  1. When importing DNG RAW files from a DJI Mavic Drone, Affinity does not recognize the built- in lens profile for lens correction. The profile is there, Lightroom and other programs recognize and use it to correct distortion. The drone is the very well known Mavic 2, the profile name is DJI FC2204
  2. Hi, At present I evaluate Affinity Photo. My number #1 lens I use with my Canon EOS M5 is Canon EF-M 32 mm f/1.4 STM. To my surprise I could not find this lens when trying to do some lens correction to an image. I believe there must be more users who need it. Is it something that can be added within the nearest future or? Thanks in advance and all the best, Dennis

  4. Hi, i was wondering where can i find Lens Correction profiles for certain lenses, similar to in photoshop, if im shooting with a 50mm canon 1.8 , i can select it to correct certain distortions, i see you can manually correct it but it would be nice if i can select a profile
  5. I recently updated Affinity photo to version 1.7.2. After updating, the lens correction for my Olympus 8mm f/1.8 fisheye does not appear to be doing anything. Prior to updating, the automatic lens correction would straighten out the distortion from the fisheye lens, and the image in the develop persona appeared quite different depending on whether the automatic lens correction was enabled or not. Now, the image appears almost unchanged, whether the automatic lens correction is enabled or disabled. Affinity correctly identifies the lens, but it seems like the information on how to remove the distortion has been lost from the lens profile. I have tried changing the setting in the Develop Assistant from "Apply Lens Correction" to "Take no action". After that I've tried checking the box under Lens Correction, and it changes the image almost imperceptibly. Previously, it was a quite noticeable change when I did this. Has anyone else experienced this or know what should be done to fix it? Or, alternatively, what am I doing wrong? Thanks!
  6. The list of nikon lenses in the lens correction menu is incomplete. AF-S FISHEYE NIKKOR 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED
  7. Hello, does anybody know, if there is a possibility, to use Adobe Lens Correction Profiles (*.lcp) in Affinity Photo? I use an UAV (DJI Phantom 2 Vision+) for taking pictures. Because it has a fish-eye lense, i have to correct them, before i can use them (for taking measurements). Therefore, DJI has released an Adobe Lens Correction Profiles (PHANTOM VISION FC200.lcp). In Photoshop, i can open Filter / Lens correction and choose this file, to eliminate distortion from the pictures. Is there a possibility to do it in AP, too? Maybe with an Plugin? P.S.: See the pictures below. They show the original picture (before) and the corrected picture (after). It is very important for me, that the exact values from the Lens Correction Profile are used, because afterwards, i have to take measurements in the pictures. 8. Hi, since Release 1.9, the effect of lens correction seems to be very limited: rotation to -10..+10, and you can't enter higher values As i use lens correction rotation regularly as it provides a much finer control (0.1 degree) compared to crop or layer transformation, this is a step back from +/-25 % before (until 1.8.5) Hor/vert shows value of +/+100, but effect is extremley limited. I have many picture which require far more room for adjustment. If i could get a life filter in photo persona which would allow these transformation with reasonable range (rotate +/-180 degree, hor/vert to get at least 45 degree angle), i could live with the "reduced" state in develop persona.
  9. running AP 1.8.4, but AP still does not recognize any lens profile for LX 100 M2. I added "Leica DMC-LX100 & compatible" to my favourites in order to quickly apply a suitable profile manually. In Develop Assistent I also set Lens Profile Default to "last used". This helps some way. I'm not sure that "Leica DMC-LX100 & compatible" yields the best possible adjustment. So what is the current state with LX100M2?
  10. Hey guys I was looking for a lens correction for my Sony E 16-55 f2.8 G and couldn't find it, is one on the way? Also missing the Sony E 70-350 f/4.5-6.3 G OSS too? Many thanks.
  11. Hi, Since I have updated to build 1.7.2.471, Affinity Photo seems to be forgetful about my Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD B016 Macro for Nikon. As I open a .NEF RAW format file, and the Develop Persone loads, the header shows the exact lens, but automatic lens correction cannot be applied in the relevant portlet, though it is still a supported lens. The native 35mm Nikkor lens I also shoot with, seems to be handled as designed. It is very likely a bug has eaten away a bit of useful code of my poor sturdy glass. Could you please conjure up some magic to put it to work again? :) Many thanks in advance! Yours sincerely, Zoltan
  12. Hey, I'm hoping someone can help me. I've added the Canon Mirrorless lens profile from lensfun, but even with this installed AP still says unsupported when I try to develop the raw files. Thanks in advance! I've attached the xml file so you can see what I've used, plus a screenshot of the EXIF data which is all correct. Lens profile underneath still "unsupported". mil-canon.xml
  13. I have a question on automatic lens-correction: I own a manual lens (Laowa 7.5 mm/f2.0), for which a lensfun profile exists. I use it on the Olympus OMD-EM1 (Mark 1). As the lens is fully manual, it does not write any Lens related infos into EXIF data. So I thought in order to activate automatic lens correction, I have to write the EXIF data myself. I edited the tags "LensModel", "FocalLength" and "FNumber" with exiftool and inserted the data, which is found in lensfun. This did the trick in AP 1.7.1 But now with the update to 1.7.2 it no longer works... Can anybody help me with this topic?
