  1. I have thousands of small black ellipse curves (circles) of different sizes to show sands/dunes on a map. I need knockout so that black will not turn into process black. My global black of 0/0/0/100 was working very well after days of labor when I checked each of the CYMK using Print Production/Output Preview in Illustrator. After switching over from AffPub to AffPhoto to edit colors in a raster tiff in a completely different part of the doc, something happened so that I can no longer get my knockout. From AffDesigner I had outputted a PDF with the "sands" so that I could place the PDF inside an outline of the area of the sand. This worked very well (love in AffPub). When my knockout no longer worked (I could only get process black without knockout), I was using the same PDF. No input changes, but something happened in AffPub, even though I use the same export preset (with overprint not checked!). Is this a bug in AffPub that might be because I took the doc into AffPhoto (via the icon in AffPub)?
  2. Hi Affinity Team This is a follow up from what I mentioned above... I have set the global colour to 80% black and ticked "overprint", but when I few my press-ready artwork in Acrobat Distiller and turn off the Black (Separations) it is knocking it out from the background colour instead of the assigned "overprint" it should be doing so the background colour is preserved! This is a biggie so please please please don't forget about it! The "overprint" is not working! Thanks.
  3. Hi Affinity Team This is a mammoth task but a great start with Affinity Publisher! I'm constantly moving pre-press artwork across to my preferred printer and I'm asking them to give me feedback and review with the pre-press ready PDF files I'm sending them and the major issues that they are reporting is... - issues around knockout and overprint... this is not really that straight forward for now plus not clear in how this can be picked up before exporting the artwork? - and when they need to impose the job and they use InDesign for that, hence the following comment..." I'm also getting some weirdness when placing the file into indesign for when we impose the job" Other then that keep up the great work! Thanks.
  4. Hi, I've received a request from my printer to knockout white text I have layered on top of a colored area. I know in InDesign the color white is basically "paper". So knocking out is basically automatic. How can I do this in Designer? Thank you
