Not sure wether it came with the last update or later, but I cannot use 4-key combos anymore. I normally use ctr+sh+alt+S all the time to export, but now it does nothing. Checked settings>shortcuts, and it's still there. If I remove it and try to register it manually, only the 3 first keys are recognized. I have no new keyboard, software etc.

Hi all, Recently purchased a keyboard and mouse to use along with my iPad Pro, as I thought I would be able to use Affinity Designer more intuitively. Only to find that the program is missing some very basic keyboard shortcuts. Some examples of the shortcuts in question are: Artboard panning (Spacebar + Drag), along with CMD button and (-)/(+) for zooming in and out. I really wanted to be able to invest more time into Affinity on the iPad, but feel like I can't with it lacking such basic shortcuts. Does anyone know if these are going to be added at some point (hopefully soon)??-

This has been plaguing me for quite some time. When I use bluetooth keyboard to type in numeric values and such, .(period) key and backspace key shows in the input textfield. If I example 1) I try to adjust red channel on a Channel Mixer layer by typing 20. I realize I wanted to type 25, so I press backspace key. This would not delete the 0, but instead add a (null) after 20, as the following: example 2) I use a High Pass filter, and want to set the radius to be 2.5px. I type 2.5, and this is what shows up in the text field: In either case, even if I press (OK) to apply the adjustments, they will not apply anything. Another issue is when I press Enter key(= return), it creates a line break in the textfield rather than functioning as pressing (OK) to accept the value. I am using iPad Air 4th gen, iOS 14.4 official release. The keyboard is Logitech K380, and I haven't experienced any issue like this with about 5 other different devices(iPhones, a Mac, Windows laptop). Affinity Photo for iPad is on version 1.9.2.236. I do want to add that this issue has been around since I first got Affinity Photo, which was around version 1.8. -
Dear Affinity team, I ran into an inconsistency when navigating text with cursor keys. Reproduce * Place cursor inside any text * Press OPTION + CURSOR LEFT/RIGHT * Native MacOS: jumps word by word left/right * Publisher: narrows down word/character space * Expectation would be to make use of muscle memory from MacOS and use the same keyboard shortcut within Publisher, eg use SHIFT + OPTION + CURSOR LEFT/RIGHT (or any other) * Same for CMD + CURSOR LEFT/RIGHT which under MacOS is used for line wise jump, in Publisher used for word wise jump. System * MacOS 10.14.6 * Macbook Pro 2014 * Publisher 1.9 * No other issues encountered Would appreciate if this could be changed in the future. Thank you. -
Some users complain that Japanese input with hardware keyboards won't work properly when the Live Conversion is enabled It's in iOS Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard *please move this topic to Bug report section. I've posted this in wrong section.

If you have some connected textboxes, allocated over some pages and you mark text by using Command+PageDown, only text on the last page is visible selected/covered (see screenshot). Same behavior if you use the mouse. Its "only a cosmetical" problem, but it makes some unconfident feeling in the workflow.

Hello, I'm trying to redefine the keyboard shortcuts for brush resize (squadre brackes are a bit uncomfortable for me), it seems I have to redefine them separately for every different brush type. Is there a way to change the shortcuts for all brushes at once? I know I can also use Ctrl-Alt + mouse drag but it's very difficult for me dragging on one axis, so I often end up changing brush hardness too... Thank you in advance, Mario -
Hey all, and thanks to the developers for what looks like a really great suite of applications! Just bought Designer and Publisher, and am now wondering how one can change the keyboard increment / nudge distance in Publisher. Saw from a Designer forum post that it should be available there now - any hint for Publisher? It's a bread and butter function for me, and prob for many ... Thanks! -

Set brush opacity and flow with an Affinity Photo action

Is it possible to set brush opacity + brush flow with an Affinity Photo action or with a keyboard shortcut? This enables a quicker workflow if one can just toggle between e.g. 20% opacity 20% flow and then go back to 100% opacity 100% flow without having to change it every time manually. Thank you for your advice how to do this or to take the time to add it to your feature request list. 😃 -
Affinity photo v.1.7.3 keyboard shortcuts stops working after language switch (to Russian). After changing the language back to english the shortcuts begin to work again. I use native apple software keyboard. And a bluetooth mac-style hardware keyboard.

