  1. Hi there! I’ve just started doing digital illustrations using AD and I’m having a lot of fun! I thought I’d share some of my latest ones to see what you think? Have a good day, Jessica - Grafico Design
  2. I really didn’t know where I was going when I started this piece for fun, but one thing led to another as I got in flow. Very satisfying creative experience. Hope you enjoy!
  3. Hi there! This is an illustration I just did. Any suggestion to improve will be great! Thank you very much!
  4. My new series is on the way, I am trying sci-fi style illustration in this series. October is little bit busy. So sad.
  5. Scene from Hopper's "Nighthawks"(Nachtschwärmer) in comic art style. Hey guys, I'm looking forward to your feedback 😀 https://www.bodobe.de/nachtschwaermer/
  6. Creating my own "pre-code" horror comic... just a taster. Addendum: have added page 2. Addendendum: have added page 3. This is all for now, cos I'm back on an animation job for the next two weeks :( Another addendendendum: have been animating for the man for three months and have finally got back onto this. Page 4 added! I have missed working with Affinity. How's that iPad version coming along?
  7. Hi everyone, My Speed Drawing one main hero from Legendary Marvel Universe. Thanks for Watching
  8. After near 2 months resting, I am going to paint again, and I am learning how to draw with Affinity and Wacom, it's cool. And what's more, there is one thing recently makes me very angry, Huawei 251 issue, so it makes me to start my new series —— against 251, it's least I can do. This paint is the first one of 251, it's a copy from pinterest.
  9. Here's a recent fun personal iso piece done in Designer. Anyone who grew up in the 70's will be familiar with these 2 crime fighters. Steve McGarrett (Jack Lord) and Danny "Danno" Williams (James MacArthur) from the original Hawaii Five-0 TV series from 1968-1980. "Book'em Danno" was McGarrett's signature catch phrase as well as his trademark hair wave. Shown here is the original 68 Mercury.
  10. Hi, I've been using the forum for a while now and recently have commented on a few peoples work so thought it only fair I should have something to show for myself. So this is my first attempt using Designer. It's very incomplete. There are more characters being worked on (I've switched their visibility off) and a lot of things haven't been finished like the house, tree, grass and the cloud splash where the rainbow fish is meant to be entering the cloud. Pretty much most things are unfinished but it's taking time as my Mac is struggling to cope with the scale of the image now. It's for a children's book I'm working on. It's entirely done with vector, no brushes, no pixels. And also completely done using a mouse as trying to draw anything with my Wacom tablet results in the line taking about a minute to catch up with what I've drawn. Also It's only a portion of the image, the original extends both up and down. As it's so large I've added some sections of the image as well. Apologies for the essay.
  11. I have been a fan of Moby for many years, I like his melancholic style. The song "Harbour" reads: "My heart is full, my heart is wide". I thought about how big a heart can be. No idea. But when it's big, it should be filled with love rather than hate. https://www.bodobe.de/full-heart/
  12. Hi everyone, I'm new here. I have been on the forum a few times and looked around and decided to make the leap and join. A bit about me. I'm a mother of three children plus three cats. I've never used a vector program before but I have always loved looking at vector art. It fascinates me. I used to draw and paint a tiny bit when I was a young girl but haven't used that creative side for so many years. On my birthday 2019, I decided it was time I fulfilled that creative side of me and asked my children for Affinity Designer for my present. They were kind of like, what the hell, hahahaha. I had researched vector programs and Illustrator seemed to be the most popular. The ongoing cost was way out of what I can afford and I got sad at the thought I couldn't really do what I imagined. I researched further and came across Serifs products. They looked and sounded amazing. I read reviews which were great. I came on the forum and saw the passionate community. Yes, there were lots of issues brought up about designer but for the cost I thought I would give it a try. I am so happy I did. It has been a huge learning curve. I'm such a newbie at digital art. I'm watching videos and reading all the online tuts I can. I'm writing down all my experiments with the vector side of designer and would be happy to share them if there are any other newbies here. We can learn together.
  13. Hey everyone. This is a piece I finished recently in Affinity Designer. I wanted to create the look and feel of 70s retro scifi illustrations and at the same time I wanted to stay 100% vector. No traces, no bitmaps, no pixel layers. Critique, opinions and questions welcome :D
  14. Quick doodle in between a couple of more complex pieces.
  15. I'm sure there must be a graphic novel in here somewhere. If I could be arsed. Addendum: Have added in another character study here. Not sure where all this is heading...
  16. Guys! Tried another illustration style using affinity Designer on iPad. Let me know what you think? https://dribbble.com/shots/7593873-Hero-Illustration-for-an-upcoming-kit-Untitled
  17. Hi, I've recently switched over from Adobe Flash to Affinity D. And I'm really digging the whole experience so far . Before doing iso stuff in Fash was a real chore. But with AD's speedy zooms and new isometric tool it's so much easier and faster (plus all the lines are clean!). Here's a few icons I've been working on in case anyone might be interested. Cheers, Rob.
  18. Hi Affinity Community. My new personal work made with Affinity Designer. I hope you like it. More work in progress pictures: Old Wings
  19. Welcome to my second post on this beautiful community. Since the first post was all about pizza, I though it's time to enjoy the sweet taste of wine: You can also check the tutorial video here:
  20. Hey Guys! I've been exploring affinity designer both on my mac and now on iPad, and guess what! I'm just loving it. Here is my recent work that I was exploring in order to create a new illustration style I named Flexi it looks. I hope you like it. https://dribbble.com/shots/7229199-Flexi-Illustration-Style-Hero-V-1-0
  21. Since weekend is about to start everyone loves a great movie time. And what can be better than a bucket of chips and a good dip sauce along the road. Let me know what do you prefer: sour cream dip sauce or hot chili dip sauce? You can also see the clip in the bellow link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QN5aVQ4Y4E
  22. I have been known that Chongqing is a city with a lot of fantasic views. But untill I have seen Zhu Wenqiao's nice shots of Chongqing city, I finally make determine to create something about this city. This is the first one in this series.
  23. It's just a small bird (Kohlmeise, Great tit), but he has made me a little nervous. So many layers I had previously only in some large portrait illustrations. I thought so a bird is easy to draw, but he is not. Respect, little bird ;)
