Hey ho! Vignelli inspired transit diagram showing the Staten Island Rapid Transit lines in 1949. The North and South branches closed in 1953. Added ferry connections that run back then. It's anachronistic as the design is from the 1970s conceived by Vignelli for the MTA transit diagram. My approach is abstract and geography is only partially accurate. Have fun - constructive feedback is appreciated. Chris 🙂

I am trying to recreate the text used in patents back in the mid-1800s. I have found it extremely difficult to do with Affinity Designer and Illustrator (in the past). I have purchased Affinity Designer for the MAC but I fall into the casual user category. I have scanned the internet for help with little luck. I am not trying to create a new font set but just trying to create a clean copy of the attached United States Patent Office text as a vector image or whatever works the easiest. This is being used to recreate some old patents since very clean and crisp copies are not available. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Steve

I had fun drawing this lady; I grabbed some images of 20th century dresses, mixed and matched various items (the top, the skirt, the belt, etc,) and drew my own face and hair to make her mine. I was intending to get started on my villains series but, well, she doesn't look particularly villainous. She's just ready to go to a party. That said, anyone have ideas for female villains from literature? :-) I've got *plenty* of guys. (I think I'll try for an illustration of Cruella de Ville next. A fur coat ought to be interesting to draw!)
