Hey Guys, I’m trying to fit the chairs under the table so that on the right side you would see the back of the chair and the back legs, but the rest would be under the table. But it seems that whilst I can move these layers around to be visible, with the rest showing below the table as soon as I group the chair the layering is no longer respected. I really need the chairs grouped so I can easily move them around. I hope I’m being clear with what I’m trying to achieve. Any ideas on how to have a chair that is grouped but with the layering showing correctly Conf Room.afdesign

Hey everyone, I am a total newbie when it comes to vectors and cannot figure out how to cut letters to create an interlocking logo of letters. I have just started using Affinity Designer and Photo on my iPad and considering purchasing Designer for my MacBook too. I have made a quick mock up of what I am trying to achieve in Procreate, the only way I could figure out how to do it in Designer was to overlap the letters with a thicker outline but it is not the same as having the cut space to work on any background. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I would achieve this as vectors? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance

I was trying to save time and use Designer on my iMac yesterday and after hours of trying to resize a large file, I decided that it was going much faster on my iPad. I tried to open the file that I used on the desktop yesterday saved in Dropbox) today on my iPad. When I select import file from cloud and go to the file and tap on it to open the file the app, Affinity Designer, on my iPad crashes. Are the two software packages not compatible? That would be very disappointing to have to use Illustrator to open the desktop file to save it as a different file so I can open it on my iPad. I'm trying very hard to give Affinity products a go so I can drop Adobe...so far...not going great. That said, I'm willing to accept culpability. Please advise.
