  1. I just found out that it is possible to Drag and Drop Pictures directly from the Browser to an Affinity Designer's Document, which I find perfect for quick working and brainstorming. My question is - since the picutres are not linked - are they then embedded in the doc and the docs size will increase the more pictures I drop there? Since pictures from the net are relatively small (in Data-Size) it shouldn't be a big thing to have - lets say 100 oder 200 pictures dropped in? The document also does not become buggy from it, right? Does anybody have insight on that? Would be helpful. Thanks in Advance! Roya
  2. It seems to me that if while using the iPad AP, the internet connection is lost or a shared drive becomes unavailable, iPad file management seems to hang. If working on a file in AP when this happens, can no longer save even if file is local on My iPad, wheel just spins forever.
  3. -Sell the rights to the electronic copy of the workbooks as a package or as a separate license with trackable id's like electronic barcode signatures or some other internet tracking signature. Other ways of making electronic copies of the workbooks only accessible to the purchaser of record: -Limit the electronic copies of the workbook to 2 x the number of personal purchases of the workbook-linked to 2 electronic licenses for each workbook purchased-verifiable by order number+ip address+username+password. -Limit the electronic copies to 1 x the number of workbooks purchased by commercial purchasers-linked to an electronic license for each workbook-verifiable by a commercial license # + documented employee credentials (verified against commercial licensees verified current employee status) + username + password. (I doubt seriously that many people would be willing to give up their usernames and passwords to third parties). -It would be impossible for a third party to be able to broadcast the ip address of the network of the original purchaser. -Only the original purchaser could submit changes to the ip address, verifiable by supplying the original ip address + some other factor like router signature/serial number or some other network signature trackable by Serif Labs when you log in. -Make the electronic copy of the workbook an online workbook whereby the purchaser of record has to log in which gives Serif Labs the opportunity to compare the ip address, username and password with the last used credentials and/or the last ip address used to access the electronic copy.
  4. When I travel outside USA to locations without internet, I have trouble activating my laptop's Photoshop and Lightroom applications if I have failed to do so before I left. Apparently these applications on my travel laptop are not useable unless the laptop has been in a location with internet access every 30 days; that is, I must activate these laptop applications on line. This means that among the numerous chores done before a trip, I must open the laptop and make sure the Adobe applications are happy and useable. Will Affinity require any such thing or will it work as a stand alone application, internet access notwithstanding? thank you Melody
  5. Hi, I have not yet purchased this product but am seriously considering it. Due to economical reasons, I have decided to get rid of my internet and need a software that does not need an internet connection. If I buy this software, will it work without the internet? Thanks.
