  1. Good morning and I wonder if anyone is able to help me with this please? I edited a photo in Affinity and checked the highlights, they were fine and not clipped according to the clipped highlights button on the top right, the Scope graph and the Info numbers panel. However, when my mentor imported the same photo into Lightroom the highlights were clearly blown. Am I misreading the numbers in the info panel, are they nothing to do with the highlights and is there anything else I should be doing? Thank you.
  2. I'm wondering if there is a way to keep this box open like the others (exposure, saturation, vibrance etc.) are always open? I use the feature often and would prefer to have it always open already as opposed to having to check the box AND scroll down first. Thanks in advance for advice.
  3. Hi All, I am 6 days into my free trial of affinity photo. I really like the software but have noticed that whites/highlights blow out way more severely than they do in Lightroom. Is this something affinity is known for? Is it an issue and is there a way to modify it, so that it is not as sensitive to exposure/white adjustments? Cheers Iain
  4. Hi, I've been using Photo on iPad for a few months and am not satisfied. I've tried editing RAW files from a Fuji X-T20 and find that adjusting highlights leaves them nowhere near acceptable. They quickly blow out without usable detail. Raw Power does a much better job, and for those who are familiar, it doesn't have as many options as Affinity Photo. Photos for iOS does an immensely better job of adjusting the color out of all three, and it comes with it's own unique set of issues. I'm aware that X-Trans files have been known to be problematic in the decode, so I tried adjusting some of my older files from Canon—6D, 60D, 20D, and Rebel XT. Everything Affinity Photo edits on iPad has the same blown highlights and flat color. Has anyone else had and overcome this issue? I'd be happy to learn form others and make life easier for editing, if it's at all possible. Thanks!
  5. I have a problem by using the Shadow and Highlight sliders of the Develop Persona. Please compare the two results. The only thing I tweaked have been the Highlight slider to -100% and the Shadow slider to +100%. All other switches set to OFF/Unchecked, in Camera Raw and also in Develop Persona. The only exception was the usage of the Camera Colour Profile "Neutral" the RAW file offers (not available in Develop Persona), but this only affects subtle the colours. Camera Raw also applied the automatic lens correction profile, which is also not recognised by Develop Persona. Everything else was disabled (sharpening, denoise, etc.). Please see attached results. The one on Develop Persona is unfortunately much worse than the one of Camera Raw/Lightroom. I also attach the RAW file. I am very keen on your reply to this, and I really appreciate in advance. Hey guys, there is a problem on upload of Lightroom/Camera Raw generated JPGs to Affinity Forum sites, this error only occurs if I want to upload the Adobe generated JPG sample: Best regards, Roland RAW File: DSC00644.ARW Camera Raw Output attached as Zip: DSC00644-CameraRaw.jpg.zip
  6. So I have an image where I need to highlight, i.e., bring out the color detail while making that area pop. Basically I have an image that is yellow and blue with already a lot of blue and yellow in the image so if I crank up the yellow and blue it just increases that color globally. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
  7. Hi there, I'm testing a raw image. Here's what I've noticed. It seems the highlights can be pushed only that much, whereas in Adobe Camera Raw I have more room. A few images below:
