GX7 and included in the lens profile list. When I look at the lens tab in Photo (RAW), it is displayed as a non-compatible lens. The same is true when I open a file taken with a Sony camera or Tamron lens. I think that the profile is applied but I am worried because I think distortion etc. are corrected when I look at the image. Is this normal behavior? Buon giorno, scrivo questo post per riprendere due post precedenti che sono comunque interconnessi, chiedo agli amministratori di chiudere i miei due post precedenti. Uso un altro software con licenza GNU / GPL, o "darktable", e lo uso per una semplice ragione, sfruttando la libreria lensfun che è presente anche in affinità ma che è in grado di applicarla anche su file jpeg e usando un software gnu / gpl adattato allo scopo "ShitfN" per correggere le distorsioni prospettiche attraverso il rilevamento in gruppi di linee di fuga, sia che si tratti di linee verticali o verticali oblique, riesce a farmi guadagnare tempo prezioso nel correggere distorsioni e prospettiva, dato che Affinity ora applica il profilo dell'obiettivo solo ai file raw e non direttamente ma dopo il salvataggio, il che è scomodo, ma per me ancora poco pratico poiché utilizzo una fotocamera "Sigma".Inoltre Affinity per ora non ha una funzione di correzione della prospettiva automatizzata o almeno non di quella che funziona così bene, il risultato è che ogni volta che devi procedere a mano e in termini di tempo, diventa insostenibile ogni volta che devi cambiare un numero pieno di immagini. Chiedo quindi che, dal momento che questi due software, la libreria lensfun e ShitfN siano open source, fare uno sforzo e adattarli il prima possibile in quanto ciò fa la differenza tra un programma comodo e quindi utile e un programma bello ma non completo. I haven't been able to find an answer yet to my correction of chromatic aberration on my new I Pad Pro 12.9 with updated version of Affinity Photo (16561) I saw in one answer concerning lens profiles, referred to the "Lens Studio"....I'm new, but I've searched the Personas and not found a Lens Studio on the iPad version. Chromatic aberration correction appears to be an easy process on the mac version...but all I can find is defringing filter on the iPad...which appears to have no effect on the CA. I have previously used Camera Raw, and found a one button solution; but I'm a bit lost trying to do this basic correction in Affinity. ive watched the tutorials and searched the web and this forum, but haven't yet found an answer. I'm hoping I missed something obvious. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

From my understanding, there are a vast number of lenses that are capable of being automatically corrected in raw processing, however, a large number of these lenses are either manual or legacy glass which are not automatically identified. Instead of going through the hassle of adding exif data (which has still not worked in my experience), could a simple drop down be added to manually select these lenses and the corresponding corrections?

Forgive me if this is already posted somewhere but I didn't see it. ACR shows automatic adjustments for different lenses and it automatically tracks what lens was used. In AP, when processing RAW images, I see the lens adjustments but from what I can tell its just all manually controlled via sliders. Am I missing any preset adjustments for various Canon L series lenses? Thank you!

Hello, I'm HalbLeiter. Today, I experienced strange problem in the EXIF of the image I've taken. I'm using Nikon Df and SIGMA Art 24-35mm f/2.0, and the images were taken with the RAW(.NEF) format. When I opened these images with the Affinity Photo, the lens data were shown (ex. focal length, aperture) but the lens maker and model were not shown. I also made questions to the lens maker(SIGMA) and camera maker(NIKON). Answer from SIGMA: This problem is related with the camera maker. Maybe the camera maker have no information about the newly released lens on the look-up table. However, we don't have permission to tweak the firmware on the camera. Please ask to the camera maker. Answer from NIKON: In original, we(NIKON) are not supporting 3rd party accessories such as lenses, batteries and speedlights. In other case, when the camera body cannot recognizes the lens, the lens maker is updating their firmware to make recognizable. Please ask to the camera maker.
