Hello, I try to import new pencils but I can't see them in the pencil's menu. I though that was a mistake (they hadn't really import or something) so I did the import process again and Affinity Photo show up that they have been succesfully imported but adding a number at the end (I did it 3 times already ). I guess that is because the pencils already existed but I can't see any of them. I got differents pencils imported succesfully but I cant with these ones. I download them again, restart PC and nothing. It is supousse that they are there, but I can't pick them. If I can't really import them, there is a way to erease them? Because it is suppose that they are there as Affinity Photo say... can I find them in any folder and erease them? http://steaz.altervista.org/affinity-designer-free-brushes-ropes-leaves-laurel/ These are the pencils. Hi There, I purchased Affinity Designer last week and i'm hoping to use it as a replacement for Illustrator in the future. One of the things that i'm testing now is the importing of workfiles, made in Illustrator. The import of AI files goes surprisingly well! All layers that were made can be found in Affinity and non outlined text is editable. I was hoping to archieve the same result with EPS files, but that's not the case: there is only 1 layer with all elements in separated sublayers. And non outlined text is outlined. When i make a new file in Affinity, export it as an EPS and then open the file in Illustrator (cs 5.5), the elements are visible but the document size is not the same as the root document. Also color swatches are not preserved (same goes for importing EPS and AI to Affinity) These mentioned things might become a problem when working with other companies who use Illustrator. But i'm new on this, so maybe you can help me with these questions. Thanks a lot! Marcellus -
This is my first time trying to import RAW photos to edit in Affinity. I've copied the photos from my camera (Fujifilm xa3) to my desktop, then opened in Develop Persona. I can't figure out why the images appear almost blank - they are mostly white with a few coloured pixels, and the image is changed to a square. What am I doing wrong?? Please help!

I have an M50 and when I attempt to import to my iPad Pro via the lightening card reader, all I see are the video files. I have tried shooting in both the CR and CR3 Formats Any help here would be appreciated -
I recently started using Affinity Photo and found I could not preview the RAW files from my Lumix GX8 camera prior to import. Is there a way I can do this? Thank you for any assistance. -
Photos has a new habit of crashing when I’m trying to load RAW files. Using an iPad Pro and importing from a sony a6500. At first the RAW (not even raw+JPEG files) are loading as PNGs in the regular persona. Now when I try loading the same file it crashes. Any ideas? -
Hello all, I am trying to edit RAW files from my sony a6500. Affinity is showing the files as RAW when I go to import, but only about half the time are the photos actually loading as a RAW in the develop module. Sometimes they do, sometimes they dont, there doesnt seem to be any pattern or consistency. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi! I have trouble importing RAW-files to my iPad Pro (12,9, 2nd gen) running iOS 10. I have uploaded NEF-files to Google Drive from my Nikon D300. The problem is that they won't open. If I try to open them from GD with the "open in app"-command, nothing happens. And if I navigate to GD from within Affinity Photo the NEF-files are greyd out and cannot be opened. I tried to send a file to iCloud Drive but it too is grey and cannot be opened. I converted one of the files to a jpeg. and it opened just fine from GD. Hi all! I got a serious problem with some jpeg files after importing them. I tried to open a jpeg of a Corona sixpack (no promoting intended) in AP and this happens. Most parts of the photo are missing and the missing parts are transparent. Any ideas?? The issue is not present if I first open the jpeg in any other software and convert it to .png but I would really like to safe the time bc I work on thousands of photos... (sorry if a similar issue has already been posted and I missed it)

Hello, confusion reigns. I am importing jpeg images from Olympus 16meg micro 4/3 camera to iPad using SD card adaptor and wirelessly using Cascable. When I view file size in iPad Photos using the app EXIF Wizard Pro it tell me they are about 2meg. In iPad files it tell me same file size 2meg. When I open these same JPEGs in Affinity and then export them the file size is 9meg, this is the file size I would expect. I have tried this with both raw and jpeg imports and jpeg only imports. Am I getting confused with thumbnail images and full resolution images when I query the file size? As mentioned I am getting 2meg file size in both Iphoto and in Files. is the image size being artificially increased when it is put into Affinity. is the app only giving me the size of the thumbnail and Affinity automatically open full resolution image? any thoughts greatly appreciated. David

I'm trying to add an image to an existing image. Whenever I import the image, it completely fills the existing image and can't be resized. So I created an additional image (afphoto file) because files in the afphoto format can be resized. However, when I complete the following steps nothing is shown on the screen. If I use the square tool and try to paste the new image inside a created field, nothing happens except the square field remains.

I am trying to install the bonuses but when I try to send them to my iPad, it says "sent" but they do not appear on my iPad. When I try to import, there is nothing in recent. I install and import with all kinds of other apps but I am perplexed with this one. Help is appreciated.

