So I’ve been trying to import a vector brush set from Artifex Forge and the app keeps crashing when I try. I imported another (different) brush set file from Artifex Forge today and I had no problems with that one. The file imports to the Mac Desktop version no probs. I learned a lot about using Affinity Designer for iPad with this piece. - To select multiple objects in the layers panel, tap the first item and then two-finger tap the last item. Those two items and all the intervening items in the same layer will be selected. This came in so handy for quickly selecting those hundreds of scales. Thanks to @DM1 for this one. - To add a gradient to a stroke, select the object (or objects or group!) and then open the appearance studio. Tap the stroke and then the gradient tool and drag it to position your gradient as desired. You can see the different stroke and fill gradients applied across the scales. Separate stroke and fill gradients gave me the most trouble though. Repeatedly the stroke would become unselected, or the fill would be selected instead (or vice versa if I was working on the fill gradient), or the gradient would disappear and I’d have to start over. These issues made adjusting the gradient quite cumbersome and a bit frustrating. - To snap nodes to each other, well I never did really figure out which of the little symbols it was... but if you turn on all the snapping options in the node tool’s context toolbar, your nodes will snap. This was great for aligning the tip of the tail. And I’ve been wondering about how to do this for a long time. - Oh and I found the in-app user manual which is basically a lifesaver. I wish I’d known about it sooner!

I was move a file out of a project folder on my iPad Pro, then suddenly Affinity Designer crashed. When I opened Affinity again, my entire folder with several vector images was gone. Completely deleted. No folder, no files. Which seems completely impossible since Designer for the iPad only allows for deleting files one at a time. Unfortunately, all of the vector images I lost were saved not up-to-date, so those files are completely gone now...

Real Smoke (675 pixels).ABRI tried to import several ABR Brushes into my AP iPadOS Pro 1.7.3.155 and each crashed. I imported from Files, iCloud Drive, not local storage. I made a short screen video, cutting out private info, using iMovie. I did go to a Settings, General, iPad Storage, Photo and cleared data and re-downloaded. I also shut down iPad, to ensure data was cleared. IMG_1701.MOV

I have a file in Affinity Designer file on iPad Pro (latest generation) that won’t open without crashing Affinity Designer causing it to restart. Is there any way I can get my file back? -
Hi, I started working on a photo composition again which I worked on some months ago. Last time I used this program before its latest update. But now the app is lagging hard, loads very long when I want to move any object or apply whatever changes, it crashes sometimes and freezes. In result the app becomes pretty much unusable and it’s frustrating. I’m using an iPad Pro 12,9 of the 2nd generation. Are there any fixes in sight or am I forced to get a new iPad now??

A couple of questions about Infer LUT What format does the image that you are inferring the LUT from? When I was using a .tiff image, pressed infer LUT, that took me to the image I wanted to us, selected it from cloud, screen went back to AP, then went back to the cloud source where I needed to select it again. It then went back to AP and applied the LUT. Is having to select the image twice the normal process?

when using "open from cloud" I used to be able to see thumbnails of the files - this was very helpful as the names are often not enough. since a few versions ago its not possible anymore. my device is iPad Pro 11" 256GB

I have purchased the Affinity Photo app on my wifes ipad pro, and setup family sharing on her pad. On my pad, i can see the app in the store under purchases, do I click on the download icon, but nothing happens. My understanding is the app is sharable up to 6 members. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you, Al -

So I noticed an issue on the iPad Pro (latest model) when you try to select an object on the canvas. When I try to select an object with either my finger or Apple Pencil it will select a total different object that is no where near where I touched. It makes fine tuning difficult and zooming in doesn’t really help. Anyone else notice this issue and have you found a solution for it?

Regardless of how long it took AP to stack the 11 images, way to long, the outcome was beautiful. I also did two merges then another stack all on an iPad Pro. There are three orange to teal gradients used and the lighting filter, as well as some painting. AP is so awesome and I hope soon that they fix whatever is slowing it down and turning our hair grey in the meantime. This is a jpg image, the original .afphoto is over 2 gb.

Hi, I am using a new 11‘ iPad Pro with 512gb and I am trying to stack several (Raw) images into one. Stacking 10 images seems to take around 10 minutes, for me that seemed to be pretty long. So I checked the CPU load when Affinity Photo stacks the images and my iPad is hovering at around 26%. When idling it is at 4,5% (see attached image). Is this normal or a bug in Affinity Photo for iPad? Maybe the process is running on just one core? Thanks Mathias

Apple wants way too much for the Apple Pencil. (Stylus) There are quite a few aftermarket options; has anyone tried any with Affinity for compatibility? If so, which make and models did you have success with? -
I buy affinity designer for iPad the app size was 1.1gb but when I downloaded from the app store the app size is 800mb and the download complete so when I open the app it's freez like a solid picture I can't open or press any button all freez Need help please

I saw this video on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX_h98OW4-8&list=WL&index=14&t=754s It's about compositing video into an image and the tutorial is made for Photoshop. However, I wondered if it is possible to do the same on either WIN desktop or ipad pro 2017? I have been unable to place the downloaded mp4 file onto ipad and thought this may not be available in Affinity Photo?

Best tips - Techniques 0:55 use the Erase layer mode to "Subtract" a shape behind, remember to keep the objects at the same group! 2:27 you can build shapes by drawing vector shapes - then you Expand Strokes at top menu 3:55 use pencil tool and sculpt the lines as you wish 4:02 you can add drop shadow FX on the group of lines and apply to them all

Hi, I am trying to load a LUT adjustment layer on Ipad pro. But I am not seeing the .cube files (files are blur) when I try to load them. I know that .cube is recognized format for affinity photo. Is anyone facing this issue?

I have a project in which I need a star shape with several points—easy. But I also need the points of the star to “wave” like sun rays. I know I can convert to curves and individually add nodes to each of the points, and then “bend” the lines to create the wavy rays. I want to know if there’s a way to create those rays universally—in other words, editing one star point edits every star point. Is this possible?