  14. Hi, Newbie question here. I'm using the Lens correction in the Develop persona, for a wide angle lens. With the default settings, the corners gets cropped. I would like to retain the corners, even if it means missing pixels in the center of the edges due to the distortion. Where can I disable the automatic cropping? Cheers, Hendrik
  15. Hi, After opening a RAW photo shot with my Panasonic LX 100 mk2 I check the lens correction box, but it doesn't recognize the lens. I watched the tutorial about adding lens profiles and added the compact Panasonic file, but still nothing. has anyone else had this problem and can it be solved? Thanks
  16. I read the following topic. I use the Mac version, but Affinity Photo uses the lens profile included with macOS. I'm using Panasonic DMC-GX7 and included in the lens profile list. When I look at the lens tab in Photo (RAW), it is displayed as a non-compatible lens. The same is true when I open a file taken with a Sony camera or Tamron lens. I think that the profile is applied but I am worried because I think distortion etc. are corrected when I look at the image. Is this normal behavior? Is it an error? --- Affinity Photo 1.7(stable), macOS 10.14.5
  17. Hello everyone. This is my first Affinity Forums post and I'm excited to be a part of the community... I'm wondering if there is an ETA as to when Affinity Photo (both Desktop and iPad versions) will support the RAW format for the newly announced Canon EOS R mirrorless camera? Yesterday's announcement from Canon has many people excited for the new R system (including me!) and I'd love to easily bring this new camera and lenses into my workflow with Affinity Photo. Also, will there be lens correction available for the new RF series lenses? These lenses look to be quite impressive from an optical quality perspective, but support for them would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any information you could provide on this.
  18. If the photo has all four corners bright, and the vignetting becomes evenly dimmed, the automatic correction is successful. However, if some corners are dark, the automatic correction is unsuccessful - it causes unnatural lightening of the dark corners, and must be turned off. Like this Therefore, it would be advisable to allow adjustment of the correction intensity in individual corners.
  19. Hello in the use of the software and more precisely using the assistant in the phase of correction of distortion of the lens, I realized that it is applied only during the phase of saving the file, so it is impossible to verify if the automatic correction has been applied in a way corrected or if other manuscripts are needed. Moreover, the correction works only with RAW files, but using a Sigma camera and not using RAW files on Affinity but starting from JPEG files previously developed with the proprietary software of SIGMA, I do not have the possibility to use this feature, although it is usable with other software that exploit the lensfun library. I therefore ask if there is a way to use it also on Affinity starting from JPEG files or possibly being implemented in the next version of the software. Thank you Lorenzo
  20. Is there some reason why automatic lens distortion corrections that are applied to a single RAW file when the assistant is so configured, are not applied to RAW files that participate in File | New HDR merge... ? It would seem to be one of the more evident things to do. Now I find myself having to remove pin cushion and barrel distortion in a separate step. I am running ver. 1.6.7 on a Mac.
  21. Hi all, I consider to switch to Affinity Photo but I would need the support for the raw file generated by the new Sony RX100 M6 and also lens correction for this camera. Will it be supported in the near future? Thanks. PHH
  22. Hi just wondering if there are any plans to support DJI drone cameras Lens correction... mainly Mavic Air would be great if Affinity Photo could do the Lens correction and stitch panorama’s properly from DJI drones.
  23. I have Samyang 7.5mm MFT lens. Before buying affinity photo I specifically made sure the lens is supported. Now one thing to point out is that this lens generally doesn't have electronic contacts so its usage will not be listed in the EXIF data. I haven't found a way to set the lens in the software and given your post it doesn't seem possible and there isn't even a plan to make it possible. Can you please explain how you are claiming the lens as supported if I'm not able to set it manually given that this lens will never show up in the exif data due to its lack of electronic contacts? Is there a way to get this to work?
  24. I'm evaluating Affinity Photo in a work flow that uses DxO PhotoLab to apply lens as well as basic colour & exposure corrections. When I export from DxO into Affinity, photos look significantly different. Is there something I'm overlooking? Can someone please suggest how I can carry forward all of the work done in DxO before I begin more detailed work in Affinity Photo? Thanks.
  25. From my understanding, there are a vast number of lenses that are capable of being automatically corrected in raw processing, however, a large number of these lenses are either manual or legacy glass which are not automatically identified. Instead of going through the hassle of adding exif data (which has still not worked in my experience), could a simple drop down be added to manually select these lenses and the corresponding corrections?
