  4. I would really love to have guide option tools added to the main toolbar on the left side of the screen. Maybe right above the deselect, snapping, and delete icons. It would great to have a separate guide show/hide button, and then one to bring up the complete list of guide options.

  10. I think the app is missing a tool, or I can not finding it, to know what's the DPI of an imported image into a document (or even the real size of the image file in pixels, its resolution). I found that if I important an image I can not tell if the image has the dpi needed for good quality depending of the size it is placed in the design... the only way I can know that is using some math, with the size of the image in inches in the document compared to the resolution of the imported image, but that takes time when there should be some kind of bar, tab or tool where one can see DPI and other relevant info of the images in the document.
  11. We are pleased to announce an update for the iPad release of Affinity Photo, version 1.8.6 Changes in this build The changes in Affinity Photo for iPad 1.8.6 (over the last release Affinity Photo 1.8.4) are as follows: Fixes & Improvements: Colour sliders dialog relocates when you make changes on iOS 14. Adding a font into the Apps will cause iOS 14 to crash. Support for iOS 14 Scribble. Localisation improvements. Earlier changes in 1.8 added since 1.7 (including the new 1.8 features) are listed in some detail in the 1.8.0, 1.8.2 & 1.8.3 update announcements UPDATING TO THIS VERSION (Free for existing customers) The software version can be seen on the corner of preferences screen. Your Affinity iPad apps should update automatically next time you run them. However, you do need to be logged in with the same Apple ID you used to buy them. If the automatic update does not happen for you, go to the iPad App Store app and go to Updates. Once you’re there, tap near the top of the screen where it states 'Updates' and then hold, pull down and then release. This should manually refresh the updates page. However, don’t contact us if the updates are not available for you yet—Apple sometimes phase roll outs around the world and this can take up to 24 hours.
  12. Hey there, So I cannot cannot open my PSD files...I’m using the (updated) IPad 2018 and the newest Version of Affinity. I want to import them from my iPad ( not cloud, Dropbox etc) . (The psd files are mockups with multiple layers.) The thumbnails are fainted so I can’t even click on them.. can anyone help me please ? THANK YOU ❤️
  13. I get that I have to save my edited photos back to camera roll by export-share-save image, but somewhere along the line I’ve lost exif data, most importantly date and time taken. This means when I save to my cloud storage it’s out of date order with my other images. Surely there’s a solution for this but I can’t find one despite the searching. If I could save directly from affinity to amazon photos it might not happen but there’s no way to do that either afaik.
  14. I have a X-Rite ColorMunki Display to calibrate my screens. It even has support for iPad/iPhone, so I calibrated my iPad Pro 12.9" Mk.I with it and my iPhone 7 too. I can use an app called ColorTRUE to view my photos in real color on my iPad/iPhone. X-Rite says that other apps can be made to use the ColorTRUE profiles, so they will show true colors. As a photographer on the go, I often don't bring my heavy laptop with me with the calibrated screen and I rely on my iPad Pro 12.9" Mk.1 (which by the way has a terrible calibrated screen out of the factory). I edit a photo in Affinity Photo for iPad, export it and then check the real colors in the ColorTRUE app. Then go back to Affinity Photo and adjust colors, white balance, etc. if I need to. This is very cumbersome. If Affinity Photo for iPad could use the ColorTRUE Profile of my iPad, this cumbersome work around would not exist and I could use my iPad for more color critical photo work more easily. Are there plans for Affinity Photo for iPad to use ColorTRUE profiles? If not, are you willing to think about it? This would really make Affinity Photo for iPad justify the Pro in iPad Pro IMHO!
  15. Hello! I have been trying to figure something out for the past week, which I think is pretty simple, but I can't seem to find the solution, and I don't know if it's because there isn't one or because I can't use the proper words to find it online. I hope I can get some help here. In the screenshot attached you'll see I have a layer with a photo and then on top a layer of a vector shape following the outline of the photo, which is a flower. My goal then is to draw more vector lines that will join the outline (like the petals, or the sepal in the attached file). Since the vector line is just a line, not a closed shape, when I try to fill the section the whole shape gets filled instead, and if I try to close the line into a shape, of course it closes like in the attached file, because the vector line starts and finishes in two different places instead of being a closed shape. I don't know If I have made my problem clear. However, I would appreciate any help, I can't seem to find a way around this issue. Thank you all!
  16. Just purchased ipad version. Started program, selected Import from Photos, saw my various albums, but there was no "All Photos" option. Is this a known bug? Thank you. Robert
  17. I still have the same problem when "Scribble" is enabled, the Apple pencil can't be used. This with ipad OS beta 14 v. 8
  18. While using vector brushes in Affinity Designer, if I change brushes, I change the brush size as well. I understand that every brush may have been set up with an ideal size by its creator. I even understand that saving the last brush size used for every single brush in the palette may get cumbersome memory wise. I just find it a bit obstructive that if I use Vector Brush A at a size of 9pt, I change to Vector Brush B for a second, just out of curiosity or by accident(!), I select Vector Brush A again, and its size has defaulted to 2.3pt, or some other random number that isn’t where I left it. The feature I’m requesting: either leave the brush size where I left it between brush changes, or save the last size used with each brush, or let me set the default size for each brush under the “More” menu at the bottom of the screen. Even if all the brush sizes ran back to their respective defaults when I close the document, I could live with that. I would just like to be able to touch Pencil to screen and go, rather than have to adjust the Vector Brush Size each and every time I make a minor tool change.
  19. I open an old (Designer) document and what do I see! Pages ... the document has 8 pages and I can now format a document from multiple pages. With overflowing text frames, I hardly need a Publisher! (just kidding). My question is how do I get this? This was on a Ipad! Can someone tell me what hier is happening. I have look on Designer on the windows desktop but is not possible. This a question from one our dutch members.
  20. From yesterday when I'm working on a design, affinity stops working and it closes alone. I don't know what is the problem. It has happen when I'm uploading files, fonts and when I’m editing.

  22. While importing a brush, the default painting brush category has disappeared. How do I return them? If the app had to be deleted and reinstalled, is all my work lost? Should each file be exported to a safe folder? I'll appreciate the help....
