  1. I really didn’t know where I was going when I started this piece for fun, but one thing led to another as I got in flow. Very satisfying creative experience. Hope you enjoy!
  2. Is there an option to try Affinity iPad apps before purchase? I don't see a trial option. Thanks.
  3. Attached a picture. Its caused by wrong settings with high speed sync flash. wonder if there is anyway to counteract it by subtracting lines? Like generating a series of black and white lines of certain frequency and softness? (How?) filter frequency? Im not sure
  4. Yesterday I downloaded the latest version of Desinger for iOS. First time I’ve used it. I have a few questions, mainly about masking, but wanted to star off with what I think, is a bug. ive rotated one of the layers in a document I’ve created. Only two layers. Ive done some editing on it, no issues there. When I go to export, the thumbnail showing what will be exported is showing the rotated layer upside down. The resulting exported files (I’ve tried a few things) are also showing this. I’m using a 12.9” iPad Pro 2020, iOS 13.4.
  5. What I want to do is apply an unsharp mask in Lab mode on only a and b channels, is this possible? In photoshop (desktop) I would convert to Lab, select the a and b channels, apply an unsharp mask with a large radius (say 80px) then convert back to RGB edit: figured it out finally, tap document icon with three dots then convert document, then it shows up at the bottom

  8. Whenever I try to create an hdr merge after photos are imported and the merge starts affinity photo crashes and closes out. I am running the latest versions of iPadOS and for affinity photo. I’ve never had this problem before. I’m using my mavic 2 pro and I’ve used the hdr merge before with no problems. IMG_1440.MP4
  9. Can´t open Affiity Photo iPad files (from iCloud) in desktop app. "Can´t open file. This file version is not supported by this affinity-version" ("Die Dateie ließ sich nicht öffnen. /pfad/... Die Dateiversion wird von dieser Affinity Version nicht unterstützt.") Desktop: Version 1.16.11, iPad: 1.8.2 Thanks for your help!
  10. How do you do the equivalent of "Free Transform" in the iPad AP? I have a box in a 3Q view and need to put an image on one side of it. I am dealing with perspective and masking. I know how to rotate and skew, but I can figure out how to "free transform" for perspective. I have not found any tutorials. So I need your help everyone. Thank you. JG
  11. Is there a panel to input / edit the equations for the Procedural Texture filter in Affinity Photo on iPad? I can't figure out how to find it. Thanks.
  12. I have the doc "A Guide to installing creative resources downloaded from the Affinity Store." The Assets Studio is mentioned, and it tells me to import assets through the Assets Studio, but it doesn't tell me how to get those assets onto the iPad in the first place. Does the Assets Studio make a connection to my account on the Affinity Store and let me choose which to import?
  13. Hello, ‘I’ve been using the affinity iPad app for about a week now so I’m still fairly new but am used to the majority of its features and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made, being a fashion student we are constantly using adobe software and I’ve found this software gives me all I could need as a student like the option to make my own brushes for technical flats, but I had one question about how you can make patterns and then fill a shape in with said pattern I think in Adobe it’s called a swatch although I could be wrong, I hope I’ve explained this well enough it’s hard to word but if this was a feature this would be super helpful to me and I’m sure lots of other fashion students.
  14. Affinity Designer for iPad is crashing constantly when I use the vector brush. This only happens when I set the brush to 'Pressure' in the controller. I can use the pencil tool without the controller set to 'None' and have no problems. When using the vector brush with the 'Pressure' setting, it works for a minute or so, then the app freezes, crashes and my work is unsaved. I'm working on the latest version of Affinity Designer for iPad and on first gen iPad Pro with 256GB Storage (35GB free).
  15. While creating a new stack, if images are being downloaded the app crashes after the first two have download. When the app re opens the 2 downloaded show up on the current work. Please see video. Device - iPad 11 inch Pro 2018 iPad iOS - 13.3.1 Affinity Version 1.8.0 IMG_0096.MP4
  16. Please see video, but when using a grouped set of vector images and adding them together via the Geometry - Add, system crashes. iPad Pro 2018 - 13.3.1 Affinity Designer - 1.8.2 IMG_0100.MP4
  17. Hi, I was editing some images on the iPad yesterday. I'm trying to force myself to use the iPad more for photo editing because I'm tired of doing a quick iPad photo edit, then have to recreate a similar but more detailed edit on the desktop... double the work. I've grown increasingly more trusting of the Photo app in general. I've had some "serious edits" done solely in Photo on the iPad... printed large and was happy with the results and accuracy. So, back to my question... I was editing about a dozen images yesterday in Photo on the iPad. They were all RAW images, shot with nearly the same settings of basically the same subject matter. I found myself doing pretty much exactly the same preliminary RAW edit on all of them. Is there a way that I can somehow save RAW edit settings, and them batch apply them to multiple RAW images on the iPad? I'm guessing not, but I thought I'd ask. If not for RAW, is that possible for JPG sources?
  18. Hi team. I hope you guys are safe and well during all of this COVID-19 chaos! I have a quick question regarding Affinity Photo for iPad. When I draw, the screen seems to blur or lower in resolution as soon as my Apple Pencil touches the screen, and then it smooths out again when I lift it. I did a screen recording to show what I mean, here's the link (be sure to watch in HD): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSQTuxV0E34 Why does this happen? It's subtle, but it can be a bit disruptive when doing finer detailed line-art, as I can't always see the smaller areas in as much detail while drawing. An example is the finer hatched lines in the video, which become quite unclear as soon as I put the Apple Pencil down. I seems to happen less when I'm quite zoomed in, but I tend to prefer working a bit more zoomed out so that I can see more of the content I'm drawing while I'm drawing, and not get lost in the details. Thanks in advance!
  19. Does anyone have this problem with screen flickering? It's a major problem for my updated iPad Pro 12.9. The problem exists for both the latest version of Affinity Photo iPad and the test flight edition. The only solution I've found is to restart my iPad. Restarting every half hour or so is not fun. The recording is about 39 seconds but it settles down a bit here and there before it gets bad again. And both apps crash way too much. IMG_1696.MP4
  20. Hello, My affinity photo app for iPad crashes when I start editing a raw file of my Nikon D7200, I try with different photos and the application always restarts and I lose what I have done. I have an iPad Air 3 and the last update form Affinity (1.8) before the update I do a couple editions and this problem had never happened to me.

  23. Hey there, I’m wondering if there’s any way to get a shortcut to open a photo in Affinity directly from my iPads Gallery export menu. I’ve tried clicking edit actions but can’t find affinity anywhere as an available shortcut. See screen shot *** please help :)
  24. I love everything about the vector persona and making a lot of vector illustrations as you can see them on my dribbble account. However, there is just one missing feature for which I'm switching to pixel persona; applying grains, spray textures. Since these pixel brushes are not scalable, I might have to reapply these brushes again on larger formats. I wonder if affinity guys can include a set of vector brushes to apply a nice, subtle textures which cab be scalable. This is one of the features that can set affinity ahead of procreate as well. What do you guys think?
  25. Hey Gang, I have worked on a vector design at 297mm x 210mm and while trying to generate export it just spins the loading wheel of hate for ever. I was able to save a copy as an .afdesign file but I cant open it with any adobe programs. I just need the vectors as a .pdf or .eps to finish the design off on my mac. Any help would be amazing! Cheers frankenstien.afdesign
