This happened before 1.7 update and still exists now. My basic workflow is as follows: I edit the original files on PC with Lightroom, then export a DNG file for more adjustments in affinity photo. I upload the DNG to OneDrive, download it to iPad, open with affinity photo, and here is what I get. Whenever I’m using tiff files everything is fine. So I suppose there is a bug when importing DNG? EDIT: I don’t know why my post keeps being moved into this category, it’s not where I posted originally Hi guys, I love the look of the new update! But... I’ve been trying to do a couple of things with some shiny new Frankentoon brushes (https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/store/product/neptune-brush-pack/) and free assets from Enrique for a tutorial here on the Affinity site (https://affinityspotlight.com/article/how-to-use-the-new-isometric-drawing-tools-in-affinity-designer-17/) The app is crashing constantly when I try either placing assets on an isometric drawing doc or trying to draw in pixel persona. I haven’t tried doing anything else because it’s happened so many times now, I feel like throwing the iPad across the room. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Designer! It’s just so frustrating when I can’t figure out what to do to fix this I don’t usually have issues with the brushes, I have sometimes had issues with the app crashing when I use assets. I’m not even sure if it’s these things I’m using that are causing the app to crash. I have tried closing out of all apps and restarting the iPad, this doesn’t seem to help. I have also transferred any docs I’ve got saved in the app onto my laptop so that hopefully I’m freeing up space but that doesn’t seem to have made a difference. I’m using an iPad Pro 12.9 iPad Pro 2nd generation, software version 12.3.1, 256GB with 206.48GB available. Please excuse if I’ve left any info out, I’m still learning... Thanks in advance for any assistance! candice EDITED TO ADD: I’ve tried deleting the app and re-installing, still keeps crashing, even just changing a brush. I’m getting really annoyed now, I never had this problem before & really disappointed.

I am new to Affinity. On rare occasions I can get the layers to move or nest, but most of the time, they will not drag. I have seen older posts here where others have had this problem as well, but I have not seen any resolution except to restart which didn't work either. Is there a preference or setting? All layers are unlocked too. -
All i want do is add a border to an image for a youtube video but everytime i try it makes my image the background image and the rectangle i use for my image remains in the foreground blocking what I would like to be seen. I dont understand what im doing wrong

Keyboard Short Cuts for IPad pro Only a day into Affinity Photo, so if i not seen the answer apologies. The Question simple, short cuts from blue tooth keyboard in Affinity can this be done ? On iPad Pro. Like say cmd key helped down on keyboard, browser options are now shown. Regards Rob -

Looking for feedback here...I work heavy in Affinty Designer and at times Photo. I currently have a supped up MacBook Pro and utilize my iPad Pro time when I need to draw. I’d like to move back to an iMac to expand my workspace and RAM with the new 2019’s and utilize my iPad when I’m away from the office. I posted another topic regarding asking about issues I was having directly importing ai and psd files from Google Drive and the Files app. Ultimately looking to see others opinion if I would be able to rely on Designer for iPad whenever I travel or I’m away. Any feed back would be much appreciated! -
When saving a Designer document from the ‘gallery’ screen, the dialogue that displays upon completion needs the words “for speed readers only” added. Or maybe an “OK” button, or some sort of user interaction to allow us to read what went where. Hi, New here so please forgive me if this has been dealt with before. I’ve just splashed out on a Fujifilm X-T3 and Affinity photo for iPad Pro. I’ve taken photos in RAW and although the iPad Pro shows thumbnails of the photos in my photo album, Affinity can’t open the RAW files. Is there a way of opening the files or is it a case that Affinity has yet to update the software to open RAW files from the X-T3? many thanks StuH

Designer keeps freezing

Designer on my 2019 ipad pro keeps freezing/crashing. It's also not saving several steps before crashing so I practically have to start over again. -
Is there any way to merge shapes the same way one would in AI via the Pathfinder toolset for Designer on the IPad Pro? I don’t want to use the Add tool and make everything one shape and I don’t want to Break all of my shapes up by using the Divide tool. I want to merge from the top down. Where the shapes above define the shape below it. Any help would be appreciated. Essentially I want to prepare a file to be ready to silk screen. I want to be able break out shapes based on their color. Is that possible? see the attached images. As an example.

I have Affinity Design and Affinity Photo in Win10. For portability, I want to buy AD and AP for a new Ipad, that I need to choose and buy soon. My main use of the Ipad will be to use the Affinity software. I need to choose between the new Ipad Pro 11 inch or 12.9 inch (with the new pen). But I noticed that in your compatibility list the new 11 inch Ipad is missing. 11 inch will be a bad choice? The 12.9 inch will be better to use AD and AP? -

Unknowingly awakening an evil force to his location.Now to save his town the only option is to flee, they attempt to lure the Sigma away with his friends in a stolen spaceship, now the only option is to run. Following the map to each location in the hopes to stop this Sigma killing the system. About the Project:Beyond Horizon is a small project I've been working on for a couple of years now, starting off as a 2d pixel art game before moving into this mixture of vector and semi-realistic textures that I started to play around with while working on an illustrated calendar.I'm currently working on this project solo so production on the game has been slow (along with changing a lot of things required to re-start from the ground up) and I felt like I should start sharing the project. 0A080C39-EE71-498E-B7A4-C7F0AC5FC666.MOV I have recently bought Affinity designer on my iPad Pro however as I’ve been using it the pencil became inaccurate in the selection. I would point at the shapes I want to move or vectors I want to adjust or the location I want to select and the accuracy would be way off. I have tried to use the pencil on other apps such as notes and it does not have the same issue. So, I believe it is the app itself. How do I go about re-corroborating the Apple Pencil with the app?

The three finger tap to control redo conflicts with ipad's zoom feature. How do you reset either the zoom feature controls in ipad settings or change it in affinity??? Right now when I 3 finger tap the zoom loupe overlays the screen and it is in the way. -
Hello Everybody.. I bought the app yesterday from the iTunes and I was thrilled with its powerful tools and it was a dream came true but not for too long, I was making a project and suddenly the app quit and when I opened it again there was a huge steps that I made hasn't been saved in the document I feel very frustrated and I don't know what to do.. does anyone know what to do? -

Hi, When editing my vector drawing I would like to use the selection tool to select, transform and move the complete eye including outlines and shadows. The tool only allows to draw a rectangle at 1 of 5 attempts (at the faulty attempts always a whole grouping is moved). As soon as I manage to draw a rectangle, not a single layer is marked, although the settings are set in the global settings (see screenshot). The selector "edit all layers" in Layers Studio is also on. I also tried, after selecting the main group, to reach the other objects and groups by double-tapping, but even in this attempt it was not possible for me to combine all the blacks and gray lines of the eye in one selection. I attach my complex AD file to you. How can I quickly select the eye including shades? This problem costs me a lot of time as I have to search for layers in hundreds of layers as a workaround. Instead of making a change in a minute, it takes a lot of effort. The app is really very good, but the Move tool is currently a showstopper when using it. Best regards Sandra Unbenannt_4.afdesign

Started this one as a sketch on a stormy day. I wanted to make it look like it was a photographed piece made from construction paper. The best part was being able to complete the entire thing on my iPad from anywhere I happened to be, rather than sitting at a desk or with a rapidly warming laptop across my thighs. My first piece with the soon-to-be industry standard!

The question has probably been asked before but I can’t find the answer. I duplicated an image, then wanted to transform it vertically, however the transformation is applied to both images on the iPad. Can anyone suggest how to apply the transformation to only one image. This is what I was able to do on my MBPT successfully but cannot duplicated on the iPad Pro
