  1. I'd like the ability to set the Resample method default in Preferences for both Resize Document, and for PNG Export. I'm using Affinity Photo on a PC. The Lanczos Non-Separable method works best by far for my photo retouching needs and I often forget to select it when resizing the document or when exporting as PNG. Having a default in Preferences for Resample method would be one less step to remember in my workflow. Thank you for your consideration - Love Affinity Photo!
  2. The first image is cropped to 1280x720 then put through AP's export, resized to 640x360 with Lanczos resampling and 94%. The second image has exactly the same workflow applied but uses Serif PhotoPlus X8. When I compare the two the AP one looks as though it has had some serious unsharp masking applied whereas (to my eyes) the PhPX8 one looks more natural and more like the original but smaller. I know I've been using PhP for some years now and the quality hasn't changed but is something happening that shouldn't with AP or has PhP fooled me all these years? As you will see the PhP file is slightly larger in this instance. Image 1 AP Image 2 PhP Image 3 - original The image is from Pixabay and has a Creative Commons License
  3. When I save as TIF, lanczos 3 (non separable), the resulting file is blank, or black, or filled with static. This is the file compression recommended in your tutorials (excellent, btw). Other filetypes, jpg, png are viewable with that compression algorithm. The resulting file is the same size as that calculated in the export pane. No Mac app I have can open, including graphic converter. Is this issue repeatable by members of this forum, or is it some anomaly related to my system?
