  1. A new drawing has landed in my portfolio. Please take a look at it, I look forward to your feedback https://www.bodobe.de/magnetic-fields/
  2. Hello All, I have a rather unusual request and hope that no one is upset by my posting it on this Forum. I write short stories and get them illustrated via posting commissions. One story I want illustrated is particularly suited to being illustrated in a digital art form but my usual postings have not generated any interest form digital artists. I am wondering if anyone on this Forum is, or knows of, an artist who might be interested in a paid commission to illustrate a short story. If so, I would be happy to hear from them so that we might continue discussions directly, off the Forum. Sincerely, Robin
  3. Hello, friends. Tonight I could not sleep and I decided to draw something for the soul. This is what I did, Affinity DesignPad. I would be grateful for the support on Dribbble
  4. I have been a fan of Moby for many years, I like his melancholic style. The song "Harbour" reads: "My heart is full, my heart is wide". I thought about how big a heart can be. No idea. But when it's big, it should be filled with love rather than hate. https://www.bodobe.de/full-heart/
  5. I'm sharing here my recent artwork done using affinity designer, hope you guys like it 100% vector my insta: jhonatan.ssilva youtube: jhonatan s silva
  6. this software is awesome!!! I just wait for adjustments in the part of the booleans when separating curves with miter
  7. Interested in computers, graphics, animations, games, vr, interactives and internet? Computer graphics, animations and interactions are now self-evident. You just have to pick up your smartphone, tablet, desktop computer or what else and you feel intuitively when you have to swipe, click, drag or pinch zoom. You also expect nothing less than nice interfaces with smooth animations. But it wasn't always like this... There were times where there were no editors like Photo and Designer, nor Illustrator, nor Photoshop, and even computers and animations of frames didn't exist... I wrote a blog series of six where I like to take you on a journey through time with our focus on learning about the development before and during the creation of computers, digital graphics, animations, graphical interfaces, graphics software, interactivity, 3D, a pinch of the first games, the creation of the internet and a touch of virtual reality. I have made more than 110 illustrations for this series with Affinity Designer and also provide each part with at least one interactive to bring the events alive as good as possible for you. Part 1 is out there now! Hope you like it and I'm sure you learn something new from it and be surprised by some events! There will be a new part every month from now. Enjoy! 8. Hi, One of my latest illustration, a self-portrait. Any feedback will be appreciated :). Regards.
  9. Hello! I am using Affinity Photo since August 2018 but only recently I have started to do more illustrations and digital art with it. I've always been using Photoshop before then and I need to say I find Affinity fantastic! I would like to share some drawings and my latest speedpaint video. Please let me know if you have any feedback or advice to improve Thanks! Speedpaint video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKx1FbRYjZg
  10. Hello, 2018 year was realy exciting for me. I created many illustrations. So, now, I can present the set of my works created last year. Thanks for watching My website: Mateusz Justkowski
  11. Hello everyone! This is my first shot for dribbble. Work done in 1.7 beta. The isometric tools in the new version of Affinity Designer 1.7 is a bomb!!! https://dribbble.com/shots/5691827-Hello-Dribbble
  12. I've looked through the forums for existing questions on the shape builder tool and it seem like it's yet to be implemented. I'm stuck on building something and I'll like a help with the best approach to go about it in affinity designer. The red circles in the attached image indicate parts that I want to subtract from the thick black circles. But unlike regular subtraction, I don't want those ends taking the shape of the subtracted shape. I want something like the behavior of shape builder where I completely erase those red circle areas
  13. Hi! My work in Affinity Designer, feedback is welcome
  14. Affinity You Rock!!! This is my vector illustration of a painting I did almost 20 years ago, (I can’t take credit for the original work as that was copied from a magazine). I also did a photoshop version some years ago for a competition on worth1000 (anyone remember that?) I've tried to do something different and use more of designers tool’s than I did with the car in my 1st go. Hope you like it. cheers
  15. Doing a new series of illustrations of Cold War British Military Aircraft: These are three of the early Fighters that kept the Russian Bombers out of UK airspace: Cold War Fighters.afdesign
  16. As Inktober 2018 continues I decided to stay a bit longer with Photo. I am pretty happy with the mood and look of those three illustrations
  17. I've actually been drawing for this Inktober mainly in Blender 2.8 with grease pencil. However the last three days I needed a deeper, more painterly and textured look - perfect for the painting tools in Photo. Ironically, it was the special prompt list from Adobe, which made me switch back to Affinilty for those days
  18. Thought you might be interested to see what a total amateur can do with Affinity Designer. I'm not a professional artist, just an enthusiastic hobbyist, and am still learning the intricacies of Designer after switching from Adobe. My illustration isn't perfect but I'm pretty happy as a first attempt. Congratulations Affinity on great software, great tutorials and a sensible costing model.
  19. Started this one as a sketch on a stormy day. I wanted to make it look like it was a photographed piece made from construction paper. The best part was being able to complete the entire thing on my iPad from anywhere I happened to be, rather than sitting at a desk or with a rapidly warming laptop across my thighs. My first piece with the soon-to-be industry standard!
  20. Hey, What do you think about this form of illustration? What should I change or improve? More illustrations on the profile https://www.behance.net/mjustkowsk9b3b
  21. Hi, I’ve recently bought an iPad Pro and have been eager to try affinity designer, wow I’m blown away!! I work as a graphic designer and have to use adobe products at work, I could not imagine Having to illustrate this in Adobe Illustrator. Anyway this is my attempt at photo realism. Thanks for looking