I have an issue while using affinity designer for ipad. Sometimes when I select a text to edit, my on screen keypad doesn't show so I can't edit the text. I do have an external keyboard but I don't always want to use it. The "funny" thing is that when I have my physical keyboard connected, sometimes the in screen keyboard pops up anyway in designer. I don't know if it's a designer bug or an ipad bug but in any case it's quite frustrating and makes it difficult to get any good work flow.

I’m using affinity designer on my iPad Pro 11 with an apple keyboard folio and a mouse. It would be great to have command-c command-x command-v command-z delete and other keyboard shortcurts Also modifier keys so for example I can draw a rectangle from center, or corner point, etc...

Hello. Someone posted this several months ago, I found it in the pre 1.7 thread. It seems it hasn't been addressed, it still doesn't work. I'm using Win 10, Affinity Photo version 1.7.1.404. (Microsoft store version). Here's the original post... Using a full-size UK keyboard, arrow keys (up/down/left/right) aren't recognised when customising keyboard shortcuts. In the below example, it won't allow the user to add the default keyboard shortcut back again (Alt-Right), as none of the keyboard arrow keys are recognised. In this situation the user would need to reset all the keyboard shortcuts back to default. -
In Publisher each persona has it's own shortcuts, now when I'm exporting them what is included? All three sets of shortucts or maybe only those for currently configured persona? Same for import - say I've exported shortcuts from Designer. Now I want use them in Publisher's Designer. So I go to Shortcuts > Designer > Import will it work? -
This one is a bit hard to explain for me.. but while using the onscreen virtual keyboard in AP, and if i slide from the side to open another window, the keyboard disappears, but i still can type on it. I uploaded my screenrecording of this bug. If i first open another small window (sliding from the right), and then choose the type tool, everything is fine, so the bug appears only if i type first, and then slide from the right and opening so a small window. 94F25A88-F838-4145-BD35-B54CC4A4808E.MOV

Trying to assign keyboard shortcuts to my character styles, I've discovered that the numeric keyboard input is interpreted as regular numbers. This has been checked against different keyboards (apple and 3rd party) This greatly reduces the availability of keyboard shortcuts to use with styles, as most of numbers are already assigned to other functions, specially on command+number combinations. Command+numeric keyboard is a great way to arrange shortcuts for styles. If this is not a bug, I suggest to allow Publisher to detect the difference between the two types of numbers, as is the case on InDesign, where numeric keyboard numbers are identified as such. (I know, i know, comparisons are not the point here, but…) -

I am having issues with my keyboard working in Photo 1.7 running Mojave. I have given Photo access to the computer, yet it will not respond. Makes it very difficult trying to use the pen tool. Any suggestions?

When entering composite characters, e.g., entering an á using the US International/Extended keyboard layout by pressing first the ' (apostrophe) key, then the a key, both the first and the combined characters are entered in Affinity Publisher. The correct behaviour should be to temporarily show the first character of a composite, then if a valid character for a composite is entered, e.g., an a after an ', then show only the composite á if an invalid character for a composite is entered, e.g., a b after an ', then show both the first and second characters

I like to set up keyboard shortcuts to reset the colours back to black and white. So I did that in all the Affinity programs in Publisher. When I start a new document default (white) is set is set to R=231 G=232 B=233 and Default (black) is set at R=35 G=31 B=32. If I use my keyboard shortcut to make the actual Black and White (not sure why they are not by default) White will be R=255 G=255 B=255 as it should be. But Black is still as it was R=35 G=31 B=32. If I change both colours and use the keyboard shortcut, they return to actual white and not black numbers as stated above. Is there a way to set the colours by default to white and black and is there a way to edit the colours got via the keyboard shortcut? On a side note, I have also set up a keyboard shortcut to get 50% grey, when I use my shortcut the colour I get is R=147 G=149 B=152 surely 50% grey is R,G,B=128? -
Same bug as in Photo. It's impossible to assign the shortcut "ALT + BACKSPACE" or "CTRL + BACKSPACE" to anything. The software just refuses to acknowledge the BACKSPACE when you press it on the keyboard. I double checked the Mac Os version, just to be sure, and it works as expected. No problems at all at assigning the shortcut there. Thank you -
