  1. When I export an Affinity file on iCloud, I just loses its history. Can’t find a way to keep it. When I reopen it, it’s the file without the history. If I instead duplicate it within the app, it maintains it if I select that option. I am new to the app so probably I’m doing something wrong. Is it possible to export the file WITH history to the cloud?
  2. Hello there, a feature i would love to see is one that apple uses in their iWork apps to create real-time collaboration among multiple people. A feature like this would be amazing and it would leap-frog excisting collaboration features in other software.
  3. I'm unable to see non iCloud cloud storage options like Lightroom cloud or Adobe CC. I only see iCloud and Google Drive when i press + option. I watched tutorial that showed many cloud storage options as compatible. Please let me know what i'm doing wrong . Thanks jack
  4. Sorry if this is repeat question - Im wondering what exactly iCloud Automatic Backup saves when I enable it on iPad and on Affinity ? I understand currently, the only option to backup/save files is to copy/export each project, so I dont understand what the backup app on iCloud does. Thanks
  5. Hi, Just downloaded the iPad version (already have the Mac version). Looks awesome, however I can't see the Affinity Photo folder in iCloud on my iPad. Shows up in finder and is accessible from my Mac. Any ideas?
  6. I just downloaded the program on my iPad Pro. First thing I tried was a hdr merge of three images. The next window asked me to add a photo or cancel. When I click add photo, I expected it to take me to my photo library, but instead it took me to iCloud Drive which I do not participate in. Is there an a way to source the photos from my photo library rather than iCloud Drive? Thank you.
  7. Now that Affinity Photo for iPad is out, and since Apple's iCloud, Photos, photo libraries, camera roll, etc., etc., confuse me a bit, (what's going where, and when?!?!) any chance that you might do a video on the interactions of AP for Mac and iPad and all those Apple functions? How can they be brought together into a nice workflow? If you've already posted such a tutorial, sorry. Thanks.
  8. To whom it may concern, sorry if this has been posted before, but I thought I would share a possible bug. I have seen this on the same machine running OS X 10.10.5 and 10.11.2 with Affinity Photo 1.4 (current MAS version) and with Affinity Designer 1.4 (current MAS version included here for efficiency since the bug is the same). When I launch Affinity Photo using the default settings (both on initial launch and any subsequent launches), I found that the iCloud file open dialog (for lack of a better term) is open, but hidden behind the AP and AD interface. I have attached three files to illustrate the issue taken on OS X 10.10.5: 1 = the AP interface launched a second time after initial launch (having disabled the welcome screen via checkbox in welcome screen). 2 = iCloud file open dialog being viewed after minimizing AP to dock (note that while the sidebar shows AP highlighted, the location address dropdown indicates AD folder on iCloud) 3 = iCloud file open dialog being viewed after minimizing AD to dock (note that while the sidebar and the location address dropdown indicates AD folder on iCloud correctly, the icon is for AP - I think this last has been an issue mentioned in the forum before) I should also mention that the behavior is identical on OS X 10.11.2, with the exception that the AP and AD interface window buttons in upper left corner indicate that something else has focus since those are white and not the 'red, yellow, green' coloring. I will try to upload a screenshot of that later today or tomorrow once I have reinstalled OS X 10.11.2. One other note that I couldn't capture with screenshot, is that there is a mostly translucent rectangle the size and location of the iCloud file open dialog that appears just above the splash-screen a split second before the AP and / or AD interface loads. Not sure if this is a bug or maybe a setting file in my iCloud folders, but thought reporting it would be the correct thing to do. My machine specs are: iMac (27-inch, Late 2013) Processor 3.4 Ghz Intel Core i5 Memory 32 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 2048 MB I have the latest Wacom driver installed for the Intuos 3 (6" x 11") tablet. All other software is updated and all vanilla installs. No customization software for UI, fonts or input devices. Thanks for your consideration. CorkyO Adding the following after re-install of OS X 10.11.2 from cloned backup of OS, but fresh downloads of AP and AD from MAS: Additional shots added: 1 - Shot of initial launch of AP showing welcome screen and iCloud file open dialog behind it, but in front of AP interface. 2 - Shot of second launch of AP (after disabling welcome screen and quitting AP). Notice the three white buttons in upper left corner of AP interface indicating something else has focus (I am guessing it is iCloud file open dialog). 3 - Shot of iCloud file open dialog seen after minimizing AP to dock. That's if for my report. Hope this helps! BTW - would love to be able to type in AD without bounding box as one can do in AI. Very helpful when trying to determine how the type looks in the design while typing. Just a thought... Best regards, CorkyO
  9. I just bought Affinity Photo. WhenI click the sample photo or the iCloud icon, the little down arrow turns to a red X. I'm sure there is a simple reason and solution.
  10. I've been saving my affinity files in iCloud all along and now suddenly my affinity folder on iCloud is disabled. I can still open files from it but I cannot save to that location. my iCloud drives in other applications appear to still be working as expected. any ideas how to get iCloud working for affinity again?
  11. With an rMBP for the road and iMac at home, I am happy to see that AD uses iCloud to share files easily. But there does seem to be some problems/glitches. With AD open at both computers, saving a file from say the iMac, opening the rMBP does not show the just saved file but some other version of it. More problematic is if when both computers have AD running with the same file opened. Changes in one are not followed/copied by the other. With e.g., keynote files I have a habit of leaving my work on the iMac open knowing that keynote on the rMBP simply picks up where I left off and vice versa. There is complete transparency of platform for keynote. AD seems to not regard this and creates a conflict. Bug, intentional?
  12. A question just occurred to me when thinking about how iCloud will work with the suite. Affinity shares the same file format across all the apps right? So in other words I will be able to open my Affinity Designer files in Affinity Photo? If that is the case then how does sandboxed iCloud storage work? If I save one of my Affinity Designer files in the iCloud sandbox then when I go to Affinity Photo it won't be in the Affinity Photo sandbox.
