Does anyone have—or know of a site that has—any benchmarks of how Affinity products perform on the new iMac Pro, vs a standard 5K iMac? Startup, filters, the usual suspects are good benchmarks, though I'm very curious about RAW file handling time, as well. Throwing 42.5 megapixel RAW files at anything takes time, and although an iMac Pro may be a bit of a lavish expense, if all these numbers are significantly better than on a 5K iMac, it very well may be worth the upgrade. So long is spent watching progress bars instead of editing. Thanks for any and all help! -
Hi, just downloaded photo 1.6.7 on imac 10.13.3 retina 5k, 27 inch late 2015 3.3Ghz intel core i5, 8 GB Radeon R9 2GB Checked with activity monitor and nothing of significance is going, affinity takes all all % CPU. But something must be wrong, or not? I carefully looked at all feedback on line before buying this app but it is completely unusable at this speed. Apple Photos, Adobe Photoshop when started separately work well and fast. Much appreciate some help! Was so much looking forward to this software... )-: thanks Arnim -
Hey. My plugins (Nik) disappeared after updating to the later Affinity Photo. I'm on iMac. I've tried going into preferences - Photoshop Plugins but obverting I've tried doesn't work. I have no idea what I'm doing lol! Any help would be appreciated thanks :-) -

Hi how does affinity photo perform while editing raw files using a 2017 Imac I5 8GB Memory Imac? I head photoshop and lightroom is very slow, I just wondered if anybody used affinity with this spec mac? Darren -
I Have a iMac 27" and I use both windows and Mac (Yes) My question is the affinity Designer and Affinity Photo is better on MacOS or Windows. I'm a graphics design student so I just have enough money to buy one for my study and my work in the future. Thanks for all advice -
Since really exploring Affinity products, I decided it's time I put my MacBook Pro aside and get something that AD and APh can really take advantage of the core features of the latest hardware. What would be your model choice, screen size, most helpful peripherals/accessories? Of course budget has to come into it, but I am more interested in the right equipment to get work out without being extravagant and wasteful. Thanks for your replies. Michael -

Don’t know if anyone has brought that up already but I just saw that on a page presenting the iMac, Apple is using an image featuring Affinity Designer (second image down). Good on you, Serif. :) -
Hi, I'm using the latest version of Affinity Designer from the Mac App Store (1.4.3) on a brand new iMac 27" with a retina display using OSX Sierra, and I'm having trouble with the bounding boxes around selected objects. Sometimes they show, sometimes they flicker on/off, and sometimes they're invisible. I'm not changing any settings such as accidentally turning them on or off, so I wondered if this was a bug with Sierra/Retina display? Anyone else having this issue? It's making it quite difficult to use the app. Cheers Michael -
My TIFF files made with Affinity Photo are not displayed in Apple programs including Photos, Finder and Preview. This seems to happen to files made after a certain date some time this year. The Apple tech I talked to said there seemed to be a fix by Affinity Photo. I cannot find it. How do I get this issue fixed? Thanks. -

Hi, I just downloaded the trial version today [25/09/2015] and installed it on my 2 week old iMac with Yosemite. Presently I use Photoshop Elements 9 and didn't want to spend a lot on more software for my new computer. I like the initial look and feel of the program and the fact that command-L brings up the much used levels option that I am used to. Another aspect of Photoshop that I sometimes use is the clone stamp tool and I tried this next, It works the same way as Elements in that alt-click selects the starting point and shows a little "+" as the source point. But when I start trying to clone the way I do in Photoshop nothing happens. Opacity and flow are both at their default 100% and hardness at 80%. Am I doing something wrong?