Hello, I'm testing the 10 days trial of Affinity Photo and have an issue with multi-layer TIFF images generated by Adobe Photoshop: when I import such images into Affinity Photo, all layers are gone, flattened into a single layer. Is there a way to make Photo recognize the Photoshop's multi-layer TIFFs? Thank you for your help! -
Hi all, Small question on brushes. In Affinity Designer we have the option to work with vector and raster brushes. We can also import brushes. I noticed that when I imported "DAUB | Comics Basic Set.afbrushes" in vector mode ("draw persona"), this set was not available, but is available in the raster mode ("pixel persona"). So, from this I conclude that *.abr or *.afbrushes are vector or raster specific. Is that a correct conclusion? Is there a possibility to use the same set of brushes in both vector and raster mode? Hope my questions are clear. O -
I have updated to 1.6.7 on my IOS device (IPad pro, iOS 11.2.6) When I am trying to import ORF raw files (TG 5) no image is displayed in the raw development window, when I tap “develop” Affinity crashes, I am able tough to import ORF RAW files from an EM5 mk 2 Camera, is the Olympus TG 5 not supported by Affinity in spite of the IOS support for this camera? If not, when can I expect support for this camera?

When I import a RAW file taken on the IPhone and develop it in Affinity’s RAW persona, and then do my processing and save the resulting AFF file, the thumbnail of that image shows in the Home screen as RGB 16 bit below the image dimensions. I’m a little confused; is this 16 bit/channel in the RGB, or the rather restrictive 16-bit RGB format? Sorry for a rather basic question, but I haven’t found an answer online. Thanks in advance. I’ve just downloaded the Affinity Photo app for the iPad and have a workflow question. I come from using LR on an iMac. I shoot a very large number of Photos per session. I might cull 80% of them immediately, as soon as I get a good view of the images. But in this iPad workflow, the problem is that once I pop my SD card into the reader, hundreds of photos (eventually) show up in the Photos app Import page, and from the small size of the thumbnails I cannot tell if an image is a keeper or not. I don’t want to import all the photos and then delete later—it will take forever, plus needlessly transfer all the photos to iCloud. Is there a solution to this I’m not thinking about? Is there a way to see larger thumbnails I don’t know about? Or a better import app that shows me larger images? Or perhaps is there an app that would let me look into the sd card and view them larger, before importing? -
I'm gonna guess this is in here somewhere... but I just got done spending 267 years of my mental life with Adobe support due to syncing issues their lovely cloud based system has brought into my already complicated life. If I have both Affinity for Desktop (windows 10 for now) and ipad pro... Will I be able to jump back and forth with my current edits. I know there is no cloud based syncing... I don't care.... But, if I'm editing on the go on my ipad, come home and want to continue where I left off on my desktop... will I be able to export from my ipad into affinity on my desktop and back again if necessary with my raw files? without creating 5 copies... or am I simply stuck with one or the other depending on where I start editing? P.S. sorry if this has been asked somewhere and answered... I just ... my eyes can't bleed anymore -
Hi, in Affinity there are nice tools to stack photos (focus, panorama, ...) :-) It is not possible to sent files from outside the program directly to this tools. But this would be nice, becaus of integration in Lightroolm and similar software. In the moment you can sent more photos to Affinity, but you are not able to use them in the stacking tools. Of cause, a "real" Lightroom integration would be the best for the workflow. For the moment it will help, if there will be a way to send photos to all tools in Affinity (and reimport the result). I'm now an official convert to Affinity Photo and love it. Just cancelled my membership with Adobe for Photoshop, I'm that confident it will definitely do everything I need. I do have one question though, I've invested a chunk of change in photoshop styles over the years and would like to continue to use them. Are there plans to allow the import/usages of the Adobe Styles? That would make it 100% perfect for me. Cheers Dan

Hello! I'm a Capture One user. I've been exporting tiff files & doing heavy retouching in AP before rounding back to finish color edits/crops/batching in C1p. Then i saw this and I'm wondering if i should: a) switch to PSDs assuming they're "better" b) continue using tif files because they work just fine c) ask you guys why the 2 best Adobe competitors aren't working together on making this workflow C1p-AP-C1p using afphoto files I'm going to be honest. If Serif wastes development funds on pushing a Lightroom competitor into an overcrowded market (rather than a legit asset manager like bridge) I'll be pretty disappointed. I'm sure no one cares. Serif already has >$100 from me & I'll rush the queue to get at that publisher sweetness when it comes either way. But, real innovation & working with industry leaders (as serif has with x-rite) is what I'm looking for.

Hi, i'm new to these forums and the Affinity suite, please forgive me if this has been brought up before, a cursory search did not return relevant posts for me. I'm looking for a way to synchronise presets in the develop persona between computers and Affinity Photo and Affinity Photo Beta. There seems to be no UI for this, but perhaps these presets can be synchronised between preference storage, where are the develop presets stored on macOS? -
Hi, I am having trouble with opening RAW files. It seems to have happened after the programme crashed last night (I didn't bother to restart it as it was past my bedtime) For some reason today, when I try to open a raw file, I am getting a weird purple hue. It seems to be taking a lot longer to open them too. I know it's not the files as they are opening ok in both Cannon DPP4 and Faststone. I have been using Affinity Photo for months now and this is the first issue I have had with it. Attaching a quick set of screen shots so you can see what I mean.
